So I just wanted to give a big thumbs up for Nassi. A lovely lady. Extremely helpful in her manner and friendliness on the till. Always makes my day with her gentle wit and positive demeanour.

Was all going very well and my review would have been wonderful until it came to having items collected for return. Then it all went down hill. Arranged collection, all confirmed and booked. Waited In and time ticked on with no phone call on the day as promised to give a rough time if collection. So I called them only to be told it had been cancelled. No telephine call to advise me or simple common courtesy. Just cancelled wasting my day waiting in. So, so discusted.
Won't use them again to have any large items delivered or collected. Plenty of builders merchants around, will find one which is more professional and respectful with their customers time.
Now left waiting again for another collection. Let's hope they can get their act together this time. Will update if let down again.

My wife and I were buying various items at WICKES in Hertford, Hertfordshire and when we got to the checkout we were greeted by Nassi on the till. She was polite, friendly but more importantly greeted us with a big smile. Nice to be made to feel so welcome, even in a big store.

I popped into Wickes to sort out some decking and Abi was fantastic. She helped me calculate how many 4.8m timber boards I’d need for the space and recommend the right pack size of decking screws so I didn’t overspend. She also pointed me towards a good quality decking oil for when I complete my installation. Friendly, knowledgeable, and saved me time and money

Went shopping to have a look for bathroom and kitchen inspiration as I have just brought my first home and was so overwhelmed and unsure on what to get. Spoke with a few members of staff and they were all so helpful. So polite and couldn’t do enough for me. Brilliant service

I went in on Saturday to have a good browse as I'm thinking of getting a new kitchen. I was approached by a lovely lady , very unusual name Sepideh I think , I hope i've spelt it right. I told her I was browsing for the moment and she left me to it, but said if I needed any help to just come and find her. I did need her and and she was extremely patient with me as I'm so indecisive. I asked her so many questions and not once did she pressure me and she made me feel so valued as a customer. My husband and I have now decided what we want and shall be ordering soon. Thank you Sepideh, you and your team were fantastic

I went into the store today, looking for a new kitchen and bathroom for my mum who is now blind. The store manager, I wish I got her name and the showroom staff were so attentive and understanding to her needs I now feel confident to bring her in for an appointment to get them planned with her. I was surprised to learn wickes now do the sola panels too so I’ve just had that conversation with my mum, she’s very excited by this! I’m so happy I went in to just take a look today. I know my mum is going to be in good hands and wickes can install her project too.

Staff was so helpful. Really helped me find the perfect paint for my kitchen.

Staff are uninterested and rude! For a customer facing role please avoid working in this environment when you have zero desire in helping people. A special mention goes out to the Store Manager who should not be in this role.

Dane Tolliday from Wickes Hertford designed the most beautiful kitchen for my little Victorian house. It was an awkward shape but nothing was too much trouble. The kitchen fitters - also from Wickes - Jamie and co fitted it all in under the suggested two weeks. The whole experience was professional and easy. A year on, I still walk into my kitchen that still looks like new and smile!

Ordered a bathroom from the Hertford store on the 13th July. Did explain I really wanted this installed by October latest. Roll on 6 weeks and hadn’t heard from anyone to arrange a survey. E mailed customer services twice who were completely useless and still heard nothing so went back into the store. Have to say Dane was an excellent and e mailed the world to follow up, but guess what? Nobody responded again. E mailed customer services again and heard nothing so rang the guy who originally sold us the bathroom twice and he didn’t even have the curtesy to return my calls. I then again have emailed customer services to log a complaint which hasn’t even been acknowledged. As a last resort I went back into the store and again was helped by the fabulous Dane who helped me cancel the whole shambles of an experience.

I have since contacted a local firm who did the survey in 1 day!!

I can honestly say this has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will never go near a wickes store ever again, even if it is to buy a pot of paint. I would avoid unless you enjoy radio silence and being treated like a complete mug!!

The only saving grace was Dane who deserves 5 stars for all his help. Thanks Dane.

After my experience with wickes this weekend was promised a telephone call by end of business on Saturday to discuss what’s happening with my order, it’s now 7pm on Sunday and no call, so as it stands I don’t know where my order is, if indeed it’s even been put through, I know I’ve been charged. I can see what’s gonna happen now they will come tomorrow when no one is here and leave saying no one was in even though I told them this what a shower

I was pushed for time when l arrived at Wicks, navigating my way around l couldn’t find what I was looking, Nassi kindly came to my rescue leading me to both areas where i wanted to go. I was out in 10 mins. Great service, thank you

We selected Wickes Hertford and dealt with Dane Tolliday - Design Consultant for our new Kitchen project. From our initial meeting through to the completed project in July 2025, Dane proved to have a deep understanding of what we were looking to achieve as our project involved both a new downstairs bathroom and new extended kitchen layout. With a wall being removed, new boiler and new kitchen door and window. Dane worked with us to recommend the best design layout and with his extensive knowledge presented us with a tailored design which exceeded our initial expectations. Throughout the project life cycle, Dane remained available and offered additional support when we wished to add additional features eg tiles and an additional cupboard for our bathroom. We felt very comfortable we had selected the right company and design consultant in Wickes Hertford and Dane Tolliday. The overall experience was excellent from initial contact, refining our design, the delivery and overall performance received from Wickes. All contact with the various teams at Wickes gave us complete confidence and assurance whilst feeling a very personal experience. We have recommended Wickes to a number of our friends and family and know they too will receive the very same personal and very professional service from Wickes.
It was a great pleasure to work with Dane Tolliday and know all the Wickes team were there to ensure our order was delivered on time. Their customer service team were a credit to their organisation.
