Very Disappointing Customer Service – Vodafone Store Newport-NP20 1EA
I visited this Vodafone store on 02/10/2026 to enquire about cancelling my home Wi-Fi contract, which ends on 04/01/2027, and to find out the early termination charges.
I have been a loyal Vodafone broadband customer since 2022, nearly four years. I took the time to drive to the store, paid for parking, and approached an employee expecting a simple face-to-face explanation. Instead, I was told to call Vodafone customer service on 191.
What is the purpose of having a physical store if customers cannot get basic information about their existing contracts?
When it comes to selling SIM cards, broadband packages and other products, staff are happy to explain everything in detail, including prices and figures written down on paper. But when an existing customer asks about cancellation charges or early termination fees, suddenly they cannot help!
Interestingly, when I called Vodafone customer service, I was told that the store employee should have been able to provide information about cancellation and early termination charges.
I visited a Vodafone store, not a coffee shop! I expected proper customer service, not to be redirected to a phone number after making the effort to visit in person.
Customer service should not be limited to selling new products. Existing loyal customers deserve the same attention, respect and support.
Extremely disappointed with this experience. A complete waste of my time, fuel and parking money. Vodafone really needs to improve how it treats its existing customers!

Experiences such as yours help highlight areas where we can improve the service and guidance provided across all customer contact channels.
I am sorry that your visit left you feeling let down and that it did not meet the standards you rightly expected from Vodafone.
