First class service on my Jaguar FPace purchased by ARJ Motors

I saw a listing of a Jaguar F Pace that ARJ Motors had and instantly fell in love with it. I called to enquire about the vehicle Tuesday 21st April 2026 and asked if they would hold the car and if I could view the car. That afternoon I went to see the car and I was not disappointed and it in fact exceeded my expectations.

From start to finish I could not fault ARJ Motors, they were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Superb communication, extremely helpful, friendly and incredibly welcoming when we arrived on site. We were made a drink whilst we went through financing and they looked to give the best financing available to me. They really went above and beyond.

Once all finalised, they also delivered the car to my home Thursday 23rd April 2026 due to my father’s terminal illness making things so much easier, less stressful and hassle free. I really couldn’t recommend them enough, they have all been absolutely terrific.

I drove my car for the first time today and it was like a dream.

Thank you all so much, if I was looking to get another car, I know exactly where I would be coming. Thank you all once again and best wishes to all at ARJ Motors.

I had a very poor experience with ARJ…

I had a very poor experience with ARJ Motors and would strongly advise others to be cautious.

Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, serious mechanical issues became apparent. Despite assurances at the time of sale, the car developed ongoing problems that required significant repairs. Unfortunately, these issues were not properly resolved and continued to worsen over time.

As a customer, I expected a vehicle of reasonable quality, especially from a dealer, but this was not the case. The situation has resulted in considerable financial loss, stress, and inconvenience.

In my experience, the vehicle was not in a satisfactory condition when sold, and I feel the situation was not handled fairly.

I would recommend that anyone considering buying from ARJ Motors carries out thorough independent checks and inspections before committing.

The vehicle in question was a Jaguar XF purchased from your dealership and financed through Close Brothers Motor Finance. I experienced ongoing mechanical issues shortly after purchase, which required significant repairs and were never properly resolved.

Your response is inaccurate and deliberately dismissive.

The issues with the vehicle began shortly after purchase, not “years later” as you are trying to suggest. I returned to your dealership with a known timing chain issue and was told I would need to pay around £1,200 to have it repaired. This clearly shows the problem existed early on and was not something that developed randomly years later.

The fact that I did not reject the vehicle immediately does not mean the car was fault-free. It means I attempted to resolve the issue in good faith, including paying for repairs myself, which ultimately did not fix the underlying problem.

Your statement that “finance companies always take the customer’s side” is simply untrue and misleading. The outcome of a finance complaint depends on evidence, not assumptions.

Leaving a review now is entirely valid, as the situation has only recently concluded following the finance process and ongoing issues with the vehicle.

Attempting to dismiss a legitimate customer experience and suggest this is “frustration” is unprofessional and reflects poorly on your business.

I stand by my review and my experience.
It’s interesting to see how the focus has shifted.
First, the suggestion was that this review is not genuine. Now that it’s been confirmed I am a real customer, the argument has changed to “why after 3 years.”
Neither of these points address the actual issue.
The reality is simple: the vehicle had problems shortly after purchase, including a timing chain issue, and I was advised by your dealership that I would need to pay around £1,200 to repair it. That is not something that appears “out of nowhere” years later.
The timing of this review reflects when the situation was fully concluded through the finance process, not when the issues began.
Trying to discredit the review instead of addressing the facts only reinforces my original point about the experience.
For transparency, this situation took years to resolve and ultimately ended in a voluntary termination of the finance agreement.
Potential customers can decide for themselves whether this is the level of service they are comfortable with.
I stand by everything I have said.

Thank you for providing your car registration. As per our records, this car was sold in May 2023 at 78035 miles. And it was sold through Close Brothers Motor Finance.

Firstly, we fail to understand why you are leaving a review 3 years later? Did you just remember now that you had issues with a vehicle you purchased 3 years ago? How is that fair towards the dealer to be receiving reviews even 3 years later?

