Absolute disgrace

Absolute disgrace. They washed my car after a recall check and ruined my plastics.
They ignored my emails for 14 days and then offered to look at it, not send someone to me, me go to them, more time away from my business bit something they have done?? What happened to service.
I also forked out £70 on taxis to get me there when they took it in, because, they wouldn't give me a courtesy car? Again, for something that they did wrong when they made the car in the first place!

It all started so well

It all started so well. Evie in the sales office was excellent and showed us the Range Rover Sport we were interested in, and we had a test drive, which went well. Evie is a real enthusiast about the cars. We agreed a price and a trade in, and the deal was done.
Having collected the car a few days later we expected it to be 100%, but random faults kept appearing - missing door seals, missing load space cover, a whistling noise at higher speeds, a broken air vent, too much air in the tyres, and most worrying of all, a persistent "Low coolant level" warning on the dash, about every 100 miles. It was obvious that the pre-delivery checks hadn't been carried out, and it appeared that recent servicing was merely an oil change. A call to the dealer got sympathy and a promise that someone from "Service" would call me, however they didn't and I had to chase them to even get an appointment for the repairs, which couldn't be done for 3 weeks. Eventually the car was repaired, and seems ok now. We're hoping it stays that way, but don't expect the much vaunted pre-delivery checks to find any faults before you buy a car from these people, they don't do the checks and leave you to find the faults.

There’s no knowledge of the females…

There’s no knowledge of the females that work there. I sent my car in for mot which failed. Long story short. Now I’m paying 220 pounds for the window washer light to come off because it won’t go away. That’s not all. My mot doesn’t run out until 25 of January. And some incompetent woman is telling me I can’t collect my car until it’s passed. Which is absurd because I still have mot!!!!! And caused inconvenience over the weekend.

My Range Rover was advertised at 10,000…

My Range Rover was advertised at 10,000 miles, within few days I was told it was 12950 so I sighed and transferred the money - FULL amount so technically the car was mine … I then received the below email one day before collection.
From Land Rover:
I've had the car prepared for you but I have noticed that it has done 13458 miles rather than the 12950 I originally thought. As well as the full tank of diesel we have agreed would you like me to get you a rubber boot mat to offset the additional mileage?

It has been two months, I have emailed the company several times to see where the boot liner is, mostly ignored … this isn’t going away because I do not feel like I was treated fairly.

UPDATE 3rd February 2025
I followed the advice given on Trustpilot and I wrote to the specified email address. I received no reply. 3 weeks later (last week) I followed it up - no reply. It will be a month on Wednesday.

I PAID for a vehicle with a mileage X and a day before I collected the vehicle I was advised that the mileage was 508 miles more ! The boot liner is supposed to offset the commercial devaluation not to mention that this company took what was PAID FOR vehicle and drove 508 miles within 2 weeks. It has been 3 months and I still haven’t received the boot liner.

Beware of this company, if you pay for a vehicle in full, go and get the car immediately otherwise they will use it and you will end up with a commercial loss.

I still want my boot liner because I feel they stole from me at this point!

Customer service needs improving!

Customer service needs improving!
Trying to book my vehicle in for a fault under warranty, rang at 9:30am told I would get call back within the hour. After calling again at 2pm eventually got a call back - the earliest is I can get my vehicle booked in is over 2 weeks away but if I want a courtesy car then it's mid October!
Was told they are very busy and I'm lucky I could have been waiting 6 weeks!
Very disappointing

Absolutely disgusting customer service…

Absolutely disgusting customer service in the service centre
I was contacted by Land Rover due to a recall on my car. the gentleman on the phone was lovely said we will clean your car afterwards and make you a drink. Nothing!!
I couldn’t wait to get out of there the atmosphere so was dull including the staff.
Went to the nearby shops while i waited for the call to say it was completed.
When I went to collect I did ask I thought I was having my car cleaned!! to the reply of “no I thought you wanted to go”
I wouldn’t mind but I travelled 17 miles to get there and back in early morning traffic
NOT HAPPY 😡

