Excellent and local!

We went into our local store and found the assistant to be knowledgeable, charming and comforting. Furthermore, we were delighted to discover that we did not need to pay VAT on the purchase!

Nick was very helpful

Nick was very helpful, he listened to what was required, he assisted and guided in the testing of the equipment and was very patient..He wasn't at all pushy but gave all the necessary facts..All in all Dad was very happy with the experience and, with his purchase..Thank you..

Great friendly service

Very happy with helpful and friendly service at Ableworld Wigan store . Nothing too much trouble and plenty of good honest opinion re best / most suitable products for our needs .

Sold my Dad a mobility scooter at…

Sold my Dad a mobility scooter at £2000, he only uses it in the house and that is just to go to the bathroom or bed. Still under warranty, multiple issues with it, latest being the handle part sheered off, they say it isnt covered and want £500 to fix it.
Absolutely disgusted how disabled people are totally ripped off. Had someone look at the scooter and was told the metal was inadequate, they take your money but really dont care when there is a fault. This was my dad's lifeline now we are in dire need of help as do not have that money again

Mobility Scooter ( Sapphire 2)

My health had deteriorated which affected my mobility inside and outside my home. Buying mobility aids was a new experience for me. Staff were informative , put me at ease and gave me opportunity to try before I brought it. I had opportunity to try different scooters inside the shop and outside. There was no pressure to buy. I had time to think about it and come back another day. I would defiantly recommend to others.

Excellent service and customer care

We needed a stairlift installed very quickly and AbleWorld in Woolston Southampton came up trumps. I phoned with my enquiry on a Wednesday, their consultant Jeff came on Thursday to discuss options and measure up and it was ably fitted on Friday by Slavic. We were so pleased with the service.
The following week we were let down by the ambulance transport service who were booked for a very important post operative hospital appointment. So another call to AbleWorld and they arrived within the hour with a suitable wheelchair which was professionally demonstrated by Megan. Everyone at the branch were first class and we cannot thank them enough for their kind and helpful service and support.

Very helpful

Recommend this friendly store

Made perfectly welcome by Peter and Julie at Wigan store . Took time to explain pros and cons of different scooters, made sure it fitted my car and was perfect for me. Couldn’t fault the service and will make this place my first stop for any other needs I may have

Richard at Penarth (Cardiff) helped my…

Richard at Penarth (Cardiff) helped my friend and I choose a mobility scooter for me. I was reluctant to get one as I didn’t want to give in to not being able to walk far. But Richard - and his colleague Shaun- were so very helpful, patient and kind to two elderly women.
They explained everything and pointed out advantages and disadvantages and knew everything we needed to know and the best scooter to get for my needs - mainly to be able to fold it up and put in in the boot of a car.
I have never written a review before but these gentlemen were efficient, respectful, knowledgeable and very patient and we appreciated that very much. Thank you Richard and Shaun

Newport Shropshire

I visited the shop in Newport (Shropshire) last Saturday 20th June along with a friend who was looking for a new road scooter. We were attended to by Lindsay and Lisa who literally could not have been more helpful.
The two ladies were very helpful and despite the scorching weather, they brought a number of scooters from the store, set up a small manoeuvring course and allowed us to test drive the ones we liked. Their product knowledge was excellent and answered all my questions fully. In the end, I realised that my old scooter (over 5 years old), had been superceded by a number of more comfortable and more manoeuvrable options and I decided to upgrade.
In conclusion, can you please pass on my congratulations to the team at the Newport store, their humour and customer support were a credit to the company! Well done!!

Disappointing

Visited Ableworld Wavertree on Saturday with my 90‑year‑old mother and had a very disappointing experience. We were not welcomed on arrival and only located the one female staff member by calling out. Although we made it clear several times that we were looking to buy a scooter that day, the staff member appeared disinterested throughout.

When we asked questions, she responded with a permanently bemused expression that made both of us uncomfortable. Despite demonstrating a couple of models, she showed no enthusiasm or willingness to help us find the right scooter.

After leaving the store to research online, I returned having found a model she had not shown us. When I asked why, I was abruptly told it was sold. I explained that I could have ordered another one, and she reluctantly agreed to show it to us, repeating several times that it would be a month’s wait.

My mother asked if she could have a very short test drive of just a few feet, and was abruptly refused. While I understand a sold item cannot be used, the manner in which we were spoken to was unnecessarily sharp.

In my opinion, this staff member is not suited to dealing with elderly or vulnerable customers. We left feeling unwelcome and dismissed.

We then drove to Care & Co in Warrington, where the experience was completely different — friendly, helpful, and respectful. Within half an hour we purchased a £2,000 scooter.

I felt compelled to leave this review because Ableworld Wavertree lost a sale today, and more importantly, made my elderly mother feel uncomfortable. I hope this feedback is taken seriously.

Great team

Went into the Bridgend store where I was met by Adam and James. Great guys, approachable and easy to talk to. No pressure sales, I knew roughly what I wanted and came away with a purchase for a pavement scooter, the Apollo Life Boot Scooter.

Went to ableworld wigan today too see about an electric scooter bought the vie boot scooter Pete the server couldn't of been more helpful explained everything perfectly showed us how to brake it down to go into the boot, how to use the controls very impressed on his knowledge of the machine would recommend this place to anyone who needs any help

The kindness and patience of the staff…

The kindness and patience of the staff particularly William and Gerald. For William nothing was too much trouble. The mobility scooter I wanted to buy was sadly too big for my boot(tried it wouldn’t fit in) so we looked at and tried various other models and eventually found one that fitted perfectly and was cheaper! I think another sales person would have just given up on me but not William he was determined to find me a scooter that met my requirements and fitted in the boot. He showed us how to assemble and disassemble the scooter several times. All in all a very good experience 10/10 for Ableworld Colchester and a free seat bag as well.

These people claimed to be mobility…

These people claimed to be mobility specialist, but they know nothing about Wheelchair’s lightweight wheelchairs.

I took my 2 24 inch wheels in to have two tyres which I paid for online through another company I asked them if they could fit my two tires and one in a tube they only put one tire and tube on one wheel as I buggered the other wheel up so they gave me one wheel with a tire on and one without also with no tube they charge me £40 !!
Even though I paid for the tyres and the tube myself shameful!

If could mark zero i would

If could mark zero i would. Purchased a scooter from Ableworld Burton upon Trent n was advised being live on a hill the scooter would be adequate, however it constsntly brraks down whether hill or not. Customer service diabolical n engineer overseeing reepairs very insulting. Emails telling me not to use the scooter on hill yet thats where i live n yet why you sold me a scooter.....absolutely diabolical service n attitude. AVOID like the plague once they have your money they care not, all false promises. writing on behalf of a 81 yr old who sadly had another seizer due to this awfull company....
UPDATE.....ONLY BECAUSE POSTED ON HERE HAVE ABLEWORLD EVPRESSED ANY EMOTIONS REG THE CUSTOMER WHO HAS HAD SEIZURES BROUGHT ON BY THIS COMPANY....SAYS A LOT! JUST PAY HER MONEY BACK.....BUT YOU WONT WILL YOU!!. Awful .

Great service from Mark at Ableworld in Liverpool

Mark at Ableworld in Liverpool was really helpful in helping us find the right wheelchair for my daughter who is suffering with endometriosis. It was great to have the face to face advice and then have the wheelchair delivered direct to our door. When we had a problem with the chair a few weeks later Mark was on hand in the shop to help resolve the issue. It really is a top class service
