If you are thinking of swapping supplier to SP I wouldn't recommend it. I moved house and found I was on a pre-paid meter. SP said they could switch it over in 11 days time. I spent hours on the ph... Leggi di più

This company cannot improve
This company cannot improve, because it doesn't want to. Our power has been off for 36 hours. Depending on which message you believe from Sp Energy Networks it was fixed at 2pm (it wasn't), it will be fixed at 3pm (it wasn't, and you can take your choice from 5pm, 9pm, midnight. Or you can phone them and wait for an hour for a reply (no wonder the parent company made (2.05bn last year). The phone is still on the most annoying 10 notes they could find (see report below), designed to stop you hanging on. They of course expect you to be civil to them. Well civility cuts both ways, and they show NONE.
We're 77 and 74, no heating, no way of making a hot drink or a hot meal. A few months ago, we were asked to allow them on to our property to replace a pole and transformer, erected in 1958!!! At short notice, they cancelled and said they would re-assign another time to do the work. They still haven't. Is it any wonder their network fails? I shall be contacting Ofgen. Simply not up to the responsibility of the industry they are in, and too ignorant to provide customer service.
I've now been on the phone waiting for a whole hour, just listening to the worst beats possible.
Would I be right in assuming that SP Energy Networks will pay for my time, my phone bills, and the inconvenience of having no electricity and all that that implies. I shall keep you informed of their response. We're into the second hour of waiting on the phone now. If I said this was "shocking" would I be making an understatement? I have given up. That's what they intended as a company policy all along. They deserve minus 5 stars. Must be nice making £2.05 bn profit for NOT providing a service!
Phone call ended after 1 hour and 30 minutes. No response from SP E N. You can always try it and see how long they make you wait! (Without ever answering!!!)
I said that I would keep you up to date with the response from SP Energy Networks, and the good news is that I have had TWO phone calls to query whether or not our electricity is on now (it is), and a text query asking how they have performed. So, much better. I wish to emphasise that my issue is certainly not with the ordinary workers, either those out in all weathers doing a difficult and thankless task, nor with office staff having to field angry customers queries. My gripe is with the higher echelons of the company for some pretty basic issues, such as designing systems much better, and having honesty at the centre of their messaging. For instance, if you phone 105, then get rid of the pointless first message and get down to the issue at hand, cut out the infernal pointless messages throughout, and put through to a sufficient number of humans. Give clear messages as other organisations do... "You are at position "x" in the queue. Your call will be answered in about "y" minutes. If you would like us to call you, please press 1 and then hang up."
And finally get rid of the annoying "music" and play something a bit more soothing.
Power cut misery-NO information
Power cut. No information available as website down. Holding page says telephone 105. Do that, and after the usual frustrating rigmarole of ‘press 1’ and ‘press 2’, eventually auto message says will pass you to someone to speak to. After a never ending wait, with THE worst and most annoying excuse for ‘musak’ (I have to believe deliberately designed to drive people off the phone rather than wait, snd it worked)…I just about lost the will to live and gave up

I had a lovely man called Wayne deal with my problem. It was rectified immediately.
Every time I've had an issue, the staff have been great.
I would like to thank the network…
I would like to thank the network engineers in Crosslanes North Wales for the swift and prompt response in reconnecting the area due to the adverse weather. Not an easy job in the conditions, total respect and much underestimated by the public what these guys risk and do, totally unrespected heros, thank you, well done from my family and myself.
Excellent Service
After smelling that something was burning, we discovered that our incoming electrical mains isolator had failed and was seriously melted. Just 80 minutes after calling SP Energy Networks power loss and emergency number, their engineer, Helen Garnett, arrived to our home. Her attitude and engineering skills were excellent. Now, less than two and a half hours after first contacting SP Energy Networks, and reporting our issue to Jeanette, we have a new isolator fitted and everything is safely back to normal. A massive thank you to two excellent members of the SP team, who both impressed us greatly. Our job reference number was 00836914.
Response to emergency
A truck took out a power pole early this morning outside my house in Castle Douglas. Ripped out the power line from my house & neighbours house. Called SP Energy & a crew arrived within the hour and replaced the power pole & restored service by 4.30pm. Excellent service!
SP Energy Networks biggest cowboys…
SP Energy Networks biggest cowboys going, Fault reported and apparently to much voltage going into the house on 22nd Aug. 4 seperate days I have waited in for them including today and just rang them to be informed they are coming tomorrow 🤬🤬🤬but nobody will be in so another reschedule.
Went to reschedule and was informed it was ac fault at the sub station and not my house, yet last week I was told the substation fault was fixed and they needed to fix a fault at my end.
Absolute cowboys and disgusting customer service.
Absolutely disgusted
Absolutely disgusted, 3 power cuts last week, 1 the week before, 1 yesterday and 1 today 6/5/24, when you phone it’s been a fuse at the sub station…. Surely by now you know it’s something else causing it, get it fixed, only seems to have started when they were demolishing the shop’s opposite😡😡😡
Had 2 engineer's out to my property…
Had 2 engineer's out to my property last night to fix a problem with my electric meter...They were polite chaty & done a very good job...Thanks guys!
Brand new gym electrical damage …
I am not 1 for calling out businesses but the way I have been treated from Scottish Power over the last 2 weeks is absolutely disgusting!
