Since Windows Advisor merged with PC Knowledge, I feel I am no longer part of its target audience. On the plus side, the publication is regularly and reliably delivered, is clearly presented, and does occasionally contain some interesting and useful information, particularly when it points you to various online resources. On the other hand much of what it contains is not only too elementary for my needs but often seems quite dated. Apart from one recent article dedicated to it, Windows 11 is barely mentioned, for example, and some still articles focus unduly on Windows 7 & 8. The latest version of Microsoft Office mentioned seems to be Office 2019. I'm left with the impression that this magazine is now recycling a lot of old material and is aimed at relative novices.

I have left a 3 star review on the following basis.
Although I do agree with all the reviews and the unexpected bills being sent after numerous emails and letters that were either binned, or marked as junk as I treated the initial call as a sales cold call.
After a certain trial time, they automatically enter you into a subscription service and rely on you cancelling this in time to avoid further bills.
Like me and so many others, every correspondence was going in the bin and so they would not have cancelled the trial or subscription, like me. I had an invoice for risk assessment and compliance subscription of £134.85.

I called them today and Nick was very helpful, and understood my problem, I remained calm although frustrated with the situation. Nick agreed and basically cleared the account down and no money was owed.
Bit of a pian but a good result in the end.

Hi,I like many others have had the misfortune to come across Agora Business Publications email scam,I have been charged £60 for a stream of useless emails,when I contacted the company they reduced it to £30 but have now passed my "debt" on to CCSCOLLECT who are hounding me for a total of £62,they are as much to blame as Agora Business Publications as they should have researched this company before they took on their debts.
Trading standards are aware of them as are Citizens Advice,hopefully it is only a matter of time before they are closed down.

Scammers. My wife continues to receive threatening letters for services neither requested nor received. Watch out for the fake responses here. 'please send us your details so we can investigate ' Criminals is too nice a word..

I have received a letter from a dept collection agency asking for payment from this company l have never dealt with this company or have taken out any free trial this will be reported to trading standard for trying to con me out of money be very careful of these scammers

They have just called my company and asked the person who is dealing with Health and Safety. Got my information from reception to send me another scam invoice. This way they get people's information. They forgot that they have already sent it.

As most comments highlight, terrible quality downloads I would have been ashamed of drafting some of the content and unclear instructions on paid service going forward. Over 30 years in HSE Consultancy I have always been able to avoid such "less than honest" sites but cost me £19.95 to learn. Avoid.

Just a repeat of all that has been written before. They send invoices for services never requested to my home address using the wrong name, and claiming I'm a director of a business when I have no association. The debt collectors will be next. Never will I pay. Trustpilot reviews reveal the nature of this company

I am utterly disgusted by my experience with Agora Business Publications LLP. They have demonstrated a level of deceit and incompetence that is beyond comprehension. Let me walk you through the nightmare that has been my interaction with this fraudulent company.

First and foremost, Agora claims to have sent me a barrage of emails—17 to be exact—regarding their so-called services. However, I can only account for receiving 5 of these alleged emails.

What's more appalling is their underhanded tactic of luring unsuspecting individuals into subscribing to their worthless publications. They shamelessly use health and safety as a guise to peddle their subpar materials. The free publication I initially signed up for turned out to be nothing short of a joke. It provided zero value to my consulting business and left me feeling utterly disappointed and cheated.

To add insult to injury, Agora Business Publications LLP has resorted to outright harassment tactics. Despite my explicit disinterest in their services, they have been bombarding me with payment demands sent directly to my registered address. It's clear they have no qualms about resorting to intimidation to extort money from their victims.

In hindsight, I deeply regret ever having engaged with this despicable company. Had I taken the time to research their reputation beforehand, I would have quickly discovered the myriad of complaints and warnings about their dubious practices.

In conclusion, Agora Business Publications LLP is nothing more than a den of scammers preying on unsuspecting individuals under the guise of providing health and safety support. I urge anyone considering their services to steer clear and avoid falling victim to their deceitful tactics.

I have signed up a long time ago for a free trial and never went back. This is the best HR update that exists. Easy to understand language, all updates explained properly, a fantastic way to educate in the HR field (at a fraction of cost compared to other courses).

This is a scam. I have been invoiced and referred to a debt collection agency for a service I did not want or use.
I have spoken to trading standards and they have advised me and others in this situation to ask the debt collection agency for the signed agreement. They will not have one as we did not sign for this service.
I’d highly recommend reporting to trading standards if you find yourself in the same position as me.
I have paid the debt so this does not impact my credit score but now I will take this to court without any doubts

I subscribe monthly to PC Knowledge and almost always find something useful which I didn't previously know. As a "non techy", this is so valuable. The helpdesk for subscribers has got me out of a difficult spot more than once too.

Excellent professional service

Reluctantly giving them 1 star, which is not deserved but couldn't give zero. My experience mirrors exactly that of all the others giving one star. A scamming company asking me to pay money for a produce I have not signed up to or received.

Hounded to pay money, told them I had not requested or had services. Now with a debt collection agency, who incidentally I cannot speak to are threatening me with action!

I have asked to speak to a senior manager at Agora, no reply. I have requested the MD to contact me on Linkedin, I am not holding my breath.

Absolutely terrible service when trying to tell them I have not subscribed to their service, just stopped short of calling me a liar. I run a software company that has nothing to do with any of their publications so would not sign up to them.

Next step is to take the information to the Information Commissioners Office, Trading Standards, Fraud Department, Police and anyone else that will listen to me to see how we can stop organisations like this SCAMMING people.

Worst of the worst!

Like most people have already stated, scammers!!!!

They have been chasing me for a membership I never signed up to, and awful business, looking at their site it is a joke cheap and goes with their employees who have awful customer service.

I will be sure to pass on my experience to my HR Network.

I had a disappointing experience with Agora Business Publications LLP. Their website promises valuable information and documents that you can use, and advertises a one-month free trial. I signed up without providing any payment details—no credit card or direct debit—as I assumed that access would simply end after the trial if I did not confirm continuation.

Unfortunately, I was never able to access any of the promised resources. Instead, I was overwhelmed by a barrage of marketing emails. To make matters worse, I recently received an invoice for £79.00. When I contacted customer service to cancel everything and clarify that I had never agreed to continue the service or make any payments, they were unhelpful and still charged me £19.95 for services I never accessed.

My advice is to steer clear of this company and avoid any offers or free trials they provide. They seem to operate in a way that borders on scamming, legally speaking. I regret not checking reviews on Trust Pilot beforehand. Stay away from Agora Business Publications LLP.

I got sent a bill from these people that I had not even signed up for !!! I sent them an email explaining I had not signed up for this and they sent me another bill including a late payment cost !!!
