I payed for one of their more expensive items four weeks ago at the Malvern spring show. So far I haven’t received it, I sent an email last week, which was replied to promptly. Giving me encouragement that all would be fine- the email said it would be posted out a week ago and I would get a tracking number. So far nothing! The telephone number doesn’t connect and I have no other way of contacting them. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. I am now having to look at ways to either get my money back or hopefully get the Noah’s ark for my grandsons christening present

This is one of the worst customer service experiences. We bought a wooden animal playset for £30 in Winchester christmas market. As it was packed, we opened it after coming home and see one of the pieces was broken. When i called the number on their website no one answered. I emailed and there was no response. after atleast 10 to 20 attempts of calls and emails. Someone replied and asked to send the receipt. Then after few email exchanges including sending my transaction screenshot. They still didn't refund me. I am going to dispute the transaction with mastercard now.

Sadly would advise to avoid. As per a couple of the other reviews here, a group of us bought multiple puzzles at a trade fair, awesome service there and great quality puzzles. So when it came to my nephew and son’s birthdays, I went to order online. Paid for next day delivery but they didn’t turn up. Phone number on the website is unreachable so sent an email asking after my order. Did actually get an email back asking for my order number as they didn’t have a record of my order, which felt very unusual. Then didn’t hear anything back for over 10 days during which I sent a couple of prompt emails. I got my bank involved and then the puzzles appeared at my door without any notice of dispatch, with an email from the company after they’d arrived showing proof of arrival. I had no offer of a refund for the next day delivery price or any gesture of goodwill at any point.

Upon opening the puzzles, they absolutely stink, as if they’ve been stored in a musky mouldy room, and a number of the pieces’ writing is partially rubbed off.

Super disappointed with the whole experience and quality of the items now, they seem very different to what I’d purchased previously. You are paying premium prices and expect premium products. I spent over £100 with this company on this order and ended in disappointment.

We bought 2 jigsaws from a Trade Fair at Hebert Castle and they were great so when it came to a birthday for one of the children, we ordered another jigsaw to be sent direct to our nephew. Weeks later it had not arrived so I tried calling the company but got no response. I then emailed them but same again no response. At this time I thought the item may be lost in the post so I ordered another. 2 days later the item was delivered so I contacted Wood like to Play to cancel the 2nd order but, 3 weeks later, yesterday, the second order arrived. Their service is useless, they don’t answer phone calls and don’t respond to emails. Service does not exist with these people, I hope they turn up again for a trade fair so I can tell them how bad their service is.

Bought 2 toys for our Granddaughter for Christmas ,very authentic and traditional ,just like ones we bought for our Children some 40 years ago.

I preferred my son a birthday present in Oct 2024 online as my nana tried calling several times and no one answered, it then arrived late even though we paid for next day delivery it took over 1 week and was completely the wrong item. After trying to call, message on Facebook and emailing after 4 weeks someone did finally reply to my email to say they would be sending out the correct item. It is now over a year and I’m still waiting for the replacement and yet again all calls not answered and emails ignored!!! Do not buy from this company

I ordered the London Bus playset personalised with my son's name, and the whole experience — from order to delivery — was absolutely perfect. The attention to detail is amazing, and the quality of the toy is outstanding. My son was thrilled to see his name on the bus — it made the gift even more special. Beautifully made, thoughtful, and delivered on time. Highly recommend Wood Like to Play for anyone looking for meaningful, handcrafted toys!

AVOID. NOT TO BE TRUSTED.

I ordered two products (one of which was supposed to be personalised) as children’s Christmas presents in November 2024, having been assured that they would arrive well before Christmas. I phoned a week or so before Christmas having not yet received the items, and was assured that they would arrive imminently. Come 23rd December, the products had still not arrived. I was then told that they had got lost in transit and that I would be sent unpersonalised products as it would not be possible to issue personalised items before Christmas, however I was told that the personalised elements would be sent in the New Year. We are now in July 2025, despite numerous emails and telephone messages (which have been ignored), I have still not received the personalised elements that I paid for.
