Used to be good now shady as hell
They used to be great.But they have gotten shadier and shadier. Nowhere on their website does it say you have to review your items before 5:30 or you can't get a refund, but they just told me you can't get a refund if you don't review them before 5:30. You used to be able to look at a partial refund or a full refund if something was broken or damaged unless it is good condition. Now if it's in good condition, it can be completely shattered and useless and they still refuse to refund it. Buyer beware, do not buy anything at all from them unless it says brand new or your screwed. They've cost me over a $100 in items that were supposed to be listed as missing but never were, things that should be returnable but were not allowed. I hate writing this review because I have sent a lot of business there way including my own, and I'm not saying, don't buy anything from them, because I probably still will too.I'm just saying make sure that you don't buy anything unless it's listed as new or you can afford to throw your money away.

I put in a "Max Bid" on 2 items in the same auction, and won the first item and watched the auction close on that particular item at about $12 dollars under my max bid. While waiting on the second item I watched the first item auction open back up and the auction was ran up to my max bid, and then closed out again.
Good Condition Definition Is Misleading
Understand the company changed the definition of "Good Condition" in September of 2025. "Good Condition" now defines broken items, missing parts, heavily used, etc... They suggest an in-person inspection prior to bidding which shifts the responsibility of determining the condition of the item from the company to you. Prior to 2026 I got some good deals. Now everything rated as "good condition" could literally be something you have to pitch in the trash which happened on my most recent purchase. It is time to put this company out of business.

Steeling refunds by treating to close your account
I have been buying on bid FTA for a while now with little to no trouble. I have been denied Couple refunds for few dollars I let slide. This past week I had two one at 46 dollars and the other at 45 dollars. I got a nasty email saying they are closing my account for having to refund my money. Their own employees tried to help me find my missing items. I was told tools are usually stolen. They use predatory business practices. I'm not letting almost 100 dollars slide just to remind on their sight.

I placed a bid for “Only Box 2/2 Aziyah 81” Sofa
When I came to pickup the item at 195 Phillipe Road, Columbus, OH, I opened it and saw there are 2 sofa arms not even cushion pillows. In the BidFTA they have not mentioned any description on item, as a customer how would I know whether the box has only cushions or sofa frame or arms or something else without open the box and verify the product.I was so disappointed by seeing the product, I kept the item in the auction warehouse itself. When I asked the warehouse personnel over there, they have given me rude responses and abruptly said its your headache we dan’t help you and no refund will be given. I am planning to sue on them.
I am totally disappointed with the item which cost me $54. My sincere suggestion to entire BIDFTA corporation and staff is that “please make sure to give genuine and proper description of the item and exact pictures” your post to this item is ‘ONLY BOX 2/2 Aziyah 81’’ Corduroy Sofa’ which is very insane and incomplete description, my advise to so called BIDFTA is please mention the product description like below
“ONLY BOX 2/2 Aziyah 81’’ Sofa, with only TWO SIDE ARMS, NOTHING MORE THAN THAT” with EXACT pictures.
What should I do with these useless, worthless and unwanted A Sofa’s 2 Side Arms Only (photo attached), I requested for Refund, its my genuine and meaningful request, but BidFTA Personnel said its our refund policy and other conditions, we can’t help you.
Finally my sincere advise is please mention 100% accurate information in your postings, people like me will be there everywhere, and better DO NOT SELL INAPPROPRIATE and PARTIAL ITEMS, even if the partial items are usable that is okay to buy, its all money with proper customer satisfaction.

DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING!!!!!
I’ve recommended BIDFTA to a lot of people. I won’t any more after discovering their deceptive practices. After this recent experience, I discovered that BIDFTA has terrible ratings and reviews on the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, Trust Pilot, and Reddit. I recently bought a Hamilton Beach Bread Maker that was listed as “Good Condition”. Before I left the warehouse I tested it. Several of the buttons didn’t work and the mixing paddle, the instructions and all of the accessories were missing. However, according to the manager, Heather (Strongsville, OH), the bread maker still meets their qualifications as “good condition” BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE THE PHOTO — a stock image — on the web site! Meanwhile, a gentleman nearby was voicing his complaint that his purchase (I’m not sure what it was), according to the online description, was supposed to come with four pieces, not two. The same manager said he would not get a refund because the photo only showed two pieces.
To make matters even more frustrating, their customer service phone number (513) 771-1700 only tells you to visit the FAQ page or email support.

