The funeral went smoothly with everything we wanted so happy, no complaints.

Office staff were organised, respectful, flexible and knowledgeable about the process and who to contact. The funeral conductor and his team were also first-class, confirming timings before the day, and then on the day gently moving things along and asking all the right questions at the right time in the right way.

We used Walkers for my late Mum’s funeral. Right from my first phone call to them, they were very helpful and reassuring. The first person we met was Katy at the Woodley office. She was very kind and caring the communication by her was excellent, informing and guiding us every step of the way. On the day nothing was too much trouble for David, our conductor, talking us through what would be happening. Chris Brown, the humanist, did a great job talking about my Mum as if he knew her personally. We, as a family, felt it was a wonderful send off for my Mum. Would definitely recommend Walkers.

AB Walker were amazing whilst I was planning the funeral of my dear friend. From the moment I walked into their office to the burial it self. Every care and dignity were shown to me and to my late friend.

When we lost our mum in July 2025 fran at the Tilehurst branch made it so much more manageable and easier to deal with. She was amazing with both me and my brothers was with us every step of the way and guided us through the tough time.

What can I say. Jordan was absolutely outstanding. She organised everything for us because we live in Ireland. She handled everything with the upmost care and efficiency. She kept us informed at every stage. She is a star. AB Walker are very lucky to have her.

I had to deal with death of my husband in the summer of 2025 and I chose AB Walker because as a family we had used them for my parents.
From the time they picked up my husband from home, nothing was too much trouble, no question too mundane and no matter how busy, they always found time for me.
Anna guided us through all the details we needed to know, the thing AB Walker could do for us and the things we had to do had clear deadlines so there was no mix up.
Even the drivers of the hearse allowed us to touch and see the coffin before we left home, our car driver was happy to engage in conversation and they were all so kind to us, especially as there were children under 10 attending the funeral.

For their attention to details, their kindness and graciousness I would absolutely always recommend them every time.

Jess was absolutely amazing when dealing with her regarding my father. After her initial call and contact she was empathetic and informative, in the end the family made a decision to take a different route - not due to the funeral directors performance at all - and they were supportive and continually informative. When calling and speaking to different members of staff it was exactly the same response. Simply superb service.

Emily and Jordan were just exceptional with their help and compassion looking after the family when I lost my Mum.
