First class service from Jason

We were served by Jason at the rayleigh branch in essex.
The service he provided was fantastic, he wasnt pushy like your typical salesman, he listened to want we wanted and how we needed our kitchen to fuction.
We were very pleased with the drawing he provided us with showing what it would look like.
We settled on the Tiverton in pebble with the mystery marble worktop and matching splash back.
After talking us through the range of appliances, we settled on the aeg range as these seemed the better ones to go for.
If you want top class service i would recommend seeing Jason hes service was top class

Had a home visit which randomly became…

Had a home visit which randomly became an hour later than scheduled which was changed on their end so I was waiting around for an hour for no reason

Was told I would be contacted after the designs had been drawn up, I was never contacted

Keep getting emails saying my quote is expiring soon but I never received a quote via email

Ridiculous if you ask me

Excellent customer service

I would like to recognise Sophie from the Rayleigh store for her excellent customer service. I was very disappointed in my purchase of Wickes own brand paint stripper and returned an unopened bottle for a refund. Instead of just refunding the item, Sophie asked about the issued I had experienced and when I mentioned others had also reported this in reviews she immediately took action to inform the back office of the issue. She quickly identified that if I and others had reported it then this would be a wider issue. I was so impressed with the seriousness with which she took my complaint and her immediate action. She turned what was a negative experience for me into a positive. She genuinely cares about the customer as well as the company and left me impressed and taken care of. Thank you Sophie.

Not how they advertise

Turned up hour early( lucky I was in), dumped 9 instead of the ordered 10 outside my flat's front door ,and refused to take them round to the back garden where we needed them.Then he just drove off! I'm a single woman and I had to pay someone else to move them. Absolute crap. Awful service. Never use them again.

Wickes Bathroom Design and Installation

Wickes provided a complete design, deliver and installation service on our recent bathroom innovation.
Stuart, our designer, was so incredibly helpful, professional and positive throughout. He had great insight, ideas and lots of experience which helped us choose all the right products. We had a few delivery issues and some small problems along the way but he managed to resolve them very quickly (despite being really busy ) so that the installation team were not delayed. The customer experience with Stuart was first class.

The install team - Jay, Darren and Harry were equally brilliant. Very hard workers and overcame little issues along the way with a calm and positive attitude. They also kept everything clean and tidy at the end of each day of the installation.

When we needed to also make contact with customer services, they too were really helpful. What was so positive was that you didn't need to wait long on the line to talk to a named person who always followed up.

Bathroom and kitchen renovations are really disruptive but the teams made it much easier with all their support and putting us at the heart of everything they did.

I would totally recommend Wickes and the team at the Rayleigh store. I wish I had known about this service when we changed our kitchen!

Having Ordered a bathroom & installation
I have ended up with a shower end panel I can't use because something went wrong with the communication between the designer & installation team. I have now spent the best part of 3 weeks calling & emailing customer services to arrange a collection and refund of said end panel, only to have my telephone & emails egnored.it seems that once they have your money they don't want to know. would think twice about purchasing from them again.

I wanted 12 paving slabs for a garden…

I wanted 12 paving slabs for a garden project. I wasn’t able to reach them in the shelving unit so Cameron helped me he loaded them on to the trolley and pushed it to the tills. He waited with me and loaded the slabs into my car. Very helpful and polite. The Ra

Appalling communication and customer…

Appalling communication and customer service from Wickes.I had a delivery arranged for Thursday 02/04/2026 from the Rayleigh branch and was given a delivery slot of 7am to 7pm.Took the day off and didn’t receive the materials I needed for the job I had planned for Easter.No call from Wickes to explain why just a no show.They finally called me the following afternoon to tell me my order wasn’t being delivered ( think I’d already worked that out).

Disastrous bathroom order from Wickes Rayleigh…

We were informed in early November 2025 by Wickes in Rayleigh (Essex) that our bathroom should be delivered within 2 weeks. On that basis we paid more than£10000 for our bathroom. After more than 3 months and many piecemeal deliveries, the majority of our order arrived and our fitter could finally fit most of it. There were further delays of a few pieces but these have now been sorted. The stress involved in the whole situation was unbelievable, having to cancel and rebook our fitter on many different occasions. I complained and have been offered a measly £45 final offer as recompense which is a pitiful insult. I have now escalated this to their general customer relations so I hope for a more positive response.
Don’t order a bathroom from this company if you are on a tight timescale and certainly don’t book a fitter until all items have been delivered.
The bathroom itself is of a reasonable quality but not worth the money and stress involved

Went into Rayleigh wickes and spoke to Jason from the design team , very polite , helped me order my new vanity unit for the bathroom and gave me advise on how to maintain my taps . All in all a pleasant, friendly and helpful man . Good customer care .

5 stars are for staff at Rayleigh store ✨️ not wicks overall

Went to wicks at Rayleigh, ordered some decking and timber . They sent me a message saying it would be delivered Monday between 10 and 16.00 so I took the day off to wait for delivery, just after 10 they rang and said they couldn't deliver because of cables in and around my home (although they had delivered before) .
So I cancelled my order. I give Daniel at Rayleigh store 5 stars not wicks overall
Daniel went above and beyond to help with my problem.
Customer service was fantastic,
Wats upsetting is i use wicks alot ,I live on canvey island which most of the island has cables ie power, telephone ect by the houses .
This delivery was coming from a different store so cant blame Rayleigh.
I would say check if they WILL deliver to your address before buying what you need or you may end up taking time off for nothing.
Once again a big thanks to Daniel at the Rayleigh store .

Kitchen and bathroom guidance

We met with Leanne who was so helpful from the start of our visit until the end. She was a font of knowledge on suggestions and ideas where we lacked a little vision without being pushy. Her ideas were so helpful and we look forward to our follow up appointment with her.

Zero Customer Experience! Appointment wrongly cancelled with no apologies!

We booked a bathroom design appointment with Wickes in Raleigh (not to be generalised with other Wickes departments or branches) slated for Saturday at 11:30am (booked in two hour durations). My wife realised that the appointment may be delayed by an ongoing carpet fit in the property. She then called the branch on Saturday morning and asked whether the appointment could be pushed back by 30 minutes. The staff promised to check and call back.
By 12:10pm after having seen nobody, we attempted several calls and later got a call back from a Jason Rhodes only to be told that he got to the property, noticed there was nowhere to park his vehicle and after being told by his team that the appointment had been cancelled by us (yeah, you read that right!), terminated and left.
They had our phone number and could have parked in our drive, if need be. There was no contact from the team regarding the situation or any possible future arrangements.
Most significantly, there was no iota of empathy shown. This is simply unacceptable service.
