Can't get a futon right...

Can't get a futon right...

Got a double frame with a single matress.

Emailed them and was asked to take a photograph of the futon, which kind of made us feel like we were being accused of lying? We seem to recall the driver had taken a photograph too. But supposedly it's easier to hold up our order by making us jump through hoops.

We were then told that the correct mattress had been ordered and would be received this week! it being Friday I called them up to see what was going on and inexplicably it's out of stock. Fantastic. Have been told I'll get a call back once "who they need to speak to comes in". But after being on hold for 20 minutes at a time and having emails ignored, I'm not expecting to receive any call. To be honest, I just want a refund at this point, but probably wouldn't be able to as we've already put the frame together for the photograph that was demanded.

This is not service. This is borderline criminal. It's a shame really because when we DO get through to anybody they're nice enough on the phone. as it stands, we feel like we've been robbed of around £130 in exchange for something we can't really use.

I'll carry on updating this as this drama unfolds. - who knows perhaps they can redeem themselves?

**Update** have been told that we could get a "discount" so we can go buy the mattress somewhere else. However, it would seem that the mattress alone would cost more than the cost of the futon in the first place. So it's not really an option.

**Last update** waited on hold for another 25 minutes after being told I'd be called back in 20min (waited like 2 hours)- then told that "they've had some IT issue whilst switching over to being with dunelm mill and as a result they were never able to request for the replacement mattress ever to be delivered."

So that's it, after 2 weeks wasted, I've had to ask for a refund because this crummy company can't supply a correct size mattress to a frame and then just shrug and more or less say "don't know can't send emails"

Do yourself a favour and just don't bother with these. Crappy service does not come close to describing what's happened. Ultimately, we, the customers are the losers here. They're getting their stock back. we've lost time.

I'll update further when they inevitably don't show up to pick up the mattress and frame, or refuse to take either because it's missing the box, or the mattress is the wrong size, which is all their fault.

TERRIBLE.

TERRIBLE.

Ordered matching sofa and armchair and picked a delivery date which was 1st September. A few days before this date I received an email from dunelm who make the sofas that due to and error with their computing system they would have to re arrange delivery and gave me 3 dates to choose from. Picked a date and had no reply to confirm they recieved this.
In this whole process I have had absolutely zero contact with worldstores apart from a confirmation email to confirm I had bought these products.
Gets to the day and no sign of the delivery. Ring up worldstores and was told that due to them moving warehouse they have a backlog of deliveries and they can not tell me when my sofas will be delivered or wether they even have them. I had a suspicion when ordering the armchair that they might not have it as it is not available on the dunelm website anymore so more than likely they have just taken my money for a product thar doesn’t even exist. If that’s the case I find it hard to believe that in 8 weeks they haven’t realised they have sold me a non existent armchair and offered to refund me. After reading the reviews on here looks like I’m going to be playing a game of cat and mouse with worldstores and will likely struggle to get a response on an estimated delivery date or wether they even have them at all.
Absolute shambles and shocking that in this day and age they haven’t got a system that tells them wether or not they have a product that was ordered 8 weeks previous

Ordered one bunk bed and two mattresses…

Ordered one bunk bed and two mattresses and paid for delivery charge. It was meant to be next day delivery and they only managed to do the delivery on 5th day. When I received the items there was only one mattress. Poor delivery people couldn't do anything as they had just one mattress on their list. Called customer services to complain now I have to wait another two days to get the second mattress. Really bad service and I will never buy anything from this site.

FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR HEALTH - AVOID AVOID AVOID

Just read Rosie Wallis's review. I would love to see another review from Rosie in a few months when her sofa has fallen apart and the utter nightmare she will have dealing with Worldstores customer service department - if she can get hold of them that is!
I have a sofa from Worldstores that has fallen apart after a few months. After a lengthly process getting hold of world stores they have agreed to collect the sofa and replace it today. I am sat here waiting. I think I have got more chance winning the Euro Millions than anyone turning up today. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

Ignore the bad reviews!

Was sceptical to purchase from Sofasworld (owned by this company) when I had read the reviews but can honestly say you should ignore every bad review on here!! Amazing service, quick delivery and brilliant communication. Also not to mention my sofa is gorgeous and so so comfy! I was updated the day prior to my delivery and throughout the morning of the day of delivery. Lovely delivery man Terry brought my sofa up two flights of stairs and positioned it for me without any bother. Thank you so much!!

