COVID19 Return Policy Let Down
My young teenage son bought me a pair of boots for Christmas 2020. 1 Size too small. Provincial wide lockdown for COVID19 took place, then extended, then within our Northern City, was extended a third time, all non essential retail closed. Finally drove 1.5 hrs to return them to be told, sorry your return period to have your money returned to you expired during the lockdown, its unfortunate but we will give you a gift card, to spend in one of our stores. Great to see how Softmoc supports their consumers. Wont be making anymore purchases during any holiday season again from Softmoc.
Don’t buy anything since you cannot exchange or return at all
I bought a pair of shoes at Metrotown Softmoc last night. I went back to exchange for a smaller size today and was refused. I was explaining the reason that I wore the shoes for several minutes when I was stepping from my garage to my home, and I felt I need a smaller size. They refused to do free size exchange because they said my shoes have been worn, even it’s just one minute. Even if I return with the receipt and box and even the shoe tag, they refuse to exchange. I was shocked by their impoliteness and will never buy anything from this brand any more.

Yes, They are bad. They will charge you for Express shipping and deliver 10 days later..... I tried contacting them and they do not refund shipping cost. Yes... you are paying extra for nothing. Will not recommend.

Bought online and return deadline for exchange was January 2nd, 2021. Lockdown was December 16, 2020 and they will not refund after lift of the lockdown February 16,2021 because it was an online purchase and I should have sent it back by email. Really? Nowhere on the packaging slip does it say that return in store are not accepted should store close (Covid started in March and by end 2020, they claim that it has not been updated: well then honor your client and issue refund! After a while, they said they would make an exception and give a gift card. As if they are doing me a favor? I did nothing wrong, I was still in time for return if it was not for Covid. No other store has refused refund using the pretext that you could have return via post (and as other mention they want you to pay for return postage)
Please go somewhere else and spare yourself the headache!
Best customer ever
Best customer ever. I ordered the wrong size by mail and had to do a return and reorder. They paid for shipping and were extremely helpful. After being screwed on several shoe orders from other companies I was reluctant to try again but Softmoc are now my first look for online shoes.
Ordered online for curbside pickup
Ordered online for curbside pickup, after a week called store to see if ready as tracking the package showed it had been at the store for 5 days ready to be picked up, no answer at store. Called 1-800 number and very nice lady told me no clue why they didn’t send me an email to pick up my order, 5 mins later got an email my order was ready for pick up! Went to the store next day and they were closed! Called 1-800 again and they said oh they’re closed on the weekend. I said would be nice to say on their email when they are open during covid for pick up. So now it will be 2 weeks to get a curbside pickup, Amazon would have been 2 days. Try to shop Canadian stores but I guess they don’t care about service.

My experience with Softmoc
After I ordered, I quickly checked the reviews to see the reliability, and well most of them were eh, so I prayed I will receive my order. I was actually very surprised to receive and e-mail saying that my item has arrived 2 days before it was due, and guess what, the size and the quality of the shoes were just as I expected. Maybe I am one of the few lucky ones but this was my experience with Softmoc

I didn’t Even want to give them one star review customer service is horrible ordered a pair of shoes online for the very first time ever they did not fit once I received them so I received a return label from soft mock not having to pay return fees and a representative told me I would receive a full refund for what I paid for the item and yet they only refunded me back the cost of the shoes and not the shipping and their excuse is it’s written in fine print horrible horrible horrible horrible experience do not shop at SoftMoc their shoes aren’t what they seem and they don’t fit properly descriptions aren’t accurate and customer service and management suck wouldn’t honour my full refund which is a $8 difference so they just lost a customer of years just for their unprofessionalism and poor excuses they are stealing from people during COVID19 when people are struggling the most financially save your MONEY stay away shop show company or other better retail stores out there!!!!!!

Charges shipping to return
I ordered a pair Of boots and accidentally put the wrong email address in. When I did not receive a confirmation but saw the charge went through on my visa I contacted customer service. They told me no order went through in my nameAnd that the visa charge was just pending and it would be reversed. It was not reversed and the boots showed up. However due to the difficulties ordering I had already purchased the boots from another company. When I contacted Soft Moc with my situation they said I could return the boots but I would have to pay for the shipping. Given the circumstances I thought this was a ridiculous option. This back-and-forth of emails took about a week and offered limited information each time. I will never again order from Soft Moc.