False advertising, fake photos, total ripoff
False advertising, deceptive descriptions, stock photos of items they arent even selling. Bought a new recliner with all the pics showing it new and complete. I opened it up and it only has two arms and a back. Half is missing. They refuse to refund. Will seek legal action for remedy. This place cons people out of money. I would give 0/5 stars if possible
Used to be Good, Not Anymore
Strongsville location. Used to be good and when it wasn't you could get a refund. Not anymore. Bought a toaster oven in good condition and it was a different model and completely used up and filthy!. Waited 20 minutes to talk to a manager that said she couldn't help and then another 10 minutes to talk to another and all she did was plug it in and said it turns on and it's yours. Also purchased an EGO trimmer that was marked New but the battery was missing. Once again was told too bad. Terrible management and completely unprofessional. They also strategically take pictures of items to trick bidders into bidding on good items when just where the pictures end show the true condition of the item. Blurry photos are another tactic that they use. After this experience, my kids were in the bins section and I went to get them. I talked to an employee and he confirmed the shady tactics they use to mislead buyers. Avoid the frustration of this place and look for another auction site, this place is now just a place to throw money away and collect garbage. If you do win something good, chances are that it will be magically missing with no help from staff trying to locate it. I used to recommend this place but not anymore. Beware!
Item listed as New/Like new dirty and missing partsw
What was in the box was not what was bid on. The item was listed as New/Like new, was used, dirty missing a power cord and not what was listed. Items bid on could not be found and I was told that it could be over a month before a refund would be issued. a "New" Keurig came in a box that was obviously opened and missing packing material. The Keurig will not even turn on.

As is….is garbage. Less than 1/2 of the item I bought was in the box. Totally misrepresented and of course no refunds. If it’s too good to be true. It is. Beware people!!!!!
Scandalous Practice
Purchase several items classified as good condition however the items where damaged or missing parts. There was no functionality for the intended purposes deeming the items as junk. These should have been clearly marked as "As -Is". Operators supports auctioneers deceptive and scandalous practice. Consumers don't have the option to alert others because they don't have rating or comment section.

New management = Poor management at the School Road location and poor customer support. Buyer beware. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years, never having any major issues other than a few items that have not been as described. Yesterday however, I was accused of STEALING because one of the items I picked up contained extra items in the box that were not mine. I have never stolen nor been accused of stealing my entire life. I simply picked up MY stickered items and was penalized for someone else’s mistake. My account was suspended without any further investigation or surveillance footage proving I did anything other than pick up my packages. The sales clerk had stated she noticed a previously opened box and found 2 pillows that didn’t belong. I picked this box up from the floor exactly the way she found it! After emailing customer support and stating my case they did nothing to help me except send a standard response stating that this is what they do when “trust” has been broken. I am absolutely blown away by how I’ve been treated. I have reached out to the Better Business Bureau about the matter. First response from Bidfta states that the clerk added that I cussed at her after they stated they’d have to report the incident to customer service. This did not happen either and only shows the lengths they will go to in order to save face. Very unprofessional, utterly disgraceful. They simply do not care about their customers.

Shelf… they basically said sorry about your luck. It was categorized improperly- obviously damaged and they wouldn’t do anything. I lost over $30. Another time they marked a mattress as being a full when it was a twin and told me I should’ve checked there… how can you un-vacuum seal a mattress on site?? It’s crazy. If you go, you can go to the bins or shop only new items and still expect them to rate things improperly…. Proceed with caution or just avoid!!
I got used wallpaper with a bandage in it
I bid on some wallpaper which was very wrapped in plastic. When I opened the plastic I discovered that it was used, has been pulled off the wall and had a used bandaid in it. When I contacted them they were useless saying to look at the pictures when bidding. Which you could not see the item because of all the plastic wrap. They literally sold me trash. They knew that when posting. I could have contacted something from the bandage, it had blood on it.
Too risky to waste money
The first picture should be the actual item not something similar. I have been bit too many times and will no longer risk my money for what possibly could be trash.
