This company are scammers, masquerading as a legitimate business. Do not give them your details, because whether or not you are sent or access their publications, and whether or not you think they are any good, they will hound you for payment. Furthermore, they will send you the invoices through the post in envelopes that look like junk mail. I must have put several straight into recycling before I actually opened one. By then I owed them a fortune, for absolutely nothing! I agreed a final invoice, paid it (much against my better judgement) and then they chased me for more. When I responded saying that I had paid and did not owe the additional amount, they ignored my email for months and then sent my "debt" of £19.95 to a legitimate debt collection agency! They had already had a much larger chunk of my money for nothing. Whatever you do, do not give these people your details, because they will go all out to deprive you of your money in as underhand a way as is possible.

Very pushy salespeople who wont take no for an answer. You agree they can send some leaflets but ask them not to put you onto a monthly scheme/charge as your not interested.

Then they go away send you some bumff in the post and a week later an invoice. Do not use this company scammers

On the 25th of October I added my information (name,address an email) to a company named agora bussines as they were advertising FREE templates for risk assessment but you must provide that information.

On the 9th of December they emailed me informing my subscription has started and I should pay £49 per month for their services, immediately tried to access to a link they attach with the email but their website didn't work so, I emailed them about it, asking where when, how did i agreed to this, and to cancel anything to do with them,
Started getting invoices for a service i never agreed.

On the 11th of December they sent an invoice for £84.85 for January, February and March next year telling me to cancel the subscription I must pay this amount,Which is totally outrageous because I never asked for a subscription or signed a contract with them.
The same day I messaged this company again asking why I was charged for and the answer again was sending another invoice this time for £134.

Today 14th of December I got a letter from them demanding for £84.
I'm seriously concerned about this because I feel harassed for this company.
I never agreed anything with them, never provided them with bank details.
Can you advise me please what should I do?
I've been reading reviews of this company and it seems isn't just me who has been scammed.

WE have been using the Agora Business for a number of years now, the information received has helped us in our progress to improve in our SHE requirements.

Avoid Avoid. Invoiced me for a service i didn't want and now are threatening to send debt collectors round.

This company need seriously looking at by trading standards.
they fake details and then invoice for the privilege.
They tell you that you signed up to a free trial and are now invoicing because is was not cancelled, until this happened i had never even heard of them. DO NOT EVEN OPEN THERE WEB PAGE AS THEY CAPTURE THE DETAILS AND INVOICE YOU.

Horrible company.
Started getting invoices for a service i never agreed too, & by their own dated, subscription hadn't even started, i emailed them about it, asking where when, how did i agreed to this, & to cancel anything to do with them, but still getting threats by letter. Now saying its going to debt collector. Do i pay??????

Someone opened an account with old information- old address, old email account and wrong title. No idea how. The mind boggles. However I was billed. When Agora contacted me, rather than being supportive, it felt like I was attacked. As soon as I heard I closed the account and I have to pay for something I’ve never heard of. Just awful service. Cust number 84-655817-78

Had no idea I had subscribed to something until i was invoiced for £79. I used none of their services and didn’t open their emails because I thought they were scams. I did not get a confirmation email telling me I had subscribed to a 30day free trial.
Customer services did reduce the amount but I felt like I had been blackmailed!

Dreadful.
Free trial with access to awful documentation.
Toolkit is of no use.
Not worth the paper it is written on.

Classic online subscription but then cannot cancel and have to use Court action.

Will be reporting to Trading Standards.

Agora may have good service to those who willingly subscribe. Their main fault is forcing anyone who gives them a name to pay them. This isn't a good business model. I subscribed in error, cancelled, only to receive a publication. Then an invoice. Then I emailed and phoned and cancelled when they demanded £80 for next 3 publications. I complained and they asked for proof of cancellation. Emails show but now they have brought in a collector. This is a scam. That they serve willing customers well is no issue. The issue is their captive model. I proper scam.

i visited there website looking for intonation and read a online pdf that was of any use to me, you have to give them your address details and email for some reason i thought it was just for marketing purpose's and before you know it there was a bill of £89 on my door mat. i emailed them asking what it was for and they reduced it to £19..ive not paid it and im now getting debt recovery letters...im tempted to pay it just to stop them from giving me a bad credit score which in very proud of. but on the other hand i think of how many people they are doing this to..it is a scam and they seem to not care. im not going to pay it and ill be happy to go to court over it. i dont believe in paying for something and not getting anything in return.

I had VA carry out some work for me last year, they apparently signed up to Agora Business Publications without my knowledge and now I’m receiving DEBT collection letters from them. They can’t even find the account that apparently registered to my company. Have a bill for £309.43 for what!!!

I thought I was receiving free information, I was totally unaware that if I signed up for their magazine that I was subscribing to anything.

Then I received an invoice for £80, when I emailed back and said I hadn't subscribed they said I had to pay £40 for the information I had already received.

I can see that I am not the only person who has been caught out by this, I don't doubt that they provide a good service but the method they use to obtain subscribers is appalling!

We went on a free website to look for a template or so we thought. All of a sudden we received umpteen emails which we put into spam folder as they did not make sense. We then received 2 x INV in the post claiming for multiple subscription fees £569.20. I emailed on the 24.04.23 and stated we did not or want any of their services. I also called and voiced my dismay. Now 19.07.23 we receive another 2 x INV for in post stating we owe them £129.80. What a SCAM. The reviews online say it all. I will not be paying any INV's as i have not agreed to pay for any items. Who reads small T&C when browsing a so called free website even for a trial. NOT HAPPY

I have been invoiced for a service I didn't sign up to... they have my e-mail address correct but I have never used their service or confirmed my e-mail so assume someone else signed up but Agora went ahead with subscription without confirmation of my e-mail address.

I use Agora if I want to double check my interpretation of employment law, they have always provided information quickly to give me peace of mind that I'm on the right track.

Excellent publications, professionally written but easy to read. Very informative and the index allows access to previous copies and topics that you wish to look up

Plenty of good information, current legislation, very reliable

The online resource centre is easy to navigate and provides clear concise information. In addition the email updates provide timely reference to current topics.
