I continue to be disappointed by the lack of attention to detail.

The occupancy form incorrectly identified the occupier who is not the legal owner, meaning the wrong person was asked to sign the declaration. The borrowers' names also had to be corrected to match the legal names in the mortgage offer.

Both pieces of information should have been verified against the Land Registry title and the mortgage offer before the documents were issued. Instead, I had to identify and correct the mistakes myself.

Errors like these should not appear in any legal documents prepared by a qualified professional firm. There is a real concern on this firm's quality control.

A strange new portal experience for me, but it worked very well and everything went smoothly.

Once you get used to the idea of doing this on line then it was pretty painless and actually far easier than expected. A few queries just meant i gave them a call and it was easily explained .

Portal for tracking progress is really good and easy to navigate

So, so. Tick-box automation is difficult to negotiate and the Summary Page often shows something as outstanding, when, drill down and there is nothing for me to do. Software needs checking.

Swift efficient remortgage from Halifax to Barclays. We allowed about 6 weeks on advice from our broker which seemed just right. Online Portal is great, very well laid out and easy to use. Completion arranged for next working day after our fixed rate ended. Would deffo recommend- don’t be afraid to switch lenders if Optima are the appointed legal team. Thanks for a smooth and efficient service.

pretty easy. most things work well through their portal. I had a couple of documents that wouldn't upload there but the staff are responsive to email and sorted that out quickly. They give good advice about what's next on common things to update.

Absolutely heartbroken from Optimas horrendous treatment.

It's taken me 24 hrs to calm down!!
We have been waiting a couple of weeks for our solicitors to be able to draw down for our remortgage, we have been set and ready to exchange and complete on the sale of our house. To be able to do this we had a short fall that needed to be covered. So we decided to remortgage our bingalow to be able to cover the short fall. after going through all of the messing with an online supposed easier way of contacting them on their app (what a load of crap!! If your not aaking a question that they have stipulated you cant get an answer!) And as for their call service once you have found the phone no they are like bloody robots! For goodness sake dont ask a question outside the box as their scripted replys are infuriatingly! So you cant have your remortgage money until you sell your house, OK but we are borrowing the money for the shortfall, well untill you sell the house you cant have the money.
Well thank you very much Optima you have lost us our sale due to your absolute incompetent behaviour. We are now in financial difficulty all because we didn't tick your boxes!! You as a service provider are useless, disrespect of peoples needs and treat us all as a number with not an ounce of care or companion to how you effect people's lives.
Stear well clear of these cowboys!!
If your dealing with Barclays please ask to use your own solicitors, I hope this can offer better results for those moving forward.

Used their services for a remortgage. All done online through their website which is clear and easy to use for uploading or reading documents and checking overall progress. The work was undertaken quickly.