DON'T BUY FROM HERE

DON'T purchase an Approved vehicle from this dealership.
My vehicle was delivered with the door card hanging off, broken wing mirror, sweets stuck down the side of the seats, filthy dirty inside and engine compartment, previous owners CD still in player, previous owners personal information on infotainment system. New engine and turbo's after less than 4000 miles.
Just found out the vehicle had unrecorded damage poorly repaired to front bumper, front wing, front nearside door, rear nearside door.
Ignore the Used Approved advertising.
THEY ignore it, no 165 point check done on this car.
Jaguar and Stratstone Nottingham are not interested in putting the bodywork right.
DON'T DO IT GO ELSEWHERE

Poor after sales service

I contacted Jag for what I thought was a very simple request. I’m after a copy of my service history as I want to sell my vehicle. I contacted Jag and was told that this was online. I’ve been online and my service carried out in July 2020 isn’t on there. I’ve spoke with several different call centres but I keep being told that I need to speak with the service centre. I’ve tried to ring the service centre but I can’t get through.

Disappointing Service



I recently visited Stratstone Jaguar for a health check on my Jaguar E Pace, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Despite having generally positive encounters with the dealership in the past, this particular visit was marred by subpar service.

After the inspection, I was informed that my vehicle required another DPF filter, which came as an unexpected inconvenience. Prior to bringing in my car, I had been assured over the phone that any issues related to the previously repaired part, if arisen within the warranty period, would be covered. However, upon collection, I was informed otherwise. Disappointingly, despite being promised a follow-up regarding my complaint, nearly two weeks passed without any communication from the dealership.

After persistent attempts to reach out, I finally spoke with a representative who exhibited a dismissive and patronising demeanor. Rather than addressing my concerns with professionalism and empathy, I was met with a suggestion that I should consider not purchase a diesel vehicle next time, which was both unhelpful and disrespectful.

Overall, the lack of transparency, delayed response, and dismissive attitude regarding warranty coverage left me deeply dissatisfied with my experience at Stratstone Jaguar. As a customer, I expect better communication and accountability, especially when it comes to warranty matters. It is my hope that by sharing this feedback, improvements can be made to enhance the overall customer experience at Stratstone Jaguar.

Contacted these guys looking an E-pace

Contacted these guys looking an E-pace, they was very slow to reply, little did I realise this would get worse.... So after asking for a quote giving all my part exchange information.... Nothing... No response, no answer to emails.... Neither the sales lady or the manager have bothered to reply to me... No quote, the car I enquired on has now gone up in price by £2000.... Not that it matters as they clearly don't want to sell a car.....

I am absolutely disgusted with the…

I am absolutely disgusted with the service of this organisation!!! When my dad was alive he bought an F-Type and arranged this with Martyn Pearce one of the salesman who he has done business with for the last 16 years, even when he was at the Derby branch. Dad had been diagnosed with Mesothelioma lung cancer and at the time of buying Martyn discussed how mum would be well looked after when the inevitable happened. They would buy back his car as it’s still very new. As some know dad passed away on the 13/9. So on 24/9 mum went for a face to face meeting with Martyn to discuss what would happen to dads F-type. She was told that there was 1k equity for her and all they needed to work out was if they should pay mum the 52.988k or pay in to the lender. Mum was told to get the new v5 and she should change the number plate. They would contact her this week to arrange for this to be finalised on Thurs or Friday.
To their word mum received a call from Martyn this morning but instead telling her to come down she was told that thy would not be taking the car back due to higher management telling them they need to sell the second cars that they all ready have before taking any more on, and advised her to sell it on webuyanycar.com
So as you can imagine I had a very upset and distraught mother!,
I left work at lunchtime and drove to Nottingham,
On arrival Martyn was with a couple of chaps so went to sit in the waiting are. The very kind front of house lady asked me numerous times if I would like a coffee as at this point 30mins had gone by!
A few minutes later he was free so I set my iwatch to record, and walked over and shook his hand and introduced myself. I said to him that I believe we have a problem to his reply yes and just told me what he told mum. I wasn’t buying it so he slithered off to get his manager. Think his name was Ben!? They really didn’t talk to each other due contradicting each other. Now this chap told me that they were told on the 1st of September they shouldn’t buy and more stock before they had sold what they had. So my question is…. why the hell was mum not told that when she there a few weeks before? After listening to so much rubbish that was flowing out this man’s mouth I had to leave.
Not only am I now more than happy to sell dads F-type on my own but also mums F-Pace and our family will no longer doing any more business absolute disgrace of a business.
At a time when she needed them the most they have totally let her down.

