Oh dear..it's coloured water and nothing more

I needed a replacement battery charger of a garden tool, It was no longer available in the uk but the helpful tele handler e mailed me the link to a compatable charger that made getting a replacement quick and easy. No long wait to speak to an advisor which makes a very pleasant change. Well done

After three separate applications of this weed killer , there is no sign of the weeds dying . Waste of time and money

On hold to hotline for 26 minutes still no answer
Update - at 30 minutes a voice said sorry there is nobody there to answer my call and cut off the phone

This is far and away the worst weed killer I have ever wasted my money on. It has done quite literally nothing to the weeds around my garden, path and driveway. I've used 3 litres of the stuff and the weeds seem to be thriving not dying. Do not buy this product, I wasted my money so please save yours. Get any other alternative, use white vinegar or hot water it'll work better.

Decking paint.

Terrible coverage. Poor quality. Completely different colour. Dark oak comes out light brown. It sits on the wood.and wont absorb.
Spent £100 on 20 litres when I usually use 10 litres.

I purchased Xtra Tough Weed Killer and after spraying weeds on three occasions it has failed to kill the weeds! I may as well be spraying water for all the good it has done, a complete waste of money. My rating of one star is one star too many

Dog & Cat repellent useless, smells of PINE disinfectant. Sprayed an area 4 - 5 times & dogs just walk over it & Poo. waste of money.

Emailed information to the address they gave me for a warranty claim for a cordless hedge trimmer several weeks ago but, despite reminders, no reply received.

bought 6 4ltr dark brown creocote 1st bottle was great nice and thick right colour next 3 were light brown and very watery given a totally different colour and absorbancy to panels 1 smelt different and was more of a dark green and last one well cannot figure it out have used this product in past on all my fencing and was very happy with it ,, but based on this purchase which was going on new fence i wasted my time and money

So got this product after reading good reviews on it 2025.
I was very disappointed with it as hot summer nothing happened patio n paths look same...Fast forward a year very wet winter and come spring...its has worked.
Im super pleased with how it looks now...all the black mold type spots gone all the slabs look almost new....
So have brought more to treat other pathed areas...I did 2 slabs at same time last year after wet winter all where discoloured and a bit been Except the 2 I treated last year...
Got new lot from garden centre for £5.99 cheaper than Internet last year so Good getting some more for family members garden slabs soon!!

I bought a Spear and Jackson fork from Wickes and decided to use it for the first time yesterday to move a plant from a border. The fork claims to be 'stainless' - which I presumed meant stainless steel. Within a minute of first use, the tines snapped in half with a loud crack. On examination, the tines appear to be made from something that isn't steel, then given a thin coating of stainless. What an absolutely useless piece of equipment - Spear and Jackson used to be a reputable brand, but if they are producing garden forks that snap on impact with soil they may as well start producing chocolate woks.

I will NEVER buy this garbage again. It literally washed off my fence and wishing well after a downfall of rain. Avoid at all cost. I will stick to Cuprinol from now on.

I recently contacted Spear & Jackson regarding a telescopic tree pruner I bought some time ago, as I needed a few spare parts. I was extremely impressed by the response from their Senior Customer Service Officer, Tracy Backhouse.

Tracy replied to my email immediately and kindly offered to send the spare parts to my address free of charge. This level of helpfulness and efficiency is rare these days, and it truly reflects exceptional customer care.

Spear & Jackson clearly values their customers, and Tracy’s professionalism, generosity, and prompt communication made the whole experience outstanding. It’s reassuring to know that there are companies who stand firmly behind their products and support their customers so well.

Have always used Spear&Jackson for my garden tools until being told by the that they use low impact material
Was in the garden using my Spear&Jackson spade and fork decided to lean my spade against the greenhouse it fell onto the path and snapped the handle off
Emailed them and was told this was and accident and we only use low impact material??

Bought a scarifier and second time out all the tines broke off the cassette. Thought it could have been my fault as it was set low to remove the lawn moss. Tried to purchase a replacement cassette and was told that their spares are handled by coreservice.co.uk. Contacted them and purchased (the unit was less than 6 months old) a replacement cassette. It was the wrong size and didn’t fit. Contacted the coreservice again and they sent me another. That didn’t fit either. Relayed my experience to both S&J and coreservice and both now are ignoring my requests for assistance. Absolutely awful after sales service.

Purchased a digging fork about 3 years ago, chose S&J over the DIY store own-brand fork because of the 10 year warranty. The wooden handle broke in two where it meets the shaft of the tines.
Emailed S&J honestly not expecting much, so many companies these days make promises they never have any intention of keeping but the S&J rep was super helpful, asked for some photos of the damage and 2 weeks later a new fork (with a 15 year warranty) arrived on my doorstep in New Zealand!! Now that is service!! Thank you S&J :)

I bought a Spear & Jackson lopper/pole saw at the beginning of last year. The blade broke after a fair amount of use. I could not find the correct replacement blade from the usual online suppliers so contacted S&J and received a complimentary replacement blade within 24 hours. Excellent service, good to see a company that stands behind its products.

Broken Edging Knife after 6 years use. No receipt but I contacted customer service & with minimal fuss Tracy arranged a free of charge replacement. Customer service as it used to be. Superb. Thank you.

Bought an S&J long-reach water spray attachment and a painting pad kit recently. Both items were almost useless. Spray attachment leaked from every joint despite tightening to max extent. The paint pad lost all it's hairs within minutes, while using emulsion paint.
Will not waste my money on any S&J merchandise in future.
