Staff friendly, spacious and neat

After arriving at the venue, we were told there would be “a slight delay due to the previous party running over”. After 20 mins no one had given us a further update, so I asked a member of staff who said they’d find out. After a further 10 mins, I asked again, to be told the party host was just filling juice jugs. A further 10 mins and I noticed the party host chatting to members of staff, with no intention of starting our party. I enquired again, to be told he wasn’t aware there was another party. So after waiting 40 mins, I had to persuade them to start the party. I walked the 15 boys up to the laser tag area. There was NO safety briefing. I have attended this venue before so I’m aware of the briefing and rules that should be given BEFORE entering the “battle zone”. I had to assist the boys in getting into the vests whilst the host stood and watched. As the boys entered, the host told me I should wait downstairs. I offered to stay, but was told to go downstairs and wait.
After 20 mins, 2 of the boys came running downstairs, still wearing their vests and guns, to say a boy had been hurt. I went upstairs to investigate to find one of the boys covered in blood and still bleeding from his mouth. There didn’t seem to be anyone with first aid knowledge taking charge of the situation. Just a guard with a paper napkin filled with ice.
We were then told that the party couldn’t continue as the boys broke the rules. I asked what rules had been broken? As we weren’t given any rules, or had a safety briefing. The host said they wouldn’t keep to their own sides and some were running.
After further investigation I discovered that the boys had been left alone in the arena, while the host stood in the gun room. The boy that was hurt accidentally hit in the face with a gun. As no adult was in the room, the boys had to escort their injured friend in the dark to the gun room.
They agreed to let the boys continue the remaining 20 mins of their game as long as I stayed with them and we had to wait for a new party host as “his shift was over”. The new host was actually really nice. After the game we went downstairs for food. I asked a member of staff if they knew how long the pizzas would be? They assured me they were in the oven. It must be the slowest oven ever, because after 20 mins there was no sign of the pizzas, so I asked again. I was told they’d ran out of small pizzas, so they had to do bigger ones. I thought they were in the oven?? 10 mins later they brought out a third of the pizzas. It was a further 15 mins before any more appeared. Then another 15 mins the final batch appeared. I thought the idea of booking a party was that the children could sit and eat together. I also had to hand out the pizzas. Then after some of the children had left they finally brought out a tray of chips. For what was supposed to be a hassle free party, it was a lot of hassle.
I’m really disappointed as I’d booked a party at this venue a few years previously and had a fantastic experience. I felt sorry for the 1 member of staff who actually seemed to be working. I will be logging a formal complaint and investigation into the incidents.

Was placed next to a rowdy stag group and we had 10 children they were drunk inappropriate and smashing bottles and glasses
Groups of teenage lads running about causing issues
The staff who were on were lovely but as a company you are letting them down

Great deal on Tuesday, 50% off games and selected drinks and food! Great value for money and all of the staff were helpful and pleasant! Will definitely be going back.

I’m really not happy, I booked a party at the laser quest arrived at 12:50pm for the party to start, booked in and then at 1:20 a staff meme er came to me saying that my party was supposed to start at 1pm and now late and would over run the next party. Nobody said anything to me when biking in at 12:50pm. I then heard the said staff member offering the other party free games and bowling to compensate my party being in theirs. Nothing was offered to me. After the game, food was delivered and nobody came over to even check on us. Very depot ted and will not be booking again as it was not a “party” experience

We arrived 15 mins before the game was due to start we checked in the girls needed shoes we were made to wait 20 mins whilst someone looked for the shoe sizes and when they inally brought out they were the incorrect sizes and told its ok wear them they should be ok. The staff were not helpful at almost they didnt want to be there. Then we arrived at the lanes the tables were dirty with rubbish everywhere again had to ask staff to clean the mess. I wont be going there again.

Staff was great however I paid £45 for two games and it was over and done in half an hour . I feel this is very expensive for half hour of an activity

Great place played 2 games of bowls - went in the arcade . It has recently been renovated and has so much on offer . Darts karaoke rooms , escape rooms, laser tag .
Was clean staff pleasant.

Brilliant and so was the staff

We went for the 60 mins play with pizza deal. Pizza was great, 60 mins play means we had enough time to really enjoy the game. Everything was great, atmosphere, staff friendly and helpful too. The only issue was we felt the pizza arrived a little late. It arrived towards the end of the hour and my children were getting a bit hungry waiting. I appreciate that's just our preference to eat sooner and others may not want their food straight away. Other than that, no notes!

When we arrived we was greeted the staff that work there which were friendly and polite, we had a party host who kept the children entertained throughout the party and provided refreshments and food all in all everyone had a great time and we will be back again

Tenpin Rochdale has a had a refurb - it looks great. We took 10 kids and 4 adults for a great, good value morning of fun in the school holiday. The offer came with a meal deal, which was basic, but the kids scoffed the lot. As a community group looking for local activities, we'll certainly be back. Thanks

We would have happily given this 5 stars if it hadn’t been for a bit of a hiccup with the party setup. We booked our son’s birthday party at Laser Quest, and as there were several parties running back-to-back, it was understandably very busy. Unfortunately, the party space allocated to us wasn’t cleared from the previous group in time, and we couldn’t find staff straight away to sort it. In the end, I stepped in and cleared it myself so things could keep moving.

That said, the kids had an amazing time. They absolutely loved the laser tag—the arena is really well set up, and the live scoreboard was a big hit. The food was decent, as you’d expect from party catering, and it was good to see allergies were catered for. The pizzas were on the smaller side though—fine for younger children, but not quite enough for our group of 10-year-olds.

Once we did catch up with staff, they were helpful and attentive, especially with the kids, which we appreciated. Overall, despite the initial issue, it wouldn’t put us off coming back again.

We celebrated my son’s 10th birthday at Tenpin and had such a fantastic time. It was a brilliant day with family and friends all joining in, and there was something for everyone to enjoy.

The bowling was great fun, and the kids especially loved the laser quest and arcades—they were entertained the entire time. The food and drinks were good, and it was nice to be able to relax while everything was taken care of in one place.

The staff were really friendly and helpful throughout, which made the whole experience even better. We ended up staying all afternoon because there was just so much to do.

Overall, it was a perfect birthday celebration, and we’d definitely come back again.