Disappointing car, care and experience

Bought a used I Pace at end of April 2023, unfortunately I don't get to drive it as its usually in their garage. It died after 6 days and took several days to sort. Its now been in for a further 4 weeks (traction battery issues) with no end in sight, they can't get the parts? I've asked to swap the car for one that works and they want me to take a hit of £9500 on purchase price. Needless to say not amused! Now trying to get a refund but won't hold my breath. When I went in to discuss options, Dan, sales manager, couldn't be bothered to come out of his office to speak to me even though we had arranged a time for me to go in. Not only poor customer service, a poor product, brilliant when working, but certainly not the same company I bought a XF off some years ago with a very different experience.

Very Poor Service!!

Called the parts department at the Nottingham dealership with a simple request for 4 rear caliper bolts for Range Rover Sport. Went and collected them and they were wrong!! Called and reiterated they were for the rear, received email link to pay for them, completed within 30 minutes. Called following day to be told payment hadn't been received, even though I had proof it had been paid at 15:05. The girl actually told me she checked before leaving at 17:30 the previous evening, but couldn't be bothered letting me know. Walked out disgusted by the service from a company that calls itself the UK's premier presige car dealership. Won't be buying my next Range Rover from them went to Inchcape in Detby and received outstanding customer service.
Update: Standard template response received. "Identity improvements" - I think you need to start over with basic fundamentals!

A Disastrous Experience with Stratstone Jaguar/Land Rover Nottingham

I am disappointed to pen this review, however, our multiple unfortunate experiences with Stratstone Jaguar/Land Rover have compelled me to voice our grievances.

Approximately a year ago, we excitedly took an F Type for a test drive, which tragically and incredibly unexpectedly caught fire a mere half-mile from the dealership. It was later revealed that the charging leads on the battery had not been disconnected and were left "live" in the engine bay. The stress of having to call the fire brigade and deal with the ensuing chaos was far beyond anything one would expect from what should have been an exciting test drive. To add insult to injury, the dealership never provided us any form of compensation or apology for this deeply traumatic event. We could have easily have opted to take this event further, but haven't - yet. I do have a video of the entire event.

Determined to give Stratstone another chance, we returned a few months later to explore purchasing a Range Rover Velar. To our dismay, the salesman showed little to no interest in our potential business. Even more astonishingly, the car, being only two years old, had not been properly prepared - it wasn't even cleaned. Needless to say, we left without a test drive and sought our business elsewhere.

Now, one year on, we returned to inquire about a service on our Velar and to view new models. The receptionist informed us that they couldn't provide information on the service due date and that we would need to visit the service location down the road. The concept that a customer would have to go elsewhere for information pertinent to a potential purchase struck us as remarkably unprofessional. Despite our intention to peruse their new car offerings, it appeared that no one was interested in providing this seemingly simple piece of information or in showing us their new models.

The situation took a turn for the worse when the gentleman the receptionist eventually found to assist us (after me becoming more assertive) merely confirmed that our car was indeed due a service and then resumed his work on his computer, making no effort to assist us further. Despite our clear interest in the cars on the showroom floor, none of the approximately ten staff members at the dealership offered us any assistance, even when we deliberately lingered near them in a clear sign of needing help. We were the only customers in the dealership, making the lack of service all the more astounding.

