Active Windows initially replaced 5 windows in our house and we then asked them to replace the front and back doors. We are very happy with the quality of the windows and doors. Communication was good throughout the process and the surveyors and fitters were efficient and polite. We noted a small ussue with one of the windows not fitting the frame by a couple of millimetres on one side and Active Windows weee prompt in returning to look at this.

Active Windows are good quality at a fair price. The windows seem strong and look lovely. Very pleased. Good efficient service from friendly salesmen and fitters alike. Had my upstairs windows replaced a year ago and looking forward to them returning to do my downstairs windows and front door.

The firm was recommended by a friend, and we have been very happy with both the work and the price, with pleasant and hardworking staff. We needed scaffolding for our attic room and this was very discreetely done to safeguard our solar panels on the extension roof. Our 3rd fitting,in Jan 26, on the north facing side of house was on the coldest day of the winter, Dave and Jake worked in minus temperatures, superb workmanship in inclement conditions! Thank you.

Very Disappointing Quality and Service

We decided to purchase two doors from them: a patio door and a front door in sage green.

The main reason we agreed to replace our front door was because we specifically wanted a door that would lock securely once shut. Unfortunately, after waiting several months for the installation, we discovered that the new door would not lock when closed from the outside.

That wasn't the only problem. The front door would not close properly and would even reopen in the wind. Some parts were missing and had to be sourced later, and the handle was loose and shaky. The patio door has issues too, with the rubber seal falling off almost immediately and refusing to stay in place, making the door difficult to lock.

Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience. Considering the significant amount we paid for the doors, I feel the cost was absolutely not justified by the quality of the products. The service could also be improved, particularly when it comes to communication and responding to issues in a timely manner. This has been going on since April so over 4 months now.

What made the whole experience even more disappointing was that, despite these issues still not being properly resolved, they came to our house to take photographs of the doors to use for future sales and to attract more customers. It was extremely frustrating to see our doors being used as an example to potential customers when we were still dealing with unresolved problems ourselves.

We expected much better quality, installation and after-sales service for the price we paid. Unfortunately, we are extremely disappointed with the overall experience and would not expect this level of quality from a company charging such a significant amount.

Your agents have always been very polite and not pushy, leaving us to make up our own minds without any pressure. We’ve had companies that won’t take no for an answer, leaving us to cancel the moment they leave.

We had our sofits and guttering done. Really pleased with them thank you. Staff extremely helpful and friendly and told me about some extra bit that woukd need doing but no pushyness to get it done just honest advice

We have just had our new door fitted , couldn’t be happier. Friendly professional fitter leaving a clean tidy finish . We were able to customise our door and with top of the range locking mechanisms.
Definitely will give them more work in the future.

Absolutely love our new doors and windows. Ian, our salesperson, was really knowledgeable and patient as we went through all of our options, and Dave and Luke who did the installation were professional, efficient and clearly take pride in their work. Everything looks fantastic! We would definitely use Active Windows again.

Active Windows replaced a very large window upstairs. To be honest I was a little worried but I'm pleased to say I shouldn't have been. My only little problem was contacting them for an installation date. Two fitters, lovely guys arrived on time and completed the window within 2 hours, they were both friendly and cleaned up any mess and replaced my window to a very high standard. My hobby takes up a huge space in the room and is fragile, they respected my property and made sure it was all safe. I'm a very happy customer and highly recommend Active Windows. Don't hesitate to contact them if you need replacement Windows. *****.

Awful customer service, I have no trust in this company! They made a mistake and ordered the wrong door and communication was terrible, every time I called they said they would "call me back in 20 minutes" first time a week went by with no update, the second time I waited 6 hours and had to follow up again and same thing happened a third time. They kept saying we would receive emails with confirmation and never received any. Even though they knew they had made a mistake ordering the wrong door after chasing 3 times they had still not ordered the replacement. We decided to cancel our order didn't want to get messed around anymore, we weren't comfortable they would actually deliver after getting told it's going to be another 6 weeks, lost our £600 deposit - don't waste your time!

Delighted with our 7 new windows. Phil was friendly, professional and very tidy throughout, and Jacob was patient and really helpful through the sales process. The windows are great quality and look fantastic - excellent job all round. We'll definitely be using them again for fascia/cladding work.

We have just had 10 windows and 2 doors fitted by Active Windows and we are very pleased with the result.
Firstly Phil the surveyor was very helpful and friendly, but especially Dave the fitter who did an excellent job, was hard working whilst caring about fine details and working methodically and tidily. We would highly recommend him to anyone.

You saved us after a traumatic experience involving another company and your genuine willingness to make us feel reassured and safe in your hands has been outstanding . They are also great for any follow up questions or advice before and after the works are done. Highly recommend and will be using in the future as well.

A business has a chance to show its mettle when things do not go as expected, and Active Windows did just that. Longer story short, I had to cancel my order and Active Windows refunded my deposit quickly and with no fuss. It was much appreciated.
