Great experience and great quality product
The process before hand was explained thoroughly and clearly. The installation was quick and everything was explained on the day. Much cheaper alternative to other quotes that i'd be given, no hidden costs, upfront from the beginning. Would definitely recommend

Great company, very personable and high quality products. Used them in 2023 for a single door and 3 panel bi fold. I've now just used them for new windows for our loft conversion. All great end to end service would recommend!

Great product but get it from somewhere that cares
We purchased an Origin door with fixed side panels. The quality of the product is excellent but my suggestion is to get it from elsewhere. Here is a list of the issues I have had with the bifold shop and the lack of customer service:-
Lack of pricing transparency – We ordered and paid for the door but then remembered we had a 15% off voucher. The sales team then claimed this discount had already been applied to our order despite not being indicated on the order forms.
I was sent (after having placed my order) a quote for someone else including all their personal data.
Installation – The installation is where most of the issues arose.
• The installers cracked a tile in my kitchen. No solution offered.
• The installers used an angle grinder on the cement base completely filling my house with dust. They held up a dust sheet (yes one of them actually stood in the doorway brandishing a sheet) which obviously had no effect – surely it’s installation 101 to fit and tape down a plastic dust barrier during the messy parts. The basement was completely covered in dust which found it’s way into the rest of the house covering every surface. After complaining to the office, the installers did clean the basement but didn’t move any items meaning we had to re-clean most surfaces when they left.
• Double glazing panel scratched – this was subsequently replaced without issue
After sales service – I complained about the dust in the rest of the house several times and, after a few days of silence, we arranged for the cleaning to be done ourselves. Several emails and broken promises of callbacks later someone called Alan (who I think is the MD called me). It was clearly an irritant for him to talk to a customer. His attitude lacked any empathy or hint of apology and he just defended his installers justifying that holding up rather than taping a dust sheet in place was good practice. He stated they never pay for cleaning no matter what - company policy. As you will see for some of the other low rated reviews the responses from Bifold lack any form of apology and contain a only defensive rebuttal to the customer issue – I suspect if you read on you will find one of these below my review.
The test of a good company though is how they deal with situations when things go wrong and here the bifold shop completely and catastrophically failed.
Update following the response from the Bifoldshop.
Customer satisfaction is something the Bifoldshop simply don't understand. Their response below incensed me so much I felt the need to add the following comments. Not only do they reinforce my point that they don't understand customer service but it is littered with factual inaccuracies. Customer service isn't that difficult - when things go wrong admit it and at least try to put it right - arguing with the customer is never going resolve the situation.
Factual inaccuracies in their response
1) The opening discount WAS NOT confirmed at the time of order.
2) I did NOT request the fitters cut into the steel. This was their suggestion. All they had to do was remove the steel door strip but in the end they chose to grind it out. The method of removal was their choice and was the wrong choice as evident later when most of came out along with the concrete.
3) When the MD called he never once apologised. The tone was exactly as in their review. A pathetic attempt to justify what they did. All I wanted was an apology. I had to pay for my house to be cleaned after their mess. I did want this reimbursed but any sign of empathy or a hearty felt apology would have probably satisfied me. I felt like they just didn't care - an opinion they only continue to reinforce.
4) I never threatened to leave a negative review if they didn't agree to put things right. This is a lie. I said I would take further action - this review is part of that and exists entirely because they did genuinely apologise.
Other points of nonsense
1) Trying to justify that holding up a celotex sheet (that I supplied) along with a dust sheet manually held in place is an effective dust barrier is just a joke.
This shouldn't be that difficult or hard. A simply heart felt apology and maybe a small token of apology and you wouldn't have lost all the custom that you have now.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. While we’re pleased that you’re happy with the quality of your Origin doors and side panels, we are disappointed by the rest of your comments and would like to clarify the situation for transparency.
You received the same opening-week discount we offered to all customers during the launch of our new showroom, regardless of attendance. This was confirmed at the time of order, although Darren forgot to mention at time of quoting.
During installation, you specifically requested that our fitters cut into the steel, which was outside the original scope of works. Our installer, Nigel, advised that this would generate dust and ensured that adjoining doors were closed. To minimise disruption, he used both an 8x4 Celotex board and a dust sheet, and the team mopped and cleaned the room three times before leaving (evidence of which we have). While a tile cracked during the removal of the old door, you confirmed at the time that this was not a concern, as you had a spare. We're unsure as to why this has formed part of your review, as you were totally fine about it when the installers were on site.
The scratched glass was also acknowledged immediately and replaced within two weeks.
Our Managing Director personally called you yesterday to discuss your concerns, during which an apology was given for your dissatisfaction. However, it became apparent that the issue centred on your request for us to cover the cost of professional cleaning for your entire house (every room on all four floors); something we do not provide and have never offered as part of our installation service. It was also made clear during that conversation that a negative review would follow if we did not agree to this, hence why this review was fully expected.
We understand that any disruption to your home can be frustrating, and we always aim to resolve issues swiftly and fairly. That said, we also believe it’s important for prospective customers to see both sides of a situation. We take great pride in our workmanship, communication, and aftercare; values reflected in the overwhelming majority of positive reviews we receive.
Finally, while you’ve commented that our responses to critical reviews lack apology, we’d like to note that responding professionally and factually does not mean we are not sorry that a customer feels disappointed. We simply believe it is important to defend our team when we know they have acted appropriately and in line with our standards.

