Excellent Service from Sharon
I recently purchased a property through Your Move - Darlington, and I cannot thank Sharon enough for all her help throughout the process.
There were several issues involving the current tenant that made the purchase quite challenging, and at one stage I was very close to pulling out altogether. However, Sharon went above and beyond to help find practical solutions and acted as an excellent mediator between myself and the seller.
She was always professional, responsive, and proactive in keeping discussions moving forward. Rather than letting the sale fall apart, Sharon took the time to understand everyone's concerns and worked tirelessly to reach a solution that was acceptable to all parties.
Thanks to Sharon's dedication and commitment, we were able to proceed with the purchase and all outstanding issues were successfully resolved.

Poorly managed sale process with unnecessary delays and costs
Unfortunately, this was a very frustrating and exhausting property purchase experience that ultimately collapsed after several months.
To be fair, most of the core issue came from the vendor and the vendor’s solicitor, who delayed matters for months and failed to properly progress essential repairs and legal documentation. Even after lender reports clearly confirmed the property was not mortgageable due to a single-skin basement bathroom wall issue, there was still no proper action taken for a very long time.
However, I also feel the agency could have managed the situation much better. Communication often felt reactive rather than proactive, and I repeatedly had to chase updates myself. At one stage, after months of discussions, I was still being asked to identify which wall was affected, despite already providing lender explanations multiple times in writing and even discussing it during viewings.
Another major issue was that the legal process barely even started properly. Despite the sale being agreed at £... , weeks and months passed without the vendor’s solicitor issuing a proper draft contract pack to my solicitor, which caused huge unnecessary delays.
On top of that, I was charged for ID checks during a transaction that never meaningfully progressed, and when I requested a refund after months of wasted time and a failed purchase, it was refused. Considering how little actual progress was made, this felt very unfair and left an even worse impression.
Overall, the process caused significant stress, wasted time, lender costs, rental costs, and unnecessary expenses. I appreciate that some staff remained polite throughout, but better coordination, stronger pressure on the vendor side, and more accountability could have avoided much of this experience.
I genuinely hope future buyers receive a smoother and more professionally managed process.

We were in the process of buying an apartment Horrible experience !
We were in the process of buying an apartment with your move Newton Abbot. We were very confused with the involvement of 'IAMSOLD ' auction house's involvement .
A late discovery after paying a 'holding deposit' of some UKP 6,400 of sewage/water pipes directly under the property caused us to pull out .
We lost our UKP 6,400 , and the manager of th branch -
'Vicky ' , stated well at least we will get our commission
We were devastated , the company had been MOST pushy with daily emails threatening other purchasers and more . Horrible experience , upset us for months .

We explored the services provided by many local estate agents and at the outset Your Move, Dundee appeared to be an estate agency that wanted to get the best price for us, rather than a quick sale.
Your Move kept in touch with us throughout the time our property was on the market so we knew exactly what each step involved and that helped to take the stress out of the process for us. Your Move arranged professional photographs which made our property look very appealing while providing a realistic view.
We felt that Your Move, Dundee followed the guidance for estate agents closely which is import for such a significant transaction.
We would definitely recommend Your Move, Dundee.

Disappointing service and lack of transparency from start to finish
After many months with Your Move Dumfries, we removed our property from the market due to a deeply disappointing level of service throughout the sales process.
While I understand that property sales can fall through and buyers can change their minds, the core issue here was not the outcome, but the repeated misinformation, poor communication, and lack of transparency from the agency.
At the outset, we were given clear assurances regarding proactive management, communication, and buyer qualification in order to secure our instruction. Unfortunately, those assurances were not met at any stage of the process.
Throughout the sale, we had to repeatedly chase for basic updates and were given information that later proved to be inaccurate or incomplete. Key aspects of the chain were not clearly communicated, and at times we were operating on assumptions that turned out to be wrong.
This lack of clarity directly affected our ability to make informed decisions and created unnecessary stress, uncertainty, and financial risk during an already pressured period. The handling of the chain felt reactive rather than actively managed.
We also experienced inconsistent communication between staff members and were informed of comments and updates during the process that were, in our view, inappropriate and unprofessional to be passed on to clients.
Ultimately, we lost confidence that our sale was being properly managed or that our position as the seller was being protected.
While individual members of staff were polite in their interactions, the overall service delivery fell well below a reasonable professional standard.
Based on our experience, we would not recommend Your Move Dumfries.