If there were “serious mechanical issues became apparent” “Shortly after purchasing the vehicle”, they would have been rectified and if we weren’t able to you would have been able to reject the vehicle according to your finance agreement terms and the finance company would have supported you with this. You clearly weren’t able to reject so clearly you had no grounds to reject on?

If there were faults at the point of sale, you would have been able to reject but you didn’t so they couldn’t have been there at the point of sale. You’re leaving a review 3 years later, how can we liable for this?

Finance companies ALWAYS take the customer’s side, so if in this situation they didn’t then clearly you were not right. If you have “PROOF OF EVERYTHING 👌” then why did your claim get rejected? This is because we sold a perfectly well car. Issues can occur at any time, we are not magicians who can foresee the future and can only cover you within the warranty period, not 3 years later as well.

Seems like, you may have had to spend a bit of money recently and found us as scapegoats to take out your frustration on.

I urge everyone to appreciate this review as completely unfair and based on a car that was sold years ago, how can we still be liable for anything.

Consumer rights
onsumer Rights Act, and how does it affect my vehicle purchase?

If you bought your car after 01 October 2015, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies. This means that, when you buy the vehicle, it has to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

Within the first 30 days, if there’s a problem that means your car doesn’t meet these standards, it develops a serious fault or you find that it isn’t what was advertised to you, you can raise this with the seller and ask for your money back. In this instance, you will be entitled to a full refund.

It is unfortunate it occurred when you had the vehicle but we cannot possibly foresee the future regardless of how much preparation we do to a vehicle.

We acted on this very quickly and got the car picked up from your home address to bring it back and get the issue rectified which you agreed on. The CRA 2015 says if there is a fault within the first 30 days then the consumer can reject the vehicle but can also give the dealer an opportunity to fix the fault which you did in this case. Therefore, it was a mutual decision between us, not a case where we kept the car and did not refund you as you claim on Trustpilot. We also gave you a courtesy car from Enterprise, which we paid for in full upon return of vehicle to Enterprise. We then offered it again as we required more time with the vehicle but you rejected this.

The reason why there was a delay in rectifying the fault was because it was a specialist job and it had to go into Land Rover Main Dealer which it did but naturally there was a delay in that as they are very busy. We have had cars there for weeks at times, therefore yours was not a one off case.

It came to a point where you did not want to wait any longer for the repair which is completely fair and wanted to practice your right to reject and we accepted that straight away. You then wanted your money the SAME second but we advised we could not do that because we need to wait for the spare key and paperwork to be posted back to us as per our company guidelines and you then continued to insinuate we are holding your money hostage. This was not the case because the day we received the spare key and paperwork we refunded the amount you were due within a few hours, if that. However, you decided to leave us untrue and unfair reviews on both Google and Trustpilot, which we feel are very one sided and tried to explain that we needed to wait for the spare key and paperwork in order to process the refund but you have made it seem like we were refusing to do a refund.

Trustworthy dealership with great customer care

I had a really good experience with ARJ Motors from start to finish. Everyone was very friendly, respectful and polite. I felt listened to and was given all the information I needed, all with lots of time and no pressure. The young man who went on a test drive with me was lovely and explained everything to me that I needed to know. The young woman who dealt with the paperwork was also extremely helpful and personable. I was impressed with how well the cars are looked after here compared with other dealerships I visited, and I felt there is a general atmosphere of care there. The car I chose had a very good track record, and I am very happy with my purchase.

After a test drive and very helpful staff I bought a car I absolutely love. Little to there knowledge my mrs is in the motor trade I took it for a full inspection and the car is 100% spot on emissions engine the lot would recommend anytime one happy Audi buyer.

Bmw m240i purchase

I travelled a long way to this dealership and it was all worthwhile, the staff are lovely and very welcoming. The car was washed and cleaned before I got there which is a nice addition. Would definitely recommend to everyone

Great Customer Service. 👍🏽

Overall experience was excellent. I spotted a car I liked, test drove it the next day, and bought it a couple of days later after a smooth part-ex at the same dealership. No hassle, just friendly customer service and genuinely nice people. Highly recommend — I’ll definitely be back. 🙂
