Convenient location , helpful staff and prompt measuring with a straight forward pricing with or without underlay given options for fitting dates and the fitter called early on the day so I wasn’t hanging about

I questioned the amount charged as I…
I questioned the amount charged as I did a calculation and thought that I was overcharged. The receipt wasn’t individualised, just a total. I got in touch by ‘contact us’ and never even got a reply. Very jovial twosome sales assistants but by their manner I could tell they were only interested in a sale, once they had that they quickly moved on. The carpet was good value and the independent fitter was brilliant. Would I use this company again? No I don’t think so

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your experience. After speaking with the store I understand you have already been in touch regarding this issue.
The ‘lump’ that you describe seems to be a fault in your subfloor (the concrete subfloor has a lump in it) which the independent fitter explained at the point of fitting. In addition to this you wished to reuse the previous underlay rather than replace it, which will also reduce the carpet’s ability to minimise the effect of the fault in the sub floor, as it will already be flatter than new underlay.
I understand that the independent fitter has already been in touch to try and gain access to the property, but you were not able to grant them that access.
We’re keen to ensure that you are happy with the outcome of your purchase with us. If you reach back out to the store they will be happy to discuss your options or explain the issue further.

Mattress was spot on but
Mattress was spot on. Good price but that delivery charge is a complete scam. Offering £30 to drop off the mattress which is just a 5ft thin box. Charging that money you make it seem like a full ready to go mattress when in reality it’d fit in anyone’s normal sized car with the seats down.

Lovely carpet, excellent fitting
The staff in the Queens Road Sheffield branch were helpful and friendly, advised on underlay and the pricing of different options. The carpet and vinyl were both special orders which took a bit longer than expected, and the communication could have been a bit better about that. It was straightforward to arrange a date for the fitters to come, but it would have been helpful to have been told the time slot to expect them, without having to call the shop to ask.
But these are very minor points which are far outweighed by the excellent quality of the products, very competitive price, and the overall very good service.

Not a pleasant experience and I will not be buying from them again unless their fitters stop demanding cash payments.
