I am disappointed to read your feedback regarding our team and we obviously take these remarks very seriously. After speaking with the store I feel there are a couple of points to clarify regarding your experience.
You came into store to purchase a carpet, without under-lay which you were fitting with your own fitter, who was also supplying your underlay. You purchased your carpet and we delivered it for you the same day.
Our free fitting offer applies to carpet orders where the equivalent size underlay is purchased at the same time, therefore would not be applicable for your order. We quoted you for the carpet, plus fitting or just the carpet, you decided to just take the carpet and opted to use your own fitter.
In the next couple of days you returned to store to purchase some underlay, as there was an issue with the underlay and fitting you sourced through your own fitter. As a gesture of goodwill, we gave you a discount on the underlay you purchased which you were also able to take away with you from the store the same day.
Following both of these transactions you contacted the store again to ask them to re-fit the carpets as you were unhappy with the job that your own fitter had done. At this stage the store was not able to help. Our fitting slots are very busy and had filled up for the timeline you needed, in addition to this we were not comfortable trying to rectify carpet that had been poorly fitted through a fitter not affiliated with our store. We work hard to ensure that all the fitters that we work with maintain our high standards, and would not be able to account for the quality of any work completed by your own fitter.
Our store takes great care to deliver the best possible service so it is disappointing to hear that, despite the extensive steps the store has taken to help with your project, you were still unhappy with your experience.

Carpet fitted very poorly
Carpet fitted very poorly . Cut too short so didn’t go into the door way . So fitter cut a little piece to fit in the gap which didn’t meet with the rest of the carpet .
Will not be using them again .

Detailed advice and smooth carpet fitting
A very friendly and informative lady and guy helped me choose an underlay and carpet for a bedroom in the store. Detailed advice was given as to types and measurements.
My expectations were managed as to how long the carpet delivery would take.
Flexibility was shown on the fitting date as I had to take an unexpected holiday in between and was able to move the fitting date with a simple phone call.
The fitting day went smoothly. Two guys turned up around noon and very competently and skillfully fitted both the underlay and carpet in a couple of hours. Although the carpet was big and heavy, care was taken not to damage anything in the house when carrying it upstairs and they also helped me shift a final item of furniture.
I am very pleased with the final result and would recommend United Carpets.

Carpets have always been excellent quality.

Excellent service
From the first greetings from the staff when entering the shop .too picking my choice of flooring and ordering to fitting. Every little detail was addressed and fitted was arranged when I requested.
A telephone call to let me know when the fitters was arriving and a great job done all round. Very clean and tidy no mess left around by the fitters The quality of service received was excellent.
Would highly recommended .

Superb quality good value carpets
Superb quality carpets for the price. Friendly/knowledgeable/no pressure shop staff, delivered quickly and fitted well. Will definitely be back to buy any future carpets

Queen's Road - Simply the BEST
Queen's Road, Sheffield. Were TOTALLY AMAZING!!! I wanted a rush job because I suddenly decided that it need to be done before guests came to stay the following weekend. I went in on the Wednesday, they said it could be done the following Wednesday (perfect) and then the fitters called at the weekend and did it all on the Monday! I am thrilled to bits, it looks amazing, well in my budget and so helpful, kind, absolutely above and beyond. I HIGHLY recommend Queen's Road , Sheffield.

Visited queens road branch and found…
Visited queens road branch and found staff to be fantastic. Used united carpets for ever room in my old house and now started on the new one. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Staff are always helpful and provide realistic information. I wanted my carpet fitted before Easter and they did manage this, but did not over promise as it was dependent on delivery the day before. I would rather them do this than sell me a lie and it not arrive. Its this behaviour that makes me more loyal to a company.
I also called with a dilemma and asked for recommendations which I was given. I think it was Martin who helped me throughout.
The fitters used for the carpet and laminate were also fab.

Sheffield Queen’s Rd - polite service in store with no hard sell or up-sell, as I was only buying carpets for spare guest rooms and they understood I didn’t want to pay a lot for this. Also bought a bed base and mattress and then realised I already had a mattress! Didn’t blink an eye when I explained and asked for refund. Carpet fitters were also amazing, polite and efficient. A no nonsense experience all around and will definitely use again.

Poor fitting and ruined walls! - Queens Rd Sheffield
I had a carpet fitted on Monday 20/02 and I am so so disappointed by the end result. My freshly re plastered and painted walls have been scratched, dirtied and now look a mess. Black lines that I cannot get off now mean I have to re paint the entire wall again. There is even a chunk of plaster missing from my wall at the bottom of the stairs and x2 doorframes have had the wood chipped. And this is obvious! Not only that, the carpet has been fitted loosely in places and it just looks like a really rushed, shabby job. I worked so hard to decorate my home over the last 5 months and just cannot believe that this was allowed to happen.
I also just got off the telephone to the manager who did not even apologise. Poor service. Thankfully, the carpet fitter will be back to stretch out the carpet next week but no word has been said about the damage made on my paintwork and walls.
People take care of their homes and and this should not happen.
I will not be using United Carpets again.
To note - the in store staff who I met when buying the carpet were amazing! So lovely and friendly. Appreciated their help and great customer service.
