Why I gave it a four and not a five!
June 27, 2025 between 8:00am-12pm, Herb with Aptive got here he started to to place insecticide around the perimeter of home. Usually normal, but in my contract I explicitly had told the guy I didn't have trouble with ants or insects entering the home and I would pay only if they sprayed, baited or fogged the area that the ants were actually infesting. I thought he had written that down, now I'm not so sure. And that is the total area of my yard from fence to fence to road. In other words where there was actual ground and side-walk and driveway. The first two times they came I found out they only sprayed a three foot swath around the perimeter of the foundation. So the ants haven't lessened in those two times at all. The third time the third different applicator stated spraying around the perimeter again. That's why when I was looking for them, they were done in less than 5 minutes. I caught him about 2/3 done and explained to him what he was supposed to be doing and the new applicator without a qualm went to his vehicle a applied the right product. That is why I am giving them a four. Now I'll have to watch out for the fourth new applicator next time and hope he is going to do the right application. Might have to down grade review to a 1.

Friendly, Respectful and thorough

The technicians are friendly and respectful. They always ask if there is a certain area that needs extra attention. They take pictures as they do their treatment to show how they performed their tasks.

Great service

Aaron was very thorough. We discussed any issue we currently had, he outlined what he was going to do, and then he completed the service promptly.

The company makes it dificult on their…

The company makes it difficult on their techs by restricting what can be used. The product may require 4 bait traps per the manufacturer's guidance, but they are told they can only use one by their manager.

Employees are great

Employees are great. Texting when on their way. Always asking if we're having any problems. Always courteous and thorough in their applications. Taking pics of the application danger areas. Spider webs, etc.

Payment plan is not correct.
Called several times to review discrepancies, call disconnected, no call back 3 separate times. Had 2 separate treatments for ants, ants still a problem?
Aptives Customer service is unacceptable!

Never know what time they will be at…

Never know what time they will be at the house, so have to be home until they arrive. We have had so many ants that one spray has not taken care of it.

Ant Treatment is not effective

Ant treatments are not effective. We have been with Aptive for an entire year. Ant infestation is just as bad and in some areas worse than when we started treatment. We have had return treatments with little effect.

The tech gave me the details of what…

The tech gave me the details of what his plans were for this visit, and then asked if I needed any additional attention in other areas. I explained to him I did have other concerns taking place at the house and yard and he quickly told me he would take care of those too.
Then as he was packing up, I had remembered another issue and he said "no problem, he'll be happy to take care of it" and he did.
Very friendly and knowledgeable. Great to talk to and learn new things.

Cannot say I’ve ever been happy with work or performance experience. How can I recommend you when you can’t read numbers on side by side mail boxes and spray the neighbors house wrongly four times in three years. I’m more than done.

Over the past 18 months

Over the past 18 months, Aptive has provided excellent service. They are great at keeping me updated as to when they will arrive and what services will be performed. Very professional in every way.
