Avoid this company at all costs.

We paid Stockport Resin Driveways £5,750 for a resin driveway and have been left with defective workmanship, damage to our property, broken promises and complete disregard for their contractual obligations.

During the installation, the company admitted they had not ordered enough resin to complete the driveway. As a result, the driveway had to be laid in two separate stages, leaving an obvious patch where the two applications meet. We were assured this would “blend over time” and that, if it didn’t, they would return and rectify it. It never blended, and despite repeatedly acknowledging the defect, they have never returned to put it right.

Their operatives also caused damage to our property during the installation by knocking an electrical box from the wall and damaging a fence with their machinery. Those issues have never been properly resolved.

For almost a year we have chased this company for a resolution. We have WhatsApp messages showing they accepted responsibility for the defect and repeatedly promised someone would attend, repairs would be carried out and phone calls would be made. None of those promises were honoured. Eventually, all communication stopped altogether.

The driveway was supplied with a 10-year guarantee, yet that guarantee has proved meaningless. The company has failed to honour both its guarantee and its contractual obligations by refusing to rectify workmanship it has already acknowledged is defective.

As a final attempt to resolve matters without court proceedings, we sent a Formal Letter Before Action giving them 14 days to respond. That deadline has now expired. We are now on day 15 and have still received no response or contact whatsoever.

We are now proceeding through the appropriate legal channels, including obtaining an independent report, instructing another contractor to rectify the defective workmanship and seeking to recover all associated costs.

If you are considering using Stockport Resin Driveways, our experience has been one of poor workmanship, damage to property, broken promises, failure to honour a 10-year guarantee and complete disregard for their customers once payment has been made. We cannot recommend this company.

This version is stronger while remaining focused on facts that you can evidence, which makes it more impactful and less likely to be challenged.

Just had large area of patio and paths done and very pleased with the result. Problems associated with access of concrete wagon to property overcome by extra hard work barrowing it 40 metres to the area. Jason kept me updated all the way. Very pleased with the result.

Our driveway is crumbling away after 2 years. The ten year guarantee is a scam. There is no guarantee. Going through small claims but this cowboy scammer won’t pay anyway. He’s just had 2 weeks in Vietnam so he’s spending his stolen money on fancy trips. I have photos if you want to see them please contact me. Another company has said the resin is about half the depth it should be. Waited in all day after getting this

Jason Burton (the director) comes across as professional and legitimate but the contractors that turn up to do the work have never laid a resin driveway in their lives. A few months in and we had cracking, as a proper base was not installed. A year down the line and the whole driveway is warped and bulging.
The so called '10 year guarentee' is not worth the paper it is printed on.
We persued the company through small claims court to no avail as Jason is declaring he is suicidal- he knows how to play the system. We waited 2 years to post this review to give Jason a chance to rectify his dishonesty.

We have wasted our hard earned money as our driveway now needs replacing.

The most horrendous drive. The owner kept making false promises to come back and rectify cracks, coming away from the brick border, all uneven causing g puddles everywhere blocked our manholes we can not open. Had the work checked by professional who said disgraceful work and the base is incorrect materials. This company is now classed LTD COMPANY. We took the guy to court and was awarded a CCJ against him but after 2 years still not give us a penny. I see he has 2 other CCJs against him STAY CLEAR !!!

We initially contacted SRD in late April 2022 after another company let us down. The owner visited quickly, took a £500 deposit and provided a contract. Just before they were due to start, the owner called and said he was having an issue getting equipment to fit our narrow pathway, despite telling us in his initial visit that it would be fine. My husband spent the day sourcing adequate equipment for him and booked it all for a start date of 13th June which was confirmed via message. On the day they were due to start, nobody arrived so we called the office to be told the team were on another job with the owner so definitely not due to us that week. The office told us the owner would call us so we waited, yet heard nothing. After many unanswered calls and messages throughout the day, the owner eventually text the next day to say he was abroad dealing with a family bereavement, despite the office telling us he was on a job and his calls not giving an international dial tone. Instead of offering to rectify the issue, he said he would send us our deposit back and requested our bank details. We waited and waited, were given constant empty promises and reasons we couldn't have our money yet and eventually, got fed up and claimed it back through the fraud team at our bank. The owner then continued to message my husband about coming round to give us the cash, despite knowing we had claimed it back so something didn't add up to us as he continued to keep calling my husband. We contacted check a trade who had no record of this business, which I also checked on their website myself - this also didn't add up as the owner advertises on his website he is part of checkatrade and also told us when he originally visited that they may visit themselves to review his work.

I regret not looking at the Google reviews prior to contacting this business as the reviews speak for themselves. The entire encounter was an absolute nightmare.
