Dreadful please do not use homelegal…

Dreadful please do not use homelegal direct. We were passed from solicitor to solicitor. Correspondence was dreadful we always had to chase them no one was proactive. We still have not completed and now after weeks of changing and another solicitor have we found out we need extra searches and they do not do them. We are stuck with them what a nightmare.

So you will see below a response form home legal yet again not really telling the whole story. We have paid more money to try and move this forward despite homelegal being HsBC familiar they did not know anything about HSBC. So here we are still now on the 15th July and no clue as to what is happening their lawyer only responds on a Friday night after 5, so I guess we are his side hustle. Save yourself time, money and pain and use someone else

We are disappointed that you felt you had to leave a one star review based on your experience so far.
After your initial instruction, your file was moved due to the firm informing us in the afternoon that they were unable to take on any more files of that type. As such to avoid any delays your file was moved to a firm who had capacity to take it on, however we apologise that our communication surrounding this was not as it should have been.

Since then, we can see from the notes on file that your appointed case handler was changed on account of the first one leaving the company.

You will appreciate that this is out of our control, but at no point have you reached out to Home Legal Direct to ask us to assist you. While changing case handler should have very minimal impact on your transaction, if any impact at all, our support team is on hand to liaise with the firm upon request.
