Our stay at The Viewing Gallery on Cornwall's north coast was nothing short of exceptional - in all aspects a five star stay - will definitely book again. The location overlooking the sea and the beach was stunning - drinks on the deck were a joy, the hot tub was fun and I was impressed that as we arrived (a little early) it was being serviced with fresh water etc. The house itself was immaculate and beautifully designed so a pleasure to spend time in whilst the walks along the coastal path were breathtaking. Everyone was very happy. Perfect break for a family holiday.

The Cable Hut/Cottage is absolutely charming - we had planned to visit some other places on the Pembrokeshire coast but the area around us meant that we didn’t need to move the car once! We got into a routine of a fabulous cliff walk in the morning that took us past the Woollen Mill for coffee and then spent afternoons either on the beach or up in the summer house! We’ve booked again next year so that kind of says it all!

I stayed in the Walled Garden for 10 days in early September. Recently, I’ve been wondering about renting or buying a country house, but I realised that it's the garden that interests me, not the house. Staying in this property, therefore, was a sort of experiment for me – could I rent somewhere and get to experience gardens this amazing? The answer to that question was yes. It was possible to rent somewhere with an incredible garden and enjoy the wonderfulness of it while staying there.

A few years ago I was looking round a garden with a famous garden designer. At some point he stopped and asked "how does this make you feel when you're here?" The Walled Garden is a place where you feel wonderful. There's the nicest tennis court I've ever played on, and a natural outdoor pool that's one of the best places I've ever swum. The whole garden environment is beautifully done - I cannot imagine a nicer garden to stay in.

Kate, the owner and host, could not have been nicer - you're staying somewhere where you are made to feel very welcome. She is a design genius, and so it's not just someone's garden that they've knocked together; it has been made by someone with a deep talent for design. Literally everything there was done with beautiful English taste. Colour of cushions to the tree planted next to the wall — everything lovely.

The house itself is a modest two-bedroom place, but the sheets are lovely, spotlessly clean, everything works, and it's a cosy little place to stay. It also feels very secure - you have to go through big gates, so it's also extremely private. A garden this nice requires a lot of work, so you're sort of sharing the garden with the people working on it as well as the owners - it's big enough that you don't really notice, but there are people around.

The warmer outdoor natural pool is available between 8am and 12pm, and if you want it other times you need to prearrange – this is very easy to do but something to consider.

The location is amazing – you are literally on the Cotswold Way. You are constantly surrounded by the most beautiful scenery in England. The views, the countryside, the quietness – you are just drinking from this deep bucket of loveliness.

Despite how quiet and peaceful it is, it's a short distance from the M4 and a short drive into both Bath and Bristol, so you can easily enjoy the beautiful things those two places have to offer. There are also a lot of really great restaurants nearby including two pubs within 5–10 minutes' drive away, and they're in the top 1% of pubs to eat and hang out in.

Honestly, whatever you're paying is less than you could easily be paying. Don't think of it as renting an expensive two-bedroom cottage - think of it as experiencing one of the loveliest gardens in England, in one of the loveliest places in the world.

This is a wonderful house with an amazing garden - the house is incredibly well stocked with the comfiest beds for everyone! We loved the hot tub and the sauna! We loved walking to the beach! So many great things to do locally too!

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we weren’t able to make our stay. However, the team at Unique Homestays went above and beyond to try to rebook the property and arrange a partial refund, which we hugely appreciated.

The communication and flexibility were excellent throughout. We’re definitely looking forward to booking again and hopefully getting to experience the property properly next time!

Pepper Shack is one of the loveliest holiday destinations I’ve been to: it has been intelligently conceived, tastefully decorated and is extremely comfortable. It was all so pleasant and restful, that I felt the city to be an assault on the senses when I returned. Simply put, I’m plotting a return journey as soon as possible.

We thoroughly enjoy every stay at Unique Homestay properties and we have done four. The team is attentive and on top of everything, and the property feels immaculate without ever being pretentious. We always feel completely comfortable and never feel like we have to compromise because we travel with our two medium-sized dogs.

Aurora was the perfect setting for a romantic short stay to celebrate our 30th Anniversary last week.

