Unsatisfied Customer

Sky Geek Delivered the wrong sealant compound. It took over a week to get the replacement sealant and it was the same wrong material as the first delivery.

Corrective action: Your shipping department must actually read and verify the specification number because the different product packaging looks similar. Maybe a reading comprehension test at hiring.

We are a manufacture company that relies on our vendors to deliver materials as promised and paid for on time. We have used Sky Geek for three orders and you have failed miserably 1/3 of the time. These were small orders so the monetary value is not as important as the fact you can't get us the product we ordered. We will most certainly not be buying expensive material from you. This type of sealant is readily available from other vendors also.

You need to answer the phone & emails. Sending me an email saying your busy & will respond in 3 days is not good enough.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I put in an order after hours, but I need the item to ship out ASAP. I called the next morning and spoke with customer service. I explained my urgent need, and they told me that they would waive the Same Day Shipping fee to help me out, but shipping the item same day....THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Purchased product from Skygeek on…

Purchased product from Skygeek on 9/8/2020. At time of purchase, Skygeek does not tell you it will be weeks before you will receive your merchandise. As of 9/23 still have not received product that I was CHARGED for in advance. No way to communicate with this company other than email. Skygeek reply is could be up to 3 days to reply...wow.

Website tells me that product will ship on 9/15 but does not list tracking number. I do not believe it has shipped, nor has there been an update to tell me otherwise and you cannot talk with anyone to even know.

I needed this product now, not weeks later. I gave Skygeek a chance but see no reason why to purchase from them again. Horrible experience compared to just about any other online retailer I have purchased from.

Hi David,

I see the order was placed on 9/8 and the estimated ship date was listed as 9/22 in the order confirmation email, I see an updated status email was sent on 9/11 with this ESD. 
We have our phone number listed in our help center and we did receive your email support ticket on Monday afternoon: it typically takes 24-48 hours for us to respond, especially if we are contacting a supplier.  

We did hear back from the supplier today and there have been delays in shipping from the manufacturer to the supplier and therefore to us and you. The item is showing as backordered and shows it will take 38-41 business days.

I understand you may need this item immediately, but unfortunately, if an item is not showing stock in NY or available in 1-2 days, then there can very well be delays. We update the Estimated Ship Dates as we learn more and follow up on open orders, but as you saw, those dates can vary by up to a week.

I apologize for any confusion, I see you are working with Jason, please respond to the support thread if you need anything else.

Hi Bryce,

I do see your order was cancelled as the lead time for this item changed and the estimated ship date extended was extended to December. In these situations, we reach out to confirm you are OK with the new ship date before placing the order with the supplier, and if we cannot reach you, we will cancel the order and send a cancellation notification. The order can be re-placed online as you will see the part now has an 81-84 day lead time, and we can place the order with the supplier. We will always try to call first, and then email a few times so we can confirm you can wait a few more months as it likely needs to be manufactured and is delayed.

Great price for item ordered

Great price for item ordered. I use this item for work everyday.
Delivery took a long time, however in their defense giving them the benefit of the doubt
It was ordered halfway through the start of the pandemic and country shut down and it’s a disinfectant item so I’m contributing the slow delivery time to that. I also can’t remember if it was in stock or not at the time I placed the order. Most companies were out of any disinfectant supplies. I made another order for the same item so i’ll see if this order arrives faster.

I do see we were able to provide a full refund due to the product not working as anticipated. Unfortunately, the return process, especially to a supplier for an item we do not stock, can take a bit of time. For your security, we also do not keep credit card information on file past 30 days, and as the return process can sometimes take longer than 30 days, we do ask fora card to return the funds to. We have been changing both personnel and procedures to ensure we can expedite the process as much as possible. I do see you were very patient and hope we can provide a 5-star experience going forward.

No core return refund

I ordered an overhauled starter motor. There was a $200 core charge. There was no information with the starter indicating where to return the core to. After many, many attempts I was finally able to get shipping information from Skygeek for the core return. It was shipped the next day direct to Aviall and I received confirmation they received it. It has now been 3 more weeks and I have not received the $200 core refund. I have tried with phone messages (the phone is never answered and messages are not returned), sent emails, posted messages on their website and everything else I can think of. Still no joy. I give up. I will dispute the charge with the CC company.

DOW 1447050 SILASTIC RTV-4130-J

Purchased some Xiameter RTV 4130J. Label states it has a shelf life of 1 year. Attempted to cast some seals less then 2 months after purchasing and it is defective/won't cure.
Write customer service and come to find out that if the order is over 30 days any claims on a defective product are null.

Poor customer service, shady policy that isn't Clearly put out there. $100.00 flushed down the drain. Spend your money elsewhere if you want to be treated well.

Poorly run drop ship company

Poorly run drop ship company. First, if you come across a website for a company that does not list a phone number, be weary. You can google them and get it, but the do not post it on their website. They stock very little so be forewarned. I have been waiting for 20 days for my order...I called a few time and you rarely get a live person. The one time I did, he said I would probably get it last week...yeah, right! Stick to the big boys you are better off. Their website has a lot of bugs also. I received an order conformation number and a link to check on the status of the order. Every single time I click on the link, it says there is no such order. I have read in other reviews they have experienced the same issue. I am one and done with this company that is for sure.

We provide details for every product and list whether we have them in stock, or if there is a lead time associated with each item. Unfortunately, sometimes, and especially given the current environment, order items can be delayed by either the manufacturer or during shipment.

Wondering whether I got scammed...

Still waiting on my order, after weeks, with absolutely no information other than I was charged. Initially, I ordered an item that said it would ship in about 6 days. Then I got an update giving me a, much later, specific day that it would ship. Before that date, I got a tracking number and my order was on its way. Tracking number shows returned to sender immediately. I went through their review process that was emailed to me. No response. I emailed them. Still no response. All dates have come and gone, their web page says the order was filled and I have nothing and they have my money. They seem to be aware of their online reviews, so maybe I can get some answers by telling others about my experience. My only recourse after this is to report the fradulent charges to my card. Either way, I don't recommend them. Anyone can see from their reviews that this has been an ongoing issue for this company. I should have checked before I ordered.

UPDATE: I received an email on the 12th, stating they reached out to me with a new shipping date after the order was returned to them. This is absoluely not true. I received an email April 28th stating the order would be shipped out on the 8th. April 29th I received an email with a tracking number which ultimately was returned to the sender on the 30th. I responded to an email asking to rate the service on May 2nd and I responded that I had not received anything and the order shows it was returned. The first I heard from anyone was May 12th, one day after I posted reviews to try and get an answer. I was told it would be arriving on the 12th and it did not. It finally just got here on the 14th and IT IS NOT WHAT I ORDERED! I ordered 5 gallons and received one. Saga still continues.

I reached out independently with tracking information and do see your order is set to arrive today. I apologize if we did not acknowledge the shipment was returned the first time by UPS. I do see we sent an updated ship date. We are based in NY and so we are on a rotational schedule and try to respond to everyone within 24-48 hours. We also opened our second warehouse in KY which is helping to expedite orders especially for in-demand items such as this. We appreciate your patience and am sorry that your order experience was not as fluid as it should have been during these times. We hope that your order arrives via FedEx without any further delay as we re-shipped the 5 gallon pail from our NY warehouse as we do see you received the 1 gallon due to error on our part.

I ordered two items - have received one but not the other

I ordered two items: O-ring lubricant & batteries. I have received the lube but I have heard nothing about the batteries. The initial order said both items were out of stock, and the only concern I have is that I have heard nothing about a split shipment. I would be very happy to get an update on the 6 batteries in my order.
