Monitoring of advisory comment made on MOT pass certificate

On 25.11,25, the date when my car passed it's MOT, I arranged to take it in again on 13.1.26 for an investigation of an advisory - Oil leak but not excessive in front lower engine.
The investigation lasted about 2 and a half hours and included a road test drive. The advice given - which I accepted - was to return for another check in April/May.
My only comment relates to the customer service agents I saw. I spoke to 2 different agents. The second one (see next paragraph below marked *) who finalised my paper work wasn't as experienced as the first one. He needed support from another (3rd agent) to help me understand fully the options available to me.
* the second agent had moved from working in the car shop to his new role within the last 6 months.
I prefer, and have greater confidence in the garages customer service if it enables me to see only 1 agent during the full duration of my wait.

Brilliant customer service

I phoned Davies Group at 11,25 today to resolve a query I had about an offer made for a replacement cooker in an earlier call at 9.40. After researching that offer on the internet, I realised that the item offered ignored my request for a cooker with a white top. From the moment, I started talking to Carrie she put me at ease and we arrived at an alternative solution by 11.45. The phone call was interrupted because of a technical difficulty in trying to arrange payment. The problem was overcome and payment was made before 11.50. Everything was finalised with your group by a final email sent at 12.01

Problems of managing energy supplies in a leasehold property controlled by Leeds City Council…

I have been authorized to deal with EON and notify them on hi@eonnext of my sister in law's meter readings for gas only for almost two years. The meter is a very old one situated outside the house and very difficult to read as the inside of the glass in it is discoloured. It needs replacing with an indoor one (preferably a smart meter).
Until this is done the rating for any review will not change.
As the flat is in Leasehold premises controlled by Leeds City Council, the leaseholder has no control over wider energy efficient packages

A rewarding conversation

Dominika dealt with the immediate question that i had posed in my email to Customer Services. I took the opportunity to ask two other questions relating to annual consumption and predictions for the 22/23 year my account and she answered these fully. I was impressed with her listening skills.

Prompt and efficient service by Betty's.

I ordered two separate items to be delivered on separate dates before Christmas.
The dates for delivery were agreed and the date for the second item was arranged for delivery before the rate for delivery was increased to the higher price after 8th December.
We have eaten and thoroughly enjoyed the first cake - which was delivered in the agreed timescale. The courier delivered the second item (which we've placed in the freezer till nearer Christmas) on 6th December two days before the date agreed with Betty's. This caused a little confusion because we got an email from Betty's on the 7th saying our second item would arrive on the 8th.

Delay in delivery of Phone Book Code Companion

I ordered The Phone Book Code Companion to help me identify where the scam telephone calls I receive are coming from and to help me report such calls to Scam alert. The companion clearly empowers me to do this.

I understood when ordering it online on October 4th that I could expect to receive it within 1 to 3 days. It wasn't delivered until today October 14th - 10 days in the postal system.

Golden wedding gift.

There are few companies that send flowers to people in other parts of the country. The procedure was easy to follow and the flowers were delivered on schedule and were appreciated by my sister in law.
The picture of the flowers - seen on Facebook - looked nice, but we thought they were expensive for what they were

The handle on our oven door was…

The handle on our oven door was damaged. As we had provided the make of the cooker to the call center operator, the engineer was well equipped to be able to resolve the problem without any significant hiccups

A year's experience with First Utility

Initially I was surprised at the monthly direct debit figure used - which was significantly more than i had been paying to my previous utility company (British Gas) and the amount I was expecting to pay following the quotation from a comparison website before I changed to First Utility (FU) in 2014.

I have renewed my contract with FU for another year and am pleased to report that the direct debit figure has been reduced to an amount which I had expected to be paying when I changed provider a year ago.

I think that the problem may have been over the low estimated usage I had provided when signing up with FU.

Otherwise I have been generally satisfied with the online service that FU has provided. Occasionally I have tried to contact them by phone and recall having to wait on one occasion for about 30 minutes to speak to someone. However their recorded message system told me that i could have a long wait and kept telling me where I was in the queue waiting system