The beautiful sandy beach nearby. The beautiful decor and comfy bed. Hot tub and all the facilities we needed. We were sad to leave.

Tempted to return one day. The weather made it but it would also be stunning throughout the year. Thankfully we found a parking spot in the nearby parking bay.

The property was amazing, with some incredible views and right on the cliff. The management with unique stays also great. I would have not looked for anything better for my holidays with my family.

Morwell in the heart of the beautiful Tamar Valley is a magical place to stay. Our party of eight fell in love with this simply fabulous farmhouse with its own orchard and swimming pool. The toughest decision of the day was whether to actually leave it to visit a variety of locations in the area. Thank you Unique Homestays for introducing us to the property, and a holiday in Cornwall which will remain a wonderful memory for years to come.

We stayed at the Smokehouse Cottage in Pembrokeshire in August. We are a family of 4 with two kids aged 11 and 15 and one dog. The house and annexe are gorgeous. Really beautifully styled and so comfortable and well equipped. The beds are comfy and its silent at night. The beach is stunning and so quiet - its like paradise. we swam and hung out on the beach then bar b q'd and watched the sunset and the bats. Loved it. Watching the sunset from the raised platform is gorgeous we were even here to watch the eclipse whish was cool. The hottub and meals outside are great. Only small things to note - one of the double bedrooms is very bright so bring a blackout blind if you want it dark. The annexe is gorgeous but gets hot when its sunny so wish we'd brought a fan. But the whole place was heaven and Dan was on hand whenever we needed any help.

This was a 3 generational get together and all of us from 80 to 20 months loved it: the house was very comfortable and easy to be in, as was the bothy. Everyone loved the hot tub (wood fired) and the sauna but the most special thing was the location and being so close to the river and all its wildlife. The kingfishers were particularly exciting. Newport is a lovely little town and the array of beaches was fantastic. UHS looked after us very well and were very responsive to any queries. Lovely place.

We stayed at Muse for 10 nights and wished we had booked longer. It was the perfect out of the way place for a couple to relax. The layout was spacious and thoughtfully designed with everything we needed. It was as also a delightfully cool spot in this summer of heat. Unique Homestays make the booking process straightforward and clear.

My husband and I spent a wonderful week’s holiday at the Walled Garden residence in Dyrham. The property is charming and enjoys an ideal location, not only because of the beautiful surrounding countryside – perfect for pleasant walks – but also because it allows you to visit numerous fascinating destinations just a short drive away, first and foremost the spectacular Dyrham Park (National Trust), situated just a stone’s throw from the property. The ‘Walled Garden’ also offers the chance to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday in close contact with nature, in a rural yet very refined setting.
The owner, Mrs Kate – a very friendly and extremely helpful person – provided us with further recommendations, in addition to those already contained in the comprehensive ‘House Book’, on places to visit and restaurants to dine at.
We cannot recommend a holiday in this little corner of paradise highly enough!

We recently booked with Unique Home stays and it was refreshing to be able to just pick the telephone up and speak with someone rather than just emails back and fourth. Hannah was very helpful and great to deal with. We were a family of 12 ranging in age from 5-83 years. Isolde proved to be the perfect fit for all ages with both the Northern and southern Coastal beaches in reach within 25-30 mins. The property was beautiful and finished to an extremely high standard. On arrival we were met by Jeanette ( the owner ) who was very welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. The pool and games room were a hit with the children and the hot tub and gardens with the adults.

Thank you for an unforgettable stay in Aphrodite (The Old Chapel). From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the incredible location and the magnificent view. The peaceful atmosphere and natural surroundings perfect to fully unwind. Enjoying breakfast and evening meals al fresco surrounding by such stunning scenery, long walks along the coast under glorious sunshine became a cherished part of our daily routine. The splendid weather combined with the comfort and quality of the accomodation truly made a perfect holiday. We leave this special place with wonderful memories. Excellent cottage, facilities were better than expected. Location was great with nice walks across the dunes. We stayed at the Pig after and wished we’d stayed at Little portion longer.

The location, and cottage is so private and every morning to be woken by the sparkling ocean and breathtaking views made it the most incredible experience.