Lack of after-sales care
The bifold doors themselves are nice, but the finish and workmanship left a lot to be desired. I understood that my plasterer would need to tidy up inside after fitting, but both my builder and plasterer have raised concerns about the work.
The fitters drilled into the bricks above the door from the outside and left the bricks in a very poor state, with messy concrete filling the holes. There’s also quite a gap on the inside, and my builders have asked if any trim was left behind or was meant to be added — neither happened.
The day after fitting, Daria from customer service called to ask how it went. I raised my concerns about the missing trim, and she said she would look into it — but I never heard back. That was two weeks ago. I also followed up with an email a week ago asking for a call back, and still no response.
I had originally planned to have French doors fitted by them as well, but after a survey appointment that didn’t inspire confidence, I cancelled that part of the order — and I’m so glad I did. The finish on my other French doors (from a different supplier) is far better, especially around the brickwork, and looks much more professional from the outside. I actually wish I’d had my builder present on the day to handle the brickwork instead, but I was never told during the survey that structural support would be required.
In summary, the after-sales care feels non-existent once payment is made. I cannot recommend based on my experience.

Your installation took place on 24th July and, as is our standard process, our customer service team called you shortly afterwards to check everything was satisfactory. At that point, you mentioned the gaps around the door. This is something we often see with rip-out installations, as the original opening can sometimes need making good by a plasterer or builder afterwards; this is explained at survey stage, though we appreciate this may not have been clear in your case; it was stated within your contract though.
You also raised a question about trim. As this wasn’t noted as part of the original order, our customer service team checked internally to confirm whether any was due. Unfortunately, it appears there was a breakdown in communication between our team members, meaning you weren’t updated promptly. That’s on us, and we apologise for the delay in follow-up.
Regarding the brickwork above the door, we’re sorry to hear it wasn’t to your liking. In cases where drilling is required, our fitters aim to make good to a standard that will be finished by the customer’s chosen trades; however, we take on board your comments and will review this with the installation team to ensure consistency.
We’re proud of the quality of the products we supply, and it’s disappointing to us that the service on this occasion didn’t match the standards we set ourselves. A quick browse through our reviews, shows this is not our standard response after installation.
We thank you for your feedback, and apologise we haven't achieved our usual level of customer satisfaction.

From quote to design and installation, the Bifold shop offered a tailored and professional service throughout. Bothe the sales team and Aftersales support were excellent.
The price was very competitive and the quality and fit were excellent.
Our builders created them opening last based on the designs supplied by the bifold shop and their installation had the bifolds and skylight installed in a single day.
