From the site inspection to the installation, the whole process was clear and well communicated. Both the site inspector and the installation man, Junior, where great. Pleasure to have them at our property. Jocelyn, in the office team, was very helpful and communicated well

Acorn met all the promised deadlines with no concerns. The installation was as discussed and full instructions on the use of the lift were provided. The installer was courteous, tidy and professional. Overall we are very satisfied and would highly recommend Acorn.

After seeing different companies websites offering chairlifts in NZ we contacted Acorn and met Brett the installer to come to our house and learn more, after which we decided to go ahead. Brett installed an ran through every aspect of the chairlift and it was done in one day.
Everything was as stated and we were very happy with Acorn and it's staff. After a couple of weeks the foot platform stopped operating. We were still able to use the lift and notified Acorn of the problem. Ot took a few days until Brett was able to come and fix it. Everything is operating perfectly again. I would recommend Acorn and Brett and Jocyln were great.

The stairlift performed exactly how I needed it to.
One thing I will say is that the rep assured me that there was enough room for a charging station at the foot of the stairs, but the technician who installed it could not make that fit and had to put the charging station halfway back up the stairs which I send the lift to by remote. A small thing I know but it is inconvenient for the cleaners and anyone who is not skinny, for example the Ambulance guy who had to go up to collect a bag I had packed. I had managed to come down but couldn't carry the bag.
I am currently in hospital permanently on oxygen and may not be going back to my home

The installation went very smoothly, and we are delighted with the completed appearance.

Acorn replied to our enquiry promptly, the rep measured and gave us a quote the same week,we accepted the quote a couple of weeks later and the lift was installed about 4 days later.
Installation was completed swiftly and cleanly, very good service!

Had been researching what could assist my 30+ kg Gurl dog up the 63 steps I was carrying her up since we returned to our home in Plimmerton.

Luke came out and I signed on the day. Custom parts from the UK arrived well ahead of time and the chairlift installed over two days and before Easter!

I contacted Acorn Stairlifts recently to look at the possibility of installing a stairlift at our parents house. At the time there was some urgency to scoping the project and having pricing done. My communications with the staff at Acorn were always prompt and helpful.
Although the install is on hold at present when the time arrives everything is in place and ready to roll.
I would recommend this company without hesitation.

Being aged nearer to 90 than 80 with various age related problems our future in our home with 16 steps was becoming uncertain. After spending quite a bit of time searching the Internet we contacted Acorn.
Resulting from this inquiry we were visited by the South Island representative to discuss the situation.
Brett is a top man who very quickly assessed the situation and worked out a cost for an Acorn 130 straight Stair Lift. After accepting the quote and paying the deposit Brett returned about ten days later and in less than four hours the Stair Lift was installed, all signs of work cleaned up and we received first class instructions on using the machine.
We are now firmly settled in this home and are enjoying the ups and downs of life! Our family are pleased not to be worrying about finding one or other of us in a crumpled heap at the foot of the stairs.

Brett, the installer, made the installation a great experience. He worked non stop for 9 hours to complete the installation. No hasles, Brett left the completed job perfectly clean and gave me a full and practical knowledge of the workings of the stair lift. Great to use and certainly less strain on the arthritic knee.

Their prompt reply to my Email was the reason I selected Acorn With only a week just before ChristmasI I decided on the Acorn chaitrlift and they completed the Chairlift installation on Christmas Eve
They took time to explain how everything worked and made sure that I was happy with the whole installation.

Great service from ordering till final run through demonstration. The install was done on time, in a truely professional manner by a very competent installer.

They were easy to deal with. Prompt and both the rep and the installation technician were great.

We have to commend the team from Acorn, not only the excellent front of house/ reception team and the guys that do the measuring up and installing, but also the accounts team who were very transparent about the quote and final invoice.

Because we were uncertain as to the property my parents were going to buy, there was quite a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, with the team doing measure ups on two properties. Throughout the process, they were helpful and well able to respond to all our queries. My parents felt well informed and the installation has been a lifesaver for them. Very soon after the installation, my mother broke her hip and, had we not had the stair lift, I am not sure how they could’ve remained in this new property. We cannot thank them enough.
