Dripping overflow pipe.

I explained to the plumber that the overflow pipe from the tank in the loft was dripping at random times. He asked me if it was connected to the central heating coming on. I said not. It was a completely ad hoc occurance.
He went into the loft and inspected both the cold water and the central heating expansion tanks. He discovered the cover for the cold water tank had moved, it had possibly been touching the arm of the valve. He said the valve was fine and did not need replacing.
The overflow pipe has since continued to drip on occasion. I am not convinced the problem has been solved. I am going to monitor it for a while before contacting Homeserve again.

Always 5 star delivery.

I have had the same delivery person for many years. She is always friendly, on time and if I’m out leaves my parcels in my safe place.

Recommended by my sister. …

I recently noticed that my sister’s teeth seemed beautifully white and asked her what she had used. She told me the 35% whitening gel from Opalescence. I went online and was very pleased to see that it was on offer. I am using the gel on alternative days and am very pleased with the progress so far. I intend to carry on for a little while longer to get my teeth as white as my sisters.

Disappointing after sales service

My parents bought a stairlift for £4700 in March 2021 for my father to use . He passed away 5 months later, Handicare uninstalled it and it was placed covered in an integral garage.
My mother now has the need of this stairlift. On contacting Handicare for them reinstall it, I was very disappointed to discover this is not a service that they offer. They will uninstall and reinstall a stairlift for a change of carpet but nothing else.
They explained that they did not know what had happened to the stairlift whilst being stored. I would have been more than happy to pay for it to be reinstalled, serviced and any spare parts that might have been needed. (They are still available). There is no local Handicare agent that can assist me.
Events like this only add to the stress of caring for my mother who has poor mobility, dementia and is recovering from pneumonia.
EDIT.07/03/25 After being told by Handicare there is no local agent to assist me I have discovered by doing my own research that there is. MK STAIRLIFTS. The person I spoke to there was annoyed that I had been given incorrect information by Handicare.

Sylish Cardigan/jacket

I originally saw this Chanel style cardigan/jacket on a Facebook advert.
I noticed the appealing colours. When it arrived the garment was very soft to the touch. I tried it on and it was true to size. It looked attractive on and I therefore decided to keep it .

Recommended Company

During my annual visit to my usual optician I asked for a quote for them to reglaze a pair of designer glasses that I had from a couple of years ago.The quote was the same as for a complete new pair of designer glasses.
I did some research online. Lensology (ReglazeMyGlasses) had the best reviews and had competitive pricing. I decided to use them. My order was processed very quickly. I paid them on the Monday and I received my reglazed glasses back on the Saturday. I have a complex prescription, I can see very well out of the new lenses which are top quality. I received a free upgrade of lenses plus a free fast track order. The total price was less than I estimated, some £250 cheaper than my usual opticians quote. This company is very efficient in my opinion.

Not as pictured.

I was rather disappointed when I received the jumper that I ordered. On the model it came a little below her hips. However the one I received was more like a knitted tunic as it came just a few inches above my knees (I'm 5'4"). The sleeves were very long too.

Overall good. …

I ordered a number of items for the summer. A little disappointed that one of the tops had a faulty neck line in that the stitching was coming undone. However overall I was pleased with my purchases.
