Easy to book online, easy to alter booking over the email, vehicle was very new and only had 500mi and not a single scratch. A great price for the hire period and easy paper work to fill out. Will be using again and also will be recommending if anyone asks where to get a hire car.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. They made the process so easy, and the return process was quick. A very professional and enjoyable experience.

I cannot fault Rent a Car in Sunderland! It was great value for money as well as first class service from beginning to end. Dominic Emery was fantastic to deal with at VW Pulman. The car was spotlessly clean and perfect for our trip to the Lake District. We are, in fact, using this company again later this week. Highly recommended!

I've rented quite a few cars from VW at both Sunderland and Pity Me and the team at both locations are superb.

Last week someone reversed into my sons car putting it off the road. We had to hire a car urgently, I rang Dominic at VW after close of business who arranged a car for me to collect within 15 minutes.

Small things like this matter and evidence just how good VW car rental is.

This is the second time I have rented a car using this company. I travel with my family from Barcelona to visit family in Durham and require a car for this stay. This service is ideal for us. I was happy I came across this company, because it was more than half price of any other rental company for a car for the period I wanted. I gave 4* instead of 5* because it was a little bit tricky to get hold of a representative with the phone number provided on their website, which went straight to voicemail, even after being transferred by the switchboard. Also, it would be good to include VWFS rentals as part of booking.com etc. The rental and paperwork was quick with no fuss, the car was great.

Dominic at Rent-a-Car Sunderland made the whole rental experience a very pleasant and friendly one: - the Seat Leon I picked up was the exact car that I'd specified, it was clean and well-specced with Satnav and the quote was very competitive - much, much better than any of the alternatives. All in all a superb service which I'd recommend without hesitation and will use again.