Our final attempt to secure help was thwarted by the sight of the receptionist browsing the NHS website. It became abundantly clear to us that the Stratstone Jaguar/Land Rover team (Nottingham) had no interest in our custom or in assisting us in any way.

To say that we are disappointed would be an understatement. Given our experience with Stratstone Porsche, where we received exemplary service for my 911, we are baffled by the stark contrast in customer service from these two dealerships, despite being part of the same group.

It is with regret that we will be taking our business elsewhere. The unprofessionalism and disregard for customers displayed by Stratstone Jaguar/Land Rover has left us with no choice. Our experience seems to echo the sentiments of other dissatisfied customers, highlighting a fundamental lack of attention and interest in customer service and safety. The memory of a car fire caused by their negligence still burns vividly in our minds, reminding us of the absolute necessity of attentive service in this industry.

I hope others take heed and carefully consider their options before choosing to engage with this dealership.

I have been a Jaguar customer for many years but my dealings with Stratstone Jaguar in Nottingham have left me with no confidence in the dealership network, or manufacturer. A car was sold with full Jaguar service history (FJSH) but after a short time we discovered when addressing a DPF issue that the car had missed its first service interval, and was actually carried out a full year late at an independent service centre. This now leaves us with a devalued E Pace that nobody will want, as the commonly known issues of turbo, timing chain, and other major engine parts that will become prematurely problematic due to the missed service, something that an experienced local Jaguar specialist said would happen. We have asked for a full refund but Stratstone Jaguar Nottingham are taking the pee.
My advice would be to avoid this dealership, avoid the brand, and choose a trustworthy outlet to buy a car from otherwise you could be their next victim and be £1000s out of pocket, like we are!
UPDATE- I have just received a bog standard reply from Stratstone- Obviously they do not care about their customers once they have their money!! These dealers should be shut down.

Worst main dealer experience i have ever had

I bought a F pace from this dealership in December 2022 and paid for delivery, the car arrived but hadn't been serviced before it was delivered so it had to go back to Nottingham which is 140 miles away from me, the car was driven to Nottingham and back adding 280 miles to the car, it suffered a puncture on the way down which prompted a phone call from service to inform me of the price of a new tyre, when i refused to pay they did agree to put a fresh tyre on free of charge without too much fuss to be fair to them, the car was also missing the puncture repair and compressor kit which makes me question if the car was actual checked before delivery, now on to my most recent problem, before the car was delivered the sales lady said there was a scuff on the front bumper which needed a repair, that repair has reacted and crack the paint, I have been trying to contact the sales lady but she has left, I called service and they said they would get someone to call me and i have sent 6 emails so far asking for contact and no reply, this is just the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a main dealer, I wish I stuck with BMW as at least they contacted me back, make sure you are local and check the car before purchasing as the aftersales care is shocking.

Unorganised and confusing system

Totally unprofessional service attitude. Booked online for a XJ service, received confirmation email for car in and out same day waiting 3 hrs.
Called before hand and was told to come in earlier and perhaps get the car returned next day!!!!!!! Then said come in next Thurs for someday return.
Total confusion!!!!
I declined and cancelled !!!!!!!
Purchased the car from them and again after sales with them is really so poor..no response from any queries..

Superb experience from start to finish

Recently picked up my brand new F TYPE. Absolutely love the car but also loved the service I received. Martin looked after me from the get go. Really genuine guy was by no means like a stereotypical “car salesman”, built a great rapport and was very personable. Previously been with BMW & Mercedes’ and the whole reason I decided to go for Jag was due to the customer service I received when I first walked in. You don’t feel like just a number, you feel like a VIP. Furthermore there was a small issue with the car when I got it, but Martin got me in ASAP and resolved the problem in 20 minutes. Not just great service before purchase but superb after purchase. Thank you!
