Slug and Lettuce Recensioni 

My family and I went to the slug and lettuce richmond hill Bournemouth. I waited nearly 2 hours for a cheese burger, with out bacon. It was served after everyone in my group had there’s, it was cold. They replaced it with another one but had bacon in. That was dripping in oil and blood. I couldn’t eat it. The disabled toilet was filthy no soap. And no lock on the door. The coke was flat and no taste at all. We complained but we all felt they was mocking us . The staff had no respect,and really didn’t seem to know what they was doing. The manager said she didn’t usually work in the kitchen . Myself and another member of my family were up all night with stomach cramps and feeling sick. The kitchens need checking into poor hygiene. The manager used the toilet and I went in after there was no soap, and the sink was dry so she hadn’t washed her hands.

Milton keynes Slug and lettuce was very poor. Freezing cold room. Manager was rude and uninterested. Menu items unavailable and food that was available was not as advertised. Won't be going back.

We had a buy a gift voucher for slug and lettuce for a 3 course meal and a drink. The menu was very limited consistently of burgers, they had one meal of chicken and bacon melt. Our starter of calamari was tasty, but when the chicken melt came the chicken was wrapped in bacon with just a cheese slice balanced on top with barbaque sauce just squirted on the top, The chicken was also dry, the chips were good.
I ordered chocolate brownie which was also dry and very chewy.
Our drink was probably the best thing we had.
Wouldn't recommend.

We had booked a sharing platter at the Slug and lettuce in the omni in edinburgh. Myself ,my friend and my 9yr old granddaughter. The service was brilliant. Staff explained all that would come in the platter. Very attentive and kind staff. Nothing was a bother to them. My Granddaughter loved her Baby Belini along with her chicken and chips. Which she gave 10 out of 10. The food on the share platter was on a 3 plate stand. Beautifully presented. Very tasty and yummy food. There was plentiful for the 2 of us. The house White wine was lovely . So overall 10 for service, 10 for food and 10 for the ambience. Xx we will return .

Took my wife to slug and lettuce omni centre edinburgh , sever was good liam good experience, the food however was rank rotten , we both got fish and chips , the fish was like mush inside the batter it was horrendous peas were cold chips were ok the batter tasted of old oil , will never be back again

Had 2 steak and chips. Steaks were barely edible, just fat and gristle. Rocket that came with one steak looked like the sell by date was last week it was so limp.
Service was OK but at a cost, at the till it asks for 10 or 12% service charge but you can opt out.
Poor meal and wouldn't go back.3 stars being generous

Terrible an awesome customer service. Using a buy a gift voucher we booked at Nottingham cornerhouse for 5pm on New Year’s Day. We do book through but a gift but checked on the restaurants website and google, both said would be open and their online website was excepting bookings between 5&6pm. We booked for 5pm only to show up and the restaurant was closed. We tried to go to the other slug and lettuce around the corner and they refused as we didn’t book through them. Called customer service this morning and the lady simply did not care.
This was meant to be a special meal on New Year’s Day and we landed up having a mediocre subway.
Whilst I can’t recommend the food as never had the chance to taste it, and no ones seems to care, I give them 0 stars purely on very very poor customer service

Terrible meal with frozen fries and chicken..starter was ok but not worth the money. Avoid and go to aldi or McDonalds if you want a better meal

Cocktails were so good and our server Jo was lovely!!!

Had to cancel our table over 24 hours in advance due to my son and grandson getting this highly infectious flu. Found out they operate a no refund deposit when booking. I understand why they take a deposit but if you cancel with decent notice it should be returned. An odd approach as it doesn't incentivise people to notify them of cancellations so no chance the table can be rebooked. Very short sighted as we will never grace their door again. Plenty of competition and choice out there. We'll be supporting the local businesses not these faceless corporates

I booked to have a 2 course meal here with my wife from a voucher i was given on my Birthday. When we arrived there were only 2 other people there... I can now see why !!!!

1. Their music speakers were defective and on full volume playing deafening static noise.... this went on for over 30 mins before it was finally neutralised.

2. My wife and i ordered our meals and we waited 10 minutes......The server came over and said ...They didn't have any linguini after ordering it, so she my wife ordered a Vegan meal ...VEGAN !!!!

3. Then 5 mins later ..... we were told .... no chorizo for the chicken skewers .... so just chicken ...boring !!!!

4. Then my wife's VEGAN meal arrived with CHICKEN in it ....
WTF !!!!!!

My friend saw our distress and went to speak to the staff and eventually the manager arrived .... she said she would refund the VEGAN meal ...... I have never received any refund to this day ....

What a complete shambles and 0/10

I would like to raise a formal complaint
On the service and food we received last night (Saturday 13th December)
Our booking was for 11 people ref number
DMN-16920816845 under Lauren Clark At 7pm at the Chelmsford slug and lettuce.

I stated on the booking that we had 2 members of the party who were under 18. The security team were very rude when I showed them the booking details. The manager then came out with a tablet, which implied she didn’t know how to find the information. This is something the booking team should communicate with the venue. She said, as long as they are both out by 9pm it will be okay, and so she said they would bring the food out as quick as possible.

This first impression experience was demoralising and unprofessional. The girls were left feeling confused, and disrespected.

The food was rushed, everyone’s main meals had at least 3 burnt elements, the stuffing on the turkey dinner was burnt, the pigs in blankets were black and the broccoli was so hard, none of us could bite into it. When I pointed this out to our server, she simply said ‘that’s how it comes out, it’s soft in the middle’ she said if we bought out more, they would look the same and we need the food all out as quick as possible so it won’t be done in time.

The kitchen staff were under pressure to get the food out in quick time that it all came out over cooked and burnt.

The chocolate brownie was dry and inedible.

The cost of this meal £405 was at my own expense, I am dissatisfied with the quality of the food, the service and as it was advertised as a Christmas Dinner, we did not have any crackers or Christmas elements to make it feel special.

It was a real Shame the food was so disappointing.

A large group of my family and friends went to celebrate my birthday. We were greeted by Leia who was smiley, attentive and nothing was too much. She looked after us all day and was a pleasure. Thank you Leia

The cocktails were spot on ! However was a little to load for a social bat more for a club couldn’t hear conversation with friends ! They also felt the same ended up giving up and just looking around

Visited York S&L the one near the bridge yesterday for a bottomless brunch! We were attended to by Deano! He was amazing funny and friendly. Nothing was a problem and not once did we need to ask for drinks they literally just kept coming!

Went to slug and lettus bath after three attempts getting mayo on food after asked for no mayo as allergic to it and being okay, served it and still waiting over a hour left without lunch for one person so disappointed won’t go there again

we booked an afternoon tea with cocktails at the Reading S&L branch via Virgin Experience days. The booking was clearly a cocktail / prosecco tea as printed on the VE card we took with us.

Once seated, the manager came and told us that the booking was a mock-tail and not a cocktail version. We paid extra for the cocktail version which was printed on the card.

Despite protests from my wife and I that we had paid extra, the manager refused to back down and provide the cocktail despite reading the VE booking to that effect. My wife also had an email confirmation from S&L booking admin that it was cocktail.

Unfortunately I became really angry with the manager and it totally spoil our experience. As it turned out the sandwiches were dry and old and the cakes even worse.

We never received our cocktails, an apology or a refund. Never again will I book at S&L

One other note I wanted to make: it's suspicious that S&L can advertise a more expensive experience on VE and then deliver a cheaper option, saying it's a 'mistake of the system' This can be construed as a scam by S&L to steal a few pounds without doing anything. The fact that the 'system' would not allow the manager to compromise to give us what we paid for, suggests fraud by the mothership.
