Took my mums Rotary watch for a repair...charged £50 for the repair, took it back as issue with winder, was told the problem was with the movement, so they offered a half price service for another £39.95.
I wasn't prepared to pay out again.
I took it to a Jeweller in Gorgie, who fixed the problem for £3.50, and incidentally would only have charged £34 to fully service the watch.
Will not be using the watch hub again.

Save yourself being ripped off and go elsewhere!!
I was shocked when I asked for a quote to replace a Tag F1 watch battery at Cribbs Causeway. The guy looked at the watch and muttered £90; I asked nine zero! He nodded and took the watch and said 30 min; I politely declined and went on Amazon and ordered a tool to remove the back which was £6; once the back was open I googled the battery which was replaced and fitted there 3 years prior, the watch battery was £2.99 for a twin pack and took 30 sec to replace, the watch seals were all good so I gave it a gentle wipe with the other tools in the kit; get that!!!!!
The job was so simple, no wonder they can afford to stay there and pay their rent. It’s absolutely disgusting, I hope you go bust Richard Turpin!

Steve from the watch lab stepped to the mark after my previous negative review and the watch was delivered yesterday. It was 4 months later. During the extended time the watch was being serviced I lost weight, and needed a link removed from the bracelet. I went to Timpsons, a sister company, to have the link removed they quoted, nearly £30 to remove the pin as it was an Omega. It was a bracelet link removal with no relevance to the watch make. I refused to pay the charge, went home, ordered a £12 kit from Amazon and changed the link in 5 minutes. BANDITS

I was told by a different shop in Chester, that I would need to send this away to have strap fixed.
Called in, waited 10 minutes and watch strap was repaired. Excellent price.

Very poor customer services giving the excuse they were taken over my timpsons. The heat till roll had faded badly but you could see just what was on the receipt. Date stamped with a proper ink stamp. This company say that due to them being taken over, the lifetime warranty on the watch was not valid now.. they were expensive in the first place... This was in the county mall, Crawley.. it went soon after I got the battery replaced. Never to come back

The watch was handed over and I was given an estimate and a time to return, unless I received a text. I did indeed get a text 30 mins before the 'go back time'. Only half the work needed doing so they charged me half. Very honest and polite guys

Knowing this gem is in Colchester is fantastic, normally weeks worth of waiting for a battery change is nailed down to an hour at Fenwick.. With exactly the same methods and accreditation! Highly recommend these lovely local professionals :)

I sent a vintage Avia ladies' 9ct gold watch and gold link strap for assessment as it had not worked for years. My mother bought the watch for my 18th in 1967 for £22. I was supposed to have the gold strap as well but my father had become unemployed due to illness so I waited a few years for the strap to be added, after my mother had saved the money. A watch of sentimental value. The cost for repair was quoted at £215.
Watch arrived, beautifully packaged. Went to put it on but one hand was rolling around in the glass. Sent it back. Suggestion was that it had been shaken off in transit!
Received watch. Put it on for 24 hours to check it. It fell off my wrist in pieces after a couple of hours. The inside works, all out of the watch case and on the ground. The glass fallen out too.
Decided it must be a fluke. Put it back together. Later it was working fine so...
Put the watch on another time. Fine for several hours then - it all fell off my wrist again in pieces. Began to inspect the watch. The back was no longer tight on the case and rocked back and forth about the spindle. And, I noticed a dent in the back casing which was never there before and is not to be seen in the original photo of the watch which I had been required to supply. The dent could only have come from someone missing the removal groove and hitting the case instead whilst removing the back.
Very crossly sent it back yet again. Received message that the dent had been corrected and the back tightened.
Received watch back. The back appears tight but the dent is still just the same. I haven't yet tried wearing it and have wound it to see if it's still going in 24 hours. (It's the old fashioned mechanical type of watch). Having a dent on the back of a watch affects its value and this is a solid gold watch. I had hoped to leave a perfect behind me. I'm 76 and not in great health now. No compensation or even official apology offered.
I am not happy at all with this company and obviously would never use them again.
