I had a stairlift installed for my elderly mother. From start to finish, we could not have asked for a more professional and polished service. These guys care deeply about their customers and they are passionate about their products. My mum is beyond happy with the result as she dreaded the idea of being forced to leave a home she has loved for years. Thanks to Acorn, she can enjoy her home for many more years to come. No issues with our dealings with Accorn at all , my initial inquiry by e mail was responded to by Joclyn with in 1/2 hr , she was amazing , from there they arranged to have the sales guy view the site and advise, from there the installation was done again by a quick job done and he was equally obliging .

From the first point of contact they were brilliant Helpful,polite,and understood our needs,they performed well all through the purchase I am 92 and wife 88 and at no stage from deposit to fitout did we have any concerns an exceptionally well run business

Acorn - and especially their technician, Greg King, have made a huge, welcome difference in our life. Despite Greg's impossibly busy schedule, Acorn's amazing team were able to organise installation within a very few days, rather than weeks. From inquiry to installation, everything was perfect and professional. We can't thank you all enough.

You met & exceeded our expectations. When we needed to have the lift installed mor urgently you were very responsive.
Our only problem is that the seat doesn’t remain in the upright position when it’s stored.

The company were very easy to deal with, with prompt service in both installation and removal. The reason for the 2 star rating is that they have a business model that ignores the need for global sustainability. We needed a stair lift for short term use for a terminally ill family member. We understood that Acorn only install new stair lifts. We now have an unused stair lift with no ability to have the reusable parts returned to the company (chair, motor, rail rests etc) for reuse. In the current climate this is not a good reflection on Acorn who are not accepting responsibility for their product in a world that needs to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Acorn customer service is excellent unlike their two main competitors who didn't even bother to respond to my attempts to contact them. We thought the installation of the curved rail chairlift was first class and it meets all our expectations in operation. Initially Acorns recommendation was that we have a straight rail chairlift because this would have been cheaper and it was only after I realised that the parked chair would create a significant obstacle for people using the stairs that we changed. I felt that Acorns rep should have pointed this out to me rather than me fortunately coming to the realisation just before we committed. The space it takes up at floor level is not a problem, it is the space at shoulder level that really matters.

The team at Acorn Stairlifts are amazing. They are friendly, informative and will bend over backwards to help you, even after you've had it installed! I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a stairlift.

Enquired online with Acorn on Anniversary weekend, along with another chairlift company. Acorn made contact within 3 days (still waiting to hear from the other company, even now 4 months later), had a visit from an Acorn representative to give us a quote a week later and installed about three weeks after that. This has been a fantastic service and has given my husband much more independence after him having had an accident at Xmas time. Great service and great communication and would absolutely recommend.

Josh Martin did a great installation! On time, professional, friendly and helpful.
The stairlift itself did not quite meet expectations however. The upper docking spot is too close to the stairs for comfort, especially when backing up a walker to make the transition. We also were led to believe that we could make a stop at a intermediate level for a bathroom visit, but the lift is FAR to high at that point to transition to the floor. And, when we called about possible adjustments we started to get the runaround. So, great install experience, not so great on service, so far.

I contacted Acorn Stairlifts after it became obvious that my wife was struggling to climb the flight of stairs to the living area after being out of the house.
My wife and I are so grateful that we took the step with Acorn.
The whole process from initial contact to a fully installed working lift was so brilliantly stress free and easy with everybody involved, nothing was too much trouble.
The installation was also able to be brought forward and was completed the week before Christmas.
The knowledge for my wife that she no longer had to drag herself up step by step after an appointment or medical procedure has made a huge difference.
The installation was lovely to watch with the detail and care taken a true professional operation.
Many thanks team, you have added another dimension to what was turning out to be a huge limitation to daily life.

great response from the ist phone call the whole team from acorn could not be more helpfull the install tec arrived on time 3 hours later all done I would recommend them to anyone this install is for later on as we dont need to use it yet but it works well

We were very pleased with the installation of the stairlift. It was done promptly and completed in half a day.
The chair is easy to use and seems to cover all eventualities.
One of the remote controls does not work as well as the other for some reason.
It is a nuisance that the chair almost comes to a stop each time it approaches and leaves a corner, making it a very slow journey.
It has proved very useful on the whole and we very pleased to have it.