Do not use this company

Awful. Do not order from this company. Open one box and stated assembly. Lots of chips, dents, scratches etc. Used their website to arrange a refund and collection. Still not received a reply or acknowledgement of my email 5 days later. Terrible quality and even worse customer service

no sight of our sofa bed... 2 months waiting

We ordered a sofabed 2 months ago and still no delivery! No contact or anything!!! World stores have taken our money but we have nothing to show for it!

We’ve tried contacting them but give up after been on hold for over 35 minutes!! Shocking customer service, £250 down and nothing to show for it!!!

Pathetic customer support # Stay away

Pathetic customer support. They don't care the customer once we placed the order. Item didn't deliver on agreed date. The delivery was cancelled on the very morning of the day. NO PHONE CALLS or APOLOGIES from worldstore. Just a text message from the delivery team.

I have ordered a next day delivery available item, paid for shipping and agreed to deliver after 7 days. They dont delivery weekends and only certain days they will deliver the item. That too they give a whole day window. The problem is I work Monday to Friday and I cannot plan my leave. If i get 3 hours window i can arrange half day. We get 4 hr window on the delivery day.

So I took a full day off and I confirmed (on phone) the delivery the day before the scheduled delivery and they told everything is ok. They could told me at that point so that I could cancel my leave. I got a text message on the day that my delivery is cancelled. I lost my annual leave which I took only to collect this delivery.

I tried to call them and i had to wait around 50+mins to talk to someone who give reply just like a robot. I emailed them and it took around 10 days to get the reply.

So who will take this responsibility?? I have lost one days pay when I took another leave to collect this. Will the world store pay me this??
Is this the way you are treating you customer????

Don't buy sofas from this company

Don't buy sofas from this company. I have had 5 different sofas delivered and all 5 times they have been faulty. Either the recliner doesn't recline or there are huge gaps between the seats. Pathetic and really annoying after taking time off work to accept deliveries and then calling up customer services is a joke as your on hold for over 45 minutes each time and then you get disconneced. Best time to call is 9am.

Avoid this place,quick to take money and not deliver.

Absolutely shocking,avoid at all costs!

After waiting 8 weeks for a sofa and being given a delivery date it never turned up,
My partner contacted the company to find the very unhelpful customer service agent “marcos villa” (if that is his real name) tell her that the “courier has lost our sofa”

Maybe someone put it in there pocket by accident,they are small I suppose..who knows?

The only outcome of this was that we had to cancel the order and ask for a refund that we have to wait 5 days for until we can buy elsewhere, even tho I believe I should be refunded instantly as it’s worldstores problem and not mine yet we have to suffer.

Avoid this place at all costs, terrible staff and not even able to deliver product after having paid for it.

Thanks to them we are sat on the floor in our living room,I will recommend everyone to boycott this useless company to save the aggravation and wasted time off that I have been through.

This certainly is not acceptable and isn't the service we want to be providing to any of our customers.

It is regretful that you have requested to cancel your order. We advised 3-5 working days for the funds to appear in your bank as it is down the individual banks process on how quickly the funds to your account.

Purchased Kyoto sofa bed in July last…

Purchased Kyoto sofa bed in July last year click mechanism failed and sofa was replaced in October however same problem occurred again in July sofa bed has to be propped against the wall resulting in damage to the paintwork, sent e-mail on 10th July and several more since no response poor customer service.

stay well clear of this company for…

stay well clear of this company for your own peace of mind or they will give you as much stress as possible...I ordered a couch and I took 4 different deliveries and over 3 months for them to finally get it right...they totally ignore your emails and phone calls and don't deliver they're promises to theyre customers...they just blame they're couriers or company they use to fix your couch that they deliver that's already broke...also they promised a goodwill gesture because they know it was not the customer fault but they tell you that this can only happen once the situation has finally been fixed then they don't deliver on that promise and ignore the emails and phone calls...absolutely should deliver beta blockers with anything you order off them...

After more than 4 weeks, delivery not here

We ordered and paid for a single Florence bed frame and a mattress for our daughter's 6th birthday. We also paid a delivery fee of £25. The mattress arrived as planned on Mon 23 July but the frame was missing - no explanation. We rang the supplier and they said they would email us back within 48 hours to let us know what was happening. Nothing happened. The following week we phoned again and we're promised we would be contacted with information about the bed frame within 48 hours. That was over a fortnight ago and we are still waiting and have no idea when or if the bedframe (which we have paid for) will arrive. Our daughter's birthday was the 14 August and she is still waiting for her present. We are seriously unimpressed.