2 weeks ago on Saturday 24th February a squad of workers turned up to dig up the road outside my new gym.
No prior warning and no permission from the local businesses which they denied.
I decided to let them get the job done anyway to save hold ups for our neighbours earthing issue.
On Tuesday 27th I had noticed a few machines not working so I started to investigate further.
All my new electrical heaters , running machine , WiFi router , emergency door lights & someone pointed out the main lights on the roof had every second brand new light off too.
I have had 2 separate electricians come in to investigate the issues.
Everything is back on normally but all my devices are blown internally and need fully replaced.
This lighting loop is the emergency system so comes on in the event of a fire etc.
This gym is not safe without it so I can’t open to the public.
Our open day was cancelled because of this.
I made contact with Scottish power on Thursday 29th Feb .
I was assured I’d be phoned back Friday or Monday but no call.
Saturday 2nd of March another squad started digging up the street , again with no permission or previous notice.
I spoke to electrical charge hand and explained my gym situation.
He admitted to testing my unit on Monday and it must of been a surge .
He also walked around with me and I showed him everything.
After phoning SP over 6 times , speaking to the charge Hand and his supervisor on the phone twice over the last 2 weeks I have no answers or call backs.
Not even ONCE !!!🤬
I heard this social media tagging helps to speed up the work so I’m trying my best to get this matter resolved.
My gym is a fantastic facility offering a BRAND NEW fully kitted out gym , mental health lounge for our fantastic members and projects with multiple other areas available to everyone
This is all having a massive impact financially & mentally which is kind of ironic considering what the purpose of this facility is for - isn’t it 🙄
I need help TODAY before I go insane
This is a brand new unit that’s been ripped out and fully renovated to a very high Standard with no faults from my team of contractors.
I am on the priority register with…
I am on the priority register with Scottish Power after a long battle with mental health sought employment and got a job with them in prenton site. I was sacked after months employed doing nothing then trying to arrange my own training sacked. I tried to arrange a discussion or return to work to discuss my mental health struggles. Nothing just dismissed. If you think this company cares re mental health it doesnt even look after who's working for them
Quick response to power cut
Thanks so much for the quick response tonite when we had a power cut. Turned out our silly neighbour had turned off the main fuse on a looped property. Had cakes in the oven and tablet cooking away. What a waste. The serviceman was so helpful. Finding the fault quickly and restoring our power.
Thank you
Impressive Response
We live in a very rural, quite remote area, with overhead power lines. We had a power cut at about six o'clock on a very stormy and windy Saturday night. This has happened before, it's usually a tree or branch that's come down and fallen on the power lines. Reported the outage to SP Networks, they got engineers out to the area immediately and had fixed the broken power lines by about 3 a.m. on Sunday, in the middle or a raging storm! Absolutely excellent response under very difficult conditions.
SP Energy Network Failing Disabled Customers. no care or…
SP Energy Network have no care or consideration for their vulnerable and disabled customers. Four power cuts in just a short number of weeks and we just get the off-script patter. The priority services register is not worth a jot. What help do you offer SPEN? The reporting line is a joke as phone lines are out when the power is off, disabled people having to use mobiles is not always an option.. software voice recognition that does not recognise a speech difficulty. Customers still have to waste time listening to all the recorded updates and either press keypads or speak into devices before eventually getting someone to speak to. Not good enough. The customers who need this service, do not need these obstacles. SPEN should be enabling customers not disabling. The power cuts are not just an inconvenience for this group of people. Stair lifts do not work, rise recliner chairs do not work, air mattresses etc. it is frightening and causes real suffering to the most vulnerable. Pull your socks up SP Energy Networks.
Absolutely fantastic and very helpful…
Absolutely fantastic and very helpful people. Particularly Dean M. in design team and Simon M. in Projects has been great during my dealings with them. They have gone extra mile in providing me with most cost effective solutions along with ensuring the job will be fully compliant and safe from a H&S perspective. They have regularly updated me on the progress, provided most cost effective solutions and site visit retrospectively to answer my questions face to face.
Rest of the team (Kirsty, Denise and anyone else i spoke with) have been excellent with speedy responses and resolution. Highly recommended people who drives the business forward and must be recognised for their great personalities or work ethic.
Thank you all very much for everything.
Regards,
D. Denli.
Wanting to un-loop and update of the…
Wanting to un-loop and update of the (old) electrical supply to my property. First contacted EDF eight months ago, have had two site visits, multiple phone calls (at my expense) chasing for updates which have been either completely ignored or call handler can’t help me. My previous contact now seems to be ignoring my many voicemails/blocked my call as phone always turned off! This is becoming an absolute joke and is stopping me from moving into my property. There is no way to directly contact the department (new connections) I need and I am no further forward than I was eight months ago.
I cant thank these guys enough
I cant thank these guys enough. They worked all day & night to sort my power cut so that my son & I were not left another night without any electricity also the call handler was so polite & helpful.
Mess one big mess
Mess one big mess, people working there can not deal with simple tasks, bills overpriced, no support, avoid them worst service in my life so far
Avoid like the plague
Avoid like the plague, terrible customer service.
Quick courteous service
Reported a problem Tuesday afternoon, attended within a couple of hours, generator in place an hour later. Problem solved the next day…less than 24 hours after it being reported. Remedial ground works resolved the following day
All the team from the first call to the final Duttons operatives were courteous and helpful
