Krackawheat - horrible
Omg, after many years I fancied some Krackawheat crackers, what a disappointment, a million miles away from what they were, bland, thin, lacking salt, completely tasteless, another brand ruined by cutting down on the original recipe, probably to cut costs. I certainly won't be buying these again, shame I bought 2 packs today on my previous experiences and probably won't finish them.
What on earth has happened to…
What on earth has happened to Krackawheat? Taste is so bland, texture has lost its ‘krack’ and the colour is grey. Not appealing or appetising at all. Very disappointed as there were no other crackers to match them.
Bought these a few months ago and they…
Bought these a few months ago and they were terrible. If not broken then a lot of them were not fully intact. The top of the sandwich cracker was loose, not attached to the bottom cracker with the very sparse cheese on it. Thought I would try again as they were on offer In Sainsbury’s but exactly the same thing again. Absolute waste of money.
Boring and soft
Bought a large box of their biscuits for cheese (branded under Jacob’s). They are truly terrible it seems they have two or three reasonable biscuits with some taste. The others are just cream crackers in different shapes. The most boring box of biscuits I’ve ever come across. Additionally a lot of the biscuits had no “snap” - they were soft. I won’t be buying again
McVities Krackawheat now made by Jacobs!!!
McVities Krackawheat now made by Jacobs and not at all like the original. These "New" Krackawheat by Jacobs are nowhere near the original by McVities and have very little taste. A big mistake changing a successful winning recipe that has ben around for years. I will not buy a Jacobs Krackawheat again and not for the price they are now asking. At least Richard Turpin wore a mask whilst robbing you. These fraudsters are trading on a good name and selling a vastly inferior product. Bloody spell checker won't even let you use the name of a famous highway robber.
Médiocre et mauvais pour la santé
De la me...de sans colorants écrivent-ils ni arômes artificiels... mais dans les sultana aux pommes il y a le E450 et plein d'autres me..des d'ingrédients. Eviter ce biscuit chimique...
They claim ‘no artificial colors or flavors’… but Sultana apple bars contain E450 and plenty of other crap ingredients. Don’t buy this garbage.
MIS-SELLING IS NOT A GOOD LOOK
Having now seen the One Star reviews, I am not surprised.
I have been purchasing Cheddars for years and, when they introduced the Red Leicester, I was sold and have been purchasing these for several years. Then it happened. United Biscuits have been selling Red Leicester labelled biscuits with ordinary cheddar biscuits inside. The odd one or two packs OK, anyone can make a mistake. However, each pack I have been opening labelled "Red Leicester" has not contained "Red Leicester".
First stop, write to United Biscuits Customer Service and advise them they have a problem with their plant. Customer Service, Zero. They have no customer service. They do not even have the courtesy of acknowledging my message.
So, from this day forth, any biscuit produced by United Biscuits - McVities, Jacbob's Cream Crackers, Hobnobs, Rich Tea, Carr's Crackers, Jaffa Cakes, Twiglets, to name but a few - will no longer be on my shopping list.
A company that sells mislabelled goods and continues to do so after they have been contacted, is not a company anyone should want to do business with.
Disappointed
What have Jacob done to Tuc biscuits? Just bought a new packet and they are horrible! Really thin, seem to have taken the salt off them, they are bland and like eating a piece of cardboard. Won't buy again.
Why have they changed Krackerwheat
Why have they changed Krackerwheat? It was the only tasty cracker on the market. The new style are awful. Dig biscuits
Haven't had krackerwheats for a while…
Haven't had krackerwheats for a while as I save buying them as a treat. I don't know what has happened, whether I got a bad batch or something but these are disgusting. I could have done a better job with a piece of cardboard and a hole punch. What's with the size of the holes now, I can literally use them as a cottage cheese sieve. The flavour is now bland and the texture is like cardboard. Will not be buying them again. In case it was a particular batch the code is 01 11 25 C 50921 15:3C
Wake up Jacobs
Wake up Jacobs, you have ruined krackawheat.
GO back to the original recipe if you want anyone to ever buy another packet of these once wonderful crackers.
Krackerwheat more like Krapperwheat
Krackerwheat more like Krapperwheat
I have bought 3 packs over a period of time, and the first time, I thought they must have just been out of date, had crispier and tastier cardboard. The second time, I wondered if it was a batch problem, and again binned them. Just opened a new packed from a premium store, only to find they are still horrible. Trades descriptions should be involved here, just not acceptable to use the good name for horrible biscuits
Another classic sacrificed at the altar…
Another classic sacrificed at the altar of Skimpflation. KrackaWheat - Not had a for a couple of years so hunted for them in the supermarket. Firstly - odd packaging, even the way they felt was wrong. Sure enough - all character removed to create a bland (cheaper to make, I am sure) product that is trading on historical goodwill.
Also - Streams of recent glowing 5* reviews on supermarket websites - all from Influenster.com customers. Artificially raising the positive review ratio.
Disgraceful
Krackawheat has changed to crap
Krackawheat has change to crap. How do I get a refund due to being sold a product using the name of a good product, fraud sale. These are not Krackawheat lost salt taste they are brittle and taste like cardboard. Let’s get these people charged for fraud
Richtea biscuits
Has anyone found so called Classic Richtea biscuits unpalatable, its like powdered milk and they stick to your teeth, what is wrong with this company, same goes for their dark chocolate biscuits, the chocolate has very little flavour now.
Very disappointed.
We have been a regular customer for ‘Carrs Table Water Biscuits’ for many years. However, recently we have discovered that the thickness of the biscuits have been reduced and almost impossible to spread butter on them before disintegrating. It would appear another example of downsizing.
Unfortunately, we will seek a good alternative.
What a decline Krockofsh*t
What a decline. Not sure why they still call Krackawheat by its original name, when it should just be renamed Krockofsh*t, with the new improved delicate taste and consistency of dried out cardboard. I bought a pack for old times sake. Don’t. Bother. Ever.
A word of warning..
A word of warning... If you are a lover of Twiglets and a pox on those that are not, please do not purchase this insult to the memory of festive seasons past. Jacob's, in their misguided wisdom, have completely f***ed up this once glorious treat. In an attempt to make them 'healthier' they have completely destroyed the original flavour and turned them into what can only be described as burnt rubber on a stick. It's a shame that so many of these will be purchased just to find out how absolutely revolting they are. Jacob's should hang their collective heads in shame for perpetrating this abomination on the British public. So, people, you have been warned.
McVities/United Biscuits
McVities/United Biscuits ? do we no longer have UK Manufacturer ? as now all part of Pladis imported in from Netherlands,France and Belgium do they have a quality control ?
Bring back our UK good quality biscuits something else we have lost in our industry? not to mention as a country trying to reduce Carbon Footprint ?
I have again purchased Fruit Shortcake and still very disappointed over cooked, and do not taste the same McVities/United Biscuits will not buy again like all other biscuits now eg. Malted Milk/Arrowroot etc etc.
Hovis crackers are revolting under United Biscuits
To answer 'How can the company improve promp', the company United Biscuits who now makes Hovis Crackers and Crackerwheat crackers can wake up and listen to the endless disappointment consumers. They have ruined these biscuits which are now revolting, stale tasting and high in sugar. When you complain they jnstantly offer a voucher but i would much rather have the original recipe adhered to than a refund. That would be a result for the company too but they are not interested that they haved ruined a popular product, only in profit
