Got exactly what I wanted and at a very good price.

I asked for top quality underlay because of the floor boards - said I’d pay. Guy said we’ll do it for free but I said no as it will be cheap stuff. He said he doesn’t use the cheap stuff. They’ve fit the lowest grade underlay possible and I can feel every floor board. I’m now going to have to pay another company to redo it all to get what I wanted.
Then the fitter started moaning about the job the moment he got here, if ya don’t like fitting carpets don’t be a carpet fitter.
Next, he’s gone and scratched my brand new 2 grand decorating on nearly every wall over 2 flights of stairs. I ain’t unreasonable, you’ll knock it once or twice but that many times is just a lack of attention.
Worst is, one of the doorway grabbers hasn’t been profiled to the frame, they just cut it short and left a 20mm square with sharp edges - would have taken 2 mins to fit properly.
I will never use these again.

I don’t appreciate your attempt to distance yourself from the poor quality service you did. I came to you for a service, how you fulfill that service is upto you. Contractors or not - the service you provided was poor.

Very helpful when choosing our carpet. Came out to measure promptly and the fitters were great. Carpet looks fab! Had carpets from here before and will definitely be coming back

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Purchased a good value for money carpet. Didn't request fitting but delivery was quick and within the given time frame. Have used in the past & would shop there again

A good choice of carpets and for a very reasonable price.
The carpet was fitted within days at a date convenient to me. The carpet fitter Martin was excellent, friendy and fitted my carpet in a very short time. Plus he cleaned up afterwards. I'm delighted with the service and my lovely carpet. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

Ordered bathroom flooring was told 7 days to come into store.Heard nothing for 2 weeks called them up was told there supplier sent email to explain delays, booked a fitting date on same phone call.Received another call a week or so later asking me to confirm the fitting day as they were unsure.
Eventually got fitting done,floor looked good and fitted nicely.
I would just say keep customer up to date with better communication.

Excellent quality and service
This is my fourth time of useing your company the staff have Excellent knowledge of all the products and also make you feel at easy when purchasing any product

I’d arranged for Andy to call me 30 minutes before he was going to measure our whole house but didn’t. He just went when workmen were there and assumed where we wanted laminate and carpet. They delivered the laminate as our joiner was fitting it but didn’t deliver the underlay we paid for or the door plates.
It was assumed that the bottom of our stairs would be laminated but we wanted it carpeted to match the stairs and it took us a couple of weeks for them to come back and finish it and fit the door plates.
We had several packs of laminate and a roll of underlay that was over measured and had to be returned. The refund had to be authorised by the manager and wasn’t guaranteed but he did agree to it; but this was their error in the first place as they had measured incorrectly.
I would not use these again or recommend them to anyone.

We had to give details to 2 people about the carpets we required, however they did have to come out and measure twice due to lack of instructions
Fitter didnt have edging straps required, put on instructions. Expected us to go and collect from shop for him.
A lot of back and forth calls between us, him and shop, made it pretty stressful. I was nervous he might leave the job as had paid upfront for fitting
Not as seamless a finish as last time, a few overlapping and short edges but daughter didn't want to pursue, was her house
Still not convinced this was the bathroom lino we chose but was left in place due to what had happened with fitting
The store owner was very kind and helpful when we were choosing carpets however and when measuring up

I had to chase them up to get a delivery date. When they did the flooring, they didn’t have the door bars that I was charged for. The carpet was fit using the grip rods that were already there, although I was charged for these. Also there was enough carpet left over that would have done another small room. Why was I charged for too much. The final result looks nice but a lot of chasing about and un-needed extra costing.

As always we are pleased with the carpet we bought from Barry, and a special mention to the carpet fitter who did a great job

The staff at crossgates are best of the bunch. Always chatty, friendly and extremely helpful. They give the luxury customer service feel. Excellent . Friendly lot, wouldn't shop anywhere else.

From looking at carpets and to actually buying one, the guys were very helpful and constructive with their suggestions, they also kept the carpet until our room was ready.
The carpet fitters were also excellent at their job.

The manger. This is the third time we have bought from you in 10 years. The manager is so knowledgeable. He treats one with respect and gives good advice

I've recently had a carpet installed through the company. The process was easy enough to get the measurement booking in and the quote arrived the sam day. Once it was paid for, I did need to call a couple of times for an update on when to expect the installation, but that's not a problem.

The company has a contracted fitter who was given clear instructions not to move a big piece of furniture on their own, due to it being the company policy, and that suited me too as it was important to me, too. i reiterated the request on the day, also because an old skirting board was still attached behind. Well, it was fully ignored and I came to find a carpet fitted behind that space, but once I removed the old skirting board, it revealed a big gap left with not enough carpet tucked in. When raised with the fitter as he was there, I was told not to worry, it'll be all covered by the new skirting board. No explanation as to why the request was ignored.
I rang and emailed photos to the United Carpets with a request of wha the course of action next is - and I was told that the fitter wasn't available to speak to for a few more days, but once they've discussed the matter they'll be in contact. And that was the last I heard from them. Very disappointing, considering the company was very quick to take the money, but not as quick to resolve a problem that would have been completely avoided, had the clear instruction was simply followed.
And my issue is more about the lack of follow up, not the fault as I'm sure the fault would have come to be resolved somehow.
it's a real shame, as hadn't it been for that lack of interest in solving what was known as a big problem for me, it would have been a 5 star.

I was very happy from start to finish. No pushy salesman, just happy to help when needed.
Fitter was bang on time too.

From going in to store, to having carpets fitted, all staff and carpet fitter were all very polite and friendly.
