I cannot rate AB Walker Caversham high enough. 5 star is an under rating!
From the 1st call, to say Jenny had passed, I spoke to a real person, I think his name was David. Totally throw me, when he answered after just 2 or 3 rings. No pressing this button for what ever or leaving messages on voicemails!
He was very professional when he & his colleague came to take Jenny. They made a very emotional time, a little bit easier.
The 2 ladies in the Caversham office, Melanie & Louise, were brilliant. Really helped me through the whole process. Even doing a couple of things for me, that I wasn't up to doing.
Nothing seemed to much trouble for them. Even letting me sit in the front office a few times, just talking with them, about Jenny. They gave me the time & helped me & our children, when we went to view Jenny a couple of times. They made me feel I could have stayed there all day/night if I wanted.
David & his team were great at the cemetery. Helping guide us through the whole process, to Jenny's final resting place.
I have left instructions with my children to use the same office when it's my time to join Jenny.

From the first contact with AB Walker to the day itself I felt supported and knew I could contact them if I had any questions and they always replied promptly. This gave me great comfort at a very difficult and upsetting time in my life.

Heidi who I dealt with had a compassionate, kind, helpful and professional approach. I would also like to give a special mention to Susie Mitchell, the Celebrant , who provided invaluable help when getting together the order of service for my husband’s funeral and conducted the service in a warm and deeply personal way.

Could not have asked for a more sensitive and supportive experience during our bereavement. Caring, professional and transparent. Clare was very helpful and so easy to work with. The team who collected our loved one were wonderful. The lady on reception was warm and friendly. The team on the day of the funeral were superb. Highly recommend this exceptional service.

We were meet with kindness and gentleness and understanding when we went to sort out funeral arrangements for my mum
Bev sorted out everything for me and phoned often to check on how we were doing
On the day of the funeral the men respected my family’s idea of being all 6 pallbearers and walked alongside them on the way in to the crematorium just in case of any difficulties.

The staff were kind and respectful. Rita wanted a very low key funeral service, with no fuss.
The team helped deliver that 100%.

From start to finish your staff were incredible - from Clare (our designated contact) to the funeral staff who took my sister to the crematorium and James for his professionalism of the occasion. It made, what was a very emotional time, easier for everyone as all the procedures were in place and done with great reverence and dignity.
