Magnificent

Glenn, Ollie and Paul were magnificent with a recent house clear for my mother and father, following Dad moving into a care home and their house being sold to allow her to move into a flat close to Dad.

They did three days in all, one months earlier to clear stuff in readiness for the agents’ photos of the house and then a huge clear of practically everything in the four bed house over two days which included them moving furniture to my house where Mum is living pending her flat being ready for her to move into.

Mum wants Glenn, Ollie and Paul to know that they are angels and I would second this. They are charming, friendly and so accommodating that they even helped me get rid of a heavy piece of old falling apart furniture in my own home. I cannot praise or recommend them highly enough. I have already recommended them locally and my friend and her sister used them for the clear out of their late parents’ home.

If you are facing a situation where circumstances have changed and you need or want to move, but are overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of the task at hand, call them for a quote. Perhaps you are very good at finding buyers for things you no longer want, but we weren’t and there was a lot that charity shops can’t take or don’t want. Glenn, Ollie and Paul take everything and then leave the house vacuumed and ready for the new owners to move in. They made our lives so much easier at an emotional and difficult time in all our lives. Thank you.

Shout out to Matt for being brilliant

We needed work doing to our 2019 VW California. Service, MOT, an info screen that had failed, a new windscreen following a chip on the motorway, door hinge replacement, kitchen door replacement, full check on campervan elements - the works.

Matt Macdonald was absolutely fantastic. The info screen required replacement and it wasn’t necessarily covered under the ongoing warranty policy we had, but Matt fought on our behalf and the warranty company eventually agreed to replace it. Everything else was sorted out for a reasonable price and the campervan sailed through its MOT and came back sparkling inside and out.

All of the people we deal with are great, but Matt is exceptional. He cares.

Slough branch is absolutely fantastic - shout out to Paul Duncan

I bought my special edition new reg car, sight unseen, from Thames Motor Group, Slough and at every step they were exemplary. My initial enquiry was Wednesday and the car was delivered to my home before 10am today, Saturday.

My salesman was Paul Duncan. You could not find a warmer, more helpful salesperson. He took multiple videos, let me know exactly what would happen and when and was an honest and easy person to deal with.

I was offered a fair price for my existing car as trade in (better than WeBuyAnyCar with no need for an inspection beyond photos or any attempt to reduce the price offered). The new car was also offered with a decent discount. This is the best car buying experience I have ever had and I have bought and sold a number of cars including several other brand new vehicles.

Whilst Paul was brilliant, he isn't the only person I want to praise. The phones were always answered immediately and everyone I spoke to was polite, professional and friendly. Messages were always passed on. Scott, our delivery driver, was charming. My impression is that everyone I spoke to is proud and happy to be working for this company. I recommend them without hesitation and if you are lucky enough to deal with Paul, you are in safe hands. Paul, if you are reading this, I love love love the new car.

Brilliant staff will help with everything

My partner and I have taken up in-line skating again in our 40s. Gaston (and colleagues) were happy to answer all our questions over the phone and then allow us to collect the skates from their (currently closed) store in Eastbourne. We tried everything on and swapped out kit that wasn’t quite right for kit that was perfect. I cannot overstate how helpful the staff were. They spent time and energy making sure we bought exactly what we needed. They really care and it shows. Speak to them over the phone first, order but collect from their Eastbourne shop so that you can see them in person to get fitted up properly and ensure the sizing you ordered is correct. Recommend 100%.

Avoid Avro at all costs

Avro are the supplier of the house I moved into. They insist that I open an account with them to pay what is owing before I can transfer. I have tried to do this, however their phone line is for emergencies only owing to covid (not that they answer it anyway) their live chat is permanently unavailable and they do not respond to emails. They do respond to another provider trying to take over when I instigated a switch - by blocking them. I have no means of communicating with them and they have left me in limbo, presumably on the highest tariff they have. Avoid at all costs.
