I ended up buying 2 cars from The World…
I ended up buying 2 cars from The World of Cars. 1 that was returned within a week and the second car which I have experienced 2 issues with.
The first car was a Peugeot 2008 (SD17 XDZ). My friend and I picked up this car together which was a 3 hour drive. The car wasn’t ready as it hadn’t been valeted so we waited for around 30 minutes for it to be completed, this didn’t really bother us but, upon driving the car back home, 50 minutes before the end of our journey several warning lights came up on the dash which indicated an AdBlue fault. I advised The World of Cars who asked me to take it to my local garage which I did. The garage diagnosed there being a significant issue with the AdBlue system and would need to be completely changed. A quote of £2000 was given.
I then went back to The World of Cars to tell them this, they basically said they wouldn’t pay for the repairs so to return the car back to them and choose another car. They went onto say that they would just put the car through auction as it wouldn’t be worth them repairing it due to there not being much profit in it for them now. I wasn’t too happy with this but I agreed. I chose another vehicle and it was arranged for the Peugeot to be collected and the new vehicle to be brought to me.
What I do find very surprising now though, after being told they wouldn’t fix the vehicle that it is now back on their website for sale (I advise anyone looking at this car to be extremely careful and ask for proof that the work has been carried out to a good standard).
It’s also worth noting that I paid £54 for the diagnostic on the vehicle and my requests for this to be refunded have been ignored.
Now, onto the second vehicle. This is a Vauxhall Astra 1.6 cdti. A few weeks after buying the car, the car went into limp mode. I emailed The World of Cars who ignored my emails. Because I was desperate for my car to be in working order, I bought a cheap diagnostic tool which pointed me to an issue with the MAP sensor, I replaced this (it cost around £44 for the sensor) fitted it myself and that resolved the issue.
2 weeks ago, the cars clutch failed. I emailed The World of Cars who quite frankly were useless (again) but, I eventually got them to agree to override the £1000 limit on my warranty claim.
My dealing with the warranty company was positive however.
My car is back up and running again but, I have lost faith in The World of Cars, ability to provide a reliable vehicle and would warn others to shop elsewhere.
If you have read until the end, I apologise for the long review but would like to warn others of my experience.

The car broke down AGAIN, leading me to pay £305.
I will be starting Court proceedings to recover the costs.

Update on my evoque from world of cars purchased five months ago obviously before purchase they had done a service list oil leak gearbox differential oil leak ofs front arm rear bush etc coolant leak etc all work done n repaired constantly had coolant issue got gobbled off repaired myself now two weeks ago the clutch failed on today's diagnostic differential leak gearbox box leak seals gone Yet this is the work they claimed to have done gaskets gone etc now it turns out that the seals they claimed to have replaced are actually obsolete n while the garage was telling me this diagnostic I was also informed ofs front wishbone bolt and a bush is also bolloxed So world of cars how do you explain all of that TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE BRAKES COULD HAVE FAILED STEERING ENGIE DAMAGE N MUCH MORE COULD HAVE OCCURRED DUE TO THIS MY CAR IS NOW BEEN THOROUGHLY CHECKED OVER YOU ARE CERTAINLY ACCOUNTABLE AND WILL BE HEARING FROM ME ONCE I HAVE ALL DETAILS AND YES CHRIS YOU PRETEND TO BE NICE N FRIENDLY UNTIL ANY ISSUES ARISE THEN BECOME A OBNOXIOUS RUDE PERSON IS IS NOT THE END OF THIS I ASSURE YOU

Biggest set of lying scam merchants I’ve ever had the displeasure of coming across. I’ve definitely not got a good word to say about them. Sold a pile of crap that has constantly broken down. Didn’t keep to the warranty they agreed on. Believe me I could carry on and on about this so called company
Ignore most of your messages. Even the main management when putting in complaints are useless. They Bullshit as well as try n cover their asses. Lie about repairs or certain part replacement etc. had coolant issues. Brake problems. Suspension problems and clutch problems. Yet sod all sarted out through the so called warranty. How the hell this company is still trading is beyond me. They need putting out of business. I hope you read this post. You scammed me and my partner big time

Apathetic | Unresponsive | No Customer Service
I was staggered at how apathetic the staff were throughout my attempted purchase.
I put a deposit down on a vehicle and was told it would be ready “early next week” (6 days).
Repeatedly calling for updates; on the odd occasion the phone was answered, nobody knew what was going on or called me back. When we did speak to them it was “part hasn’t arrived”, “wrong part” or “it’s not sorted”.
Four weeks later they said they couldn’t make it road ready, cancelled the sale and then took over a week to refund the deposit.
Sent me on my way… without selling me a car or even trying to. Didn’t even try to offer me an alternative and only Lisa out of all the staff actually apologised.
Avoid at all costs

Untrustworthy
I got a car which was great, wasn't a quick or simple process but i got it. However, I part exchanged my car which has a final settlement figure owed on it.
Weeks later, World of Cars still haven't settled the balance. Now I have the dealership chasing me for this payment when World of Cars should have already dealt with this.
I've sent a message to the sales executive I was dealing with, has he replied to provide an answer as to why they haven't sorted the settlement on the part X? Nope. I wouldn't trust this dealer, I'll change my review if and when they get back to me and and if and when they sort it

If I could also give Zero on this I would! I brought a car from Rugby World of cars and the dealer could not have been nicer, however I was urged via several texts to leave a positive review from the first day of receiving the car. Within the space of a three months the Turbo went and i lost power plus other serious issues reared their ugly head and so in the first instance I rang Rugby dealer. it was as if a personality switch had taken place! He disputed all claims and was rude! There was no offer of replacement whilst dispute got sorted out and its taken a lot of photos, letters, and a Recovery plus a diagnostic to get the process of rejecting the car and monies refunded. Its now turned into a long winded nightmare as I have no car to get to work! The stress over logistically getting to places as I live countryside has been horrendous!
