Wickes - Southampton Recensioni 

Josey was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable with helping us plan our kitchen design!

After visiting Wickes Bournemouth we felt inclined to buy a kitchen through that store. The kitchen displays were well put together, clean, empty and represented a good range of fittings. The staff member was helpful and not pushy.
We later visited a competitor at Southampton, but were not impressed.
We thought a look at Wickes Southampton would be useful, so went there expecting something similar to Bournemouth.
What a contrast! The kitchen displays were assembled, but shelves and fittings were left out and could be found in random cupboards and drawers. Some drawer mechanisms were damaged, making the drawer impossible to close. One wooden work surface was badly scored and stained, making us wonder about durability. Several cupboards were stuffed full of cleaning products, pamphlets and miscellaneous items. Quite a lot of dust and grime was present and it was clear there was no pride taken and little awareness of the need to focus on initial impressions. We soon left.

We are looking for an alternative to Wickes.

The response from Wickes was prompt and positive. The kitchen will be fitted by a family member, therefore I do not feel any need to avoid Wickes. The family member has a lot of experience in building work and recommended Wickes as providing good quality products.

Kim @ Southampton helped me find what I was looking for even though I didn't fully know what I wanted. She showed me loads of options and it was super fast!

I have been helped enormously by Kryssy at Wickes , who has been instrumental in helping design an entire floor place replacing 3 rooms with a kitchen/ diner. A lot of patience and thoughtfulness throughout the process . Thank you

I live near Southampton and my large panels arrived on time and in perfect condition. The delivery driver from CitySprint was superb. Courteous, friendly and very helpful. Cannot fault.

I was struggling to lift a bag of compost from Southampton store and a lovely young man called Billel came to my rescue and not only lifted Ito to the trolley but took it to my car and transferred it into my boot. He was warm, friendly, respectful and helpful.

I am not a DIY enthusiast but my visit to Wicks Winchester Road was really enjoyable.
I wanted some peace shingle. I met two of your staff both of which were very helpful.
The delivery charge of 4.00 was really nice as well

We went to Wickes as our previous kitchen came from Wickes which was 17 years old and we never had any issues with it. We decided we wanted to update it in a different colour and style. After looking around the kitchen displays in store we met Kryssy, the design consultant and discussed our requirements. She visited our house a week later and with her amazing knowledge of kitchens and design, measured up what was required and resolved a problem we had with the tower unit. We met up with Kryssy again instore and ordered a the new kitchen and appliances. As we needed additional specialist works she allocated us a fitter that would meet all our needs. Kryssy was just brilliant and patient at sorting everything out. Now in late April the new kitchen work is starting.

Nick at Southampton Wickes was incredibly helpful in finding what we needed and cutting it to the right size. Friendly, knowledgeable, and easily solved our issue. Thanks very much Nick.

Severe Flood & Water Off. Don't Buy From Wickes.

My Mum (in her 70's) had a Bathroom fitted towards the end of last year, and the work is meant to be covered by a 2 Year Warranty. Yesterday (Sunday) the bathroom started leaking / pouring through the ceiling. She called Wickes and they told here to either call out a plumber and get reimbursed or to call at 8am on Monday morning (Today) and Wiskes would send a plumber to fix this.

Customer Services have been less than helpful, Mum has been told many times that she will get a call back, yet nothing has happened. She has also phone many times and nobody seems to know what is going on.

Great experience this morning getting some mdf cut to size. Staff member Nick was so helpful, plus gave some useful tips too. Highly recommended!

I've recently ordered fence panels and post's from Wickes, always pleased with the quality of product, but home delivery has been a problem on three of the four recent deliveries, a big thank you to Adam from the Southampton Wickes branch who sorted my delivery issue, and kept me informed and rang me back to update me on delivery, really impressed with the customer service.

Dreadful service, waited in an empty property for a kitchen delivery for 2 hours, checked tracker to see canceled by customer!!
I had not canceled the order, called Wickes to ask what was going on they advised it was still due to be delivered. When they finally saw what I was looking at they called the store.
Wickes were not really interested, we got our kitchen the next day so all was fine as far as they are concerned, doesn't matter I had to wait around for nothing, they can cancel at anytime, the order was delivered within the 30 day limescale, what's my problem?
Wickes blamed courier and they blamed Wickes. Wickes customer service complaint team do not investigate fully but as compensation they offered me my £4 delivery charge back.
Avoid having anything delivered by Wickes!!

Visited Winchester Rd store on Monday to buy materials for enclosing a balcony for cats. Had dimensions and sought advice concerning materials from Nick who was patient and very helpful. I have always found this store very well laid out, clean and the staff very pleasant and helpful.

What a great trip to Wickes, I have never used their cutting service (yes our local store still offers this), so this was my first experience. I needed some wood cut to size for some shelving I was making for our garage. Nick, was on the cutting desk and was so friendly and helpful. He even leant my young daughter some ear defenders whilst he made the cuts. I hope the cutting service stays as it is so handy and thumbs up to Nick who was amazing.

Ciaran from the Southampton Winchester Road store was incredibly helpful when I needed to get some sand. He showed me where it was as I couldn’t find it, then carried it to the till for me as it was heavy. He then offered to take it to my car for me despite being very busy. Thank you Ciaran. Excellent customer service. 5 star employee

I asked an assistant called Nick about a tap i required for our bathroom. He was incredibly helpful, providing advice about the options I had available in store. He was very knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. I enjoy shopping in Wickes as the assistants are helpful and knowledgeable whixh I really appreciate.

Bought an 8'x4' sheet of ply. Nick on the cutting service was really helpful, and gave me a discount when he found out it was for a Cub scouts project! Will use this store again even though it's not my nearest.
