We had such a good time at Tenpin Bowling at Parrs Wood! 🎳 Definitely worth the money and a great way to spend a couple of hours, especially if you’ve got wild children who need to burn off some energy 😂. There’s plenty going on, so they’re kept entertained and busy rather than getting bored after five minutes. The bowling was really fun for both adults and kids, and it’s something everyone can get involved in regardless of age or ability. We had lots of laughs, the kids loved it, and we’d definitely come back again. Really good value for a fun family day out!

Daughters 11th birthday party…
My daughter had her 11th birthday party at Tenpin ParrsWood on Sunday 30th August. Your members of staff Charlie and Katie were absolutely amazing. They engaged the children with games and dancing but were also incredibly efficient and professional . Without those 2 ladies it would have been a totally different experience. Charlie and Katie’s enthusiasm was infectious, they managed to appeal to all age groups present (there were at least 3 parties running at the same time) and it is down to them that we had such a fabulous time. Thank you very much Charlie and Katie. If your company runs any reward and or award system these 2 ladies should receive the highest accolade!

Long wait time to get a lane.
Barely any staff.
Lots of unhappy customers.
Very long wait on the QR bar services to lanes.
Very dirty, food on the floor, toilets very dirty and looked like they haven't been cleaned in a long time.

A pleasant afternoon at tenpin
Enjoyable-bit of a queue to check in but otherwise everything went smoothly-except I lost and think lane 2 has a slight bend to the left but that’s probably my excuse for losing!

The place was absolutely filthy
The place was absolutely filthy. Sofas and tables next to the lanes were full of spilled drinks and other people’s rubbish. The handful of staff working were rushed off their feet. It was only 6pm on a weeknight. Suggests more staff are needed. Food was truly atrocious too. Won’t be back.

Safety concerns …
We have brought grandchildren bowling for many years and are bringing more grandchildren later this week. Unfortunately when we were there last week the people using the lane next to us made me worry for my grandchildren’s safety. They were totally misusing the bowling balls. My concern is that they were not advised by staff on the correct way to bowl for everybody’s safety, including their own . This has never happened before. I wonder whether there was a shortage of staff on that day.

Staff were fantastic. Really helpful and kept kids occupied while we were waiting for the karaoke room to be fixed by technician.

When booking the lane
When booking the lane, it wasn’t clear to us that it would reset at one hour exactly.
Whilst putting in bowler information, we had to was for it to be reset as some rig went wrong which took a few minutes and after the hour, even though 3 of out party still had to take a last turn, the lane reset and the games were missed.
As we did this in age order, it was the children who missed the last turn and they got quite upset. It was not made clear that we had one hour exactly to complete.
