Bought a kitchen

Bought a kitchen, spent a lot!!! Dealt with Gordon at the shipley branch who made all my nigldy picky wishes come true. A true gentleman and nothing was to much.
Even when I made an error with the measurements he sorted me out again so smooth and professional.

This experience was a little while ago

This experience was a little while ago. I had previously wanted to get a Trade Pro account but struggled online. However on a visit to the Shipley Wickes branch a helpful young man, Amar, came over to assist with paint selection, but happily he sorted a Trade Pro membership out for me super-quick. Now I happily use the app. Thank you Amar!

We had an appointment on Tuesday At 1PM…

We had an appointment on Tuesday At 1PM the day after we made the appointment I noticed they had put the wrong door number in so I phoned them to tell them correct door number I was told it would be changed.
Buy a member of staff from the kitchen team it wasn’t changed and the designer went to the wrong door we waited until 2.15 pm I phoned up to be told she had been I said no one had been that’s when I found out the door number had never been changed so the person I spoke to lied.

4 out of 6 Fences arrived damaged from…

4 out of 6 Fences arrived damaged from Shipley Wickes, they collected 4 and redelivered 3 more damaged fences. We complained again and then wickes arranged a collection and delivery again and no delivery took place, only collection. We were called the next day and told by the Shipley Wickes store manager, Lisa to come and choose the fences. We drove 25 mins, my pregnant wife and I saw 3 fences all of which were broken and shattered fences on display. We were then directed to the back of the warehouse were we looked through 20 fences to only find one that was suitable. The manager Lisa after we questioned what we needed to do about the other fences told us to contact customer service for a refund or reimbursement for the damaged fences. Failing to tell us she could process this herself. Please check store CCTV from Saturday the 9 May. I believe she pretended to pass the buck on to customer service as she wanted to avoid getting into discussion about giving us the refund that we deserved. She continued to say the fences are poor quality and we were getting frustrated as to why she couldn’t tell us this the day before and ask us to visit another store that would have better fences. Her callous attitude and constant advise to just return all of the fences as they a really bad brand was quite frustrating and do go somewhere else rather than shop with Wickes. She proceeded to show us other fences when we specifically wanted the double slatted fence and we trust Wickes as we have shopped from you for many years. Just not that awful Shipley store! We have spent the last week calling/ emailing back and forth to arrange a collection and get a replacement. Wickes keep saying we can only get fences from Wickes Shipley and won’t provide us with any information as to which other stores stock the forest garden double slatted fences for us to select. We have seen the quality of the fences at Shipley and all of them are poor quality which was also confirmed by their other employee Jack who said we often have many redeliveries on these fences and customers need to come out and choose them. I don’t see why, just because i live in Bradford, I have to be limited to the Wickes Shipley store, it’s an awful store and I should be able to choose a fence from a store nearby or trust when I pay for delivery that I don’t get fences that are completely cracked and broken in multiple places. Our order number is in the reference below.

Having a really bad day,Staff brought a smile to my day..

Having a really bad day had to pick a Venetian blind up as not have in girlington branch so traveled to shipley branch,needed help so asked one of store assistants "Tracy"who was busy... sorry I startled you and you dropped a bottle of spray,Tracy was so polite and helpful saying iv no need to apologize what lovely staff,stopped what she was doing and walked me to the item I was looking for!Great customer service a credit to wickes!also have to mention the polite girl on check out Jenna,thank you!other stores could learn from Tracy!!what a star!

DIY novice!

First time doing any kind of DIY & decorating. I had an issue of covering an old aerial socket and Tracy at the Shipley store was so helpful. She spent time discussing the problem and what she suggested worked like a treat. I then went in the next day and she also helped me choose the best sander. Tracey was so kind and patient with me, a complete novice.

Extremely disappointed with Wickes’…

Extremely disappointed with Wickes’ refusal to take responsibility for a faulty Samsung oven included in our full kitchen installation. After less than 2 years, the oven failed. A technician refused to fix it because the internal screws were seized/corroded, which Wickes has now officially labeled as "misuse or lack of maintenance."

There is no maintenance schedule for internal oven screws. They have corroded due to standard use in a high-moisture environment, yet Wickes is hiding behind manufacturer warranty jargon rather than honoring my statutory rights as a consumer. If you are considering a full kitchen with Wickes, be warned: once they have your money, they will use any excuse—no matter how illogical—to avoid fixing faulty goods. Currently escalating to the Ombudsman and Section 75. Order #496707.

Slagging off of competitors came across…

Slagging off of competitors came across as really unprofessional and his overall attitude towards the whole thing was not great. I had no follow up appointment booked in and was told to ring him with my quote from another supplier which I found baffling as why would that affect my Wickes quote. I will not be going to Wickes now as a result of this

Having to repair our boundary wall and…

Having to repair our boundary wall and with no experience of how to do it we arrived at Wickes Shipley hoping we might find a member of staff who could advise us what we would need to do the job. Thankfully Tracy was on hand to to tell us what we needed and where we could find the product. Reassuringly professional and personable. Thank you Tracy 👍👏👏

Professional service

Abi was amazing giving me a design and quote for a new kitchen. She went above and beyond. Despite going over the allocated time she even gave my partner a quote for his bathroom and kitchen improvements which he is delighted with.

Faster and friendlier than AI

I was sent to purchase a 13 amp terminal connector. I showed the image i had found on line to Tracy who told me exactly where to find what i was looking for. She was fast friendly and seemed very happy to help. Who needs AI when you have Tracy working for you!

We popped over to the Wickes Shipley store to talk through ideas for a new kitchen, and the service was genuinely excellent. Rebecca Cox took the time to walk us through options, share her knowledge, and help us think about things we hadn’t even considered. It made the long drive absolutely worth it. Really friendly, really helpful — would happily recommend the Shipley team. Five stars from us.

Unapologetic, late arrival made me doubt the company’s professionalism.

Abby arrived late and didn’t apologise. She quickly got down to business but was a little off hand and not prepared to listen carefully to my priorities regarding the bathroom design. She understood what Wickes was able to provide and she seemed knowledgable. However I was already nervous about Wickes because of their use of contractors and Abby’s lack of professionalism further undermined my faith in the company.

Helpful Harris!

Harris was incredibly helpful today when I visited the store. I had no idea what type of paint I needed - he talked me through the options, the range of brands and I left with exactly what I needed.