Similar to the last person, I didn't want to give a 1 star rating but that is the lowest we can go.
I purchased a gift of Dr Martens from the Peterborough store. The Sales Rep assured me the sale price (in the unlikely chance that Dr Marten's would go on sale) would be offered by returning them and repurchasing all through the store.
The boots did go on sale after lockdown was ordered so SoftMoc knew customers would not be able to do what they were told to do. We have to purchase a second pair of boots a month later and then hope that we can return the first pair to the store.
Why offer a sale during COVID that you have told will be honoured for the store customers within 30 days with absolutely no COVID friendly solution ready? You have literally set up a situation to ensure customers can't be served. On-line and the customer service line simply say "sorry that is all we can do" and refuse to escalate your call to policy makers! There has to be a fair and reasonable solution that is actually servicing the customer!

I ordered the ugg shoes with 49% off, after succesfully order I got the email and sms confirmation that my order is processed. After 3 days, i received message that my order is delay. After 5 days, it is mentioned that my order is delivered to the local store and I will get notification again when it is ready. However, just 2 hours after the latest message, i received another message that the item i order is sold out and i receive coupon for 15% off. Is it the normal way that this company do business. It is abosolutely fraud. I give a feedback via their facebook and website but did not get any response. I am totally not satisfied with the way they handle the online orders and would never place order again. If the item is sold out, this information should be informed right away to customer or at least after 1 day, not nearly a week or until it was already shipped to local store. They never appreciate the customer.
Never sent Christmas gift and lied the whole time
Ordered a gift 1 month before Christmas and they lost it in the warehouse and continued to lie about it into the New Year. Obviously never got it. Customer service was the worst I’ve ever experienced and the associates on the phone and also the ones handling emails shouldn’t have a job. Never order from SoftMoc.
Doesn't Return or Exchange
No gift receipt despite a request for one. So gave original receipt to my son as the product was not exactly what he had been wanting. He was denied return or exchange for another product and was told he could only get a different size of the same product. During this interaction, he was dismissed by the associate to help another customer while he waited 15 minutes to finish a conversation that did not resolve the issue.
Requested return
Received a pair of Sketchers as a Christmas gift. The shoes were purchased on Nov. 20, 2020 (via Amazon) and received on Dec. 25, 2020. Received size 8 need an 8.5. Return/Exchange refused as past the return window. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. BUYER BE WARE.

Avoid the Dartmouth Crossing location at all costs! 2 attempts to purchase 4 Christmas gifts totalling $450 ... the service provided was well ... at the least nonexistent! ... The most horrible, disrespectful experience I've ever been subjected to and today when I attempted to discuss it with the manager of the location her responses were essentially excuses for her own and her staff's poor behavior and lack of any attempt to provide customer service. As I was attempting to discuss my concerns with the manager I was subjected to snickering and disrespectful behavior from one of the sales associates ... right in front of the manager! ... when I called them both on it ... I kid you not the manager first blatantly denied it happened and when the sales associate persisted, she made yet more excuses for the behavior! Unbelievable! Disrespectful, disgusting excuses for non-existant customer service, especially at this time when so many businesses are struggling to survive! If this is the level of service provided I guess Softmoc might also not survive. Save yourself some grief and disrespect, spend your money elsewhere ... somewhere it's appreciated and valued! If I could I'd rate them at a minus 5!
Would give 0 stars if possible - faulty product, poor service, don't care for customer's safety
Would give 0 stars if possible. Purchased slippers as a gift. After being worn less than two weeks occasinally around the house, the entire side seam split open, rendering the shoe absolutely useless. I have a photo of the damage. It's such poor quality and faulty!
To get any kind of compensation, I am required to go into a store (during a covid outbreak, putting myself at risk) or find a way to print the original online receipt, go to the post office, package and pay to ship the shoes back and wait for them to be inspected - ONLY then will i get the same again, or a gift card. Right now I want my money back, as I no longer want to deal with this store, but that seems unlikely. I don't have time for what they are requesting so will give up and just buy elsewhere.

Leaky boots
I bought a pair of faux leather boots. While walking dogs I went through some water on the road. My feet were suddenly wet. They leak at the sole edge! I went back to the store and was told "yeah, they are fabric. They aren't waterproof". Boots? I won't be back.
