The initial discussions and survey were very reassuring as the only location for the installation was rather awkward. We were very professionally advised by Nick and Radina on the various types of softeners and water filters. taps etc and it was easy to arrange the installation. Their installer, David, was a star; successfully dealing very expertly with the tricky installation. Excellent Service. I would use them again and highly recommend the company.

Sterling dealt with my water softener problem very professionally. It started with me reaching out to them to check my existing softener which apparently was at the end of its life. The engineer who visited was very friendly and knowledgable. I found their advise genuine. After doing some research, I decided to get a new softener as repairs to the existing one would have not made financial sense. I researched the market and sought a few quotes, including one from Sterling. Their offer was competitive and I decided to go with them for the new purchase and installation. Overall - the experience was really great from booking the appointment for an engineer's visit to arranging and installing the new softener. Delivery and installation was on time, finance options were made available as well. I would highly recommend Sterling.

Sterling Softeners were great with their advice and competitive for a replacement. The new one was fitted today and they will return in a month’s time to check that everything is as it should be.

Nick carried out the initial site survey and proposed a very smart installation location that I hadn’t considered. Although there was another softener company just down our street, Nick’s approach and attention to detail stood out, which made the decision to go with Sterling an easy one.

We chose the Hague Maximizer for its efficiency with salt and water usage, even though it’s slightly larger than alternatives like Harvey, so fitting under standard sink is hard.

David handled the installation, which turned out to be more complex than expected due to space constraints, the existing pipework, and the requirements of a combi boiler system. He quickly adapted the plan and suggested a clever reconfiguration to make everything work. Despite the complexity, David made the whole process look effortless. His plumbing expertise and attitude were exceptional. He was meticulous, worked non-stop for around seven hours, and took the time to answer all my questions patiently. Even a difficult-to-access stopcock was made easy to manage by the end. David also left everything spotless after the job, which was much appreciated.

The final setup was tailored perfectly: a separate hard water tap in the work area, the main kitchen drinking tap and garden supply on hard water, the boiler’s secondary heating on soft water (with the option to run the primary circuit on hard via a bypass valve), and the bathrooms, dishwasher, and washing machine all on softened water.

Radina managed the scheduling and admin side seamlessly. She was always responsive, organised, and patient in addressing all my queries.

Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish from Sterling.

Communication was outstanding. Radina was very quick to reply to our emails - always within 1 working day. Questions were always answered clearly. Immediately after installation we were sent warranty, invoice, and a schedule for a follow up visit. Everything was organised perfectly.

Nick who came for our free home visit was clearly very knowledgeable in his field. He laid out all of our options, the pros and cons of all products, and all the prices.

David who came to install our softener was very professional. He gave us a call before he arrived within the agreed window and despite initially having a very difficult time finding parking around the area, managed to get the job done within 3 hours. He also kindly explained to us how to care for the product afterwards. Water softener is now running perfectly.

Great Service. I live in a hard water area and needed a new water softener to replace my old one. They came out quickly and recommended a good system to replace my old one that would be effective for the size of my house. The installation was quick, clean and very well done. The new system was setup in a nice and tidy location and topping up with salt is easy to do. Would highly recommend Sterling Softeners if you live in a hard water and are looking to install a water softener
