Great instructors, clear teaching and ensuring every subject was fully understood.

Just want to say. I had a brilliant time on course. The group I was with were lovely. The information and the work we did was fantastic. A big thanks to Ian he made the course enjoyable. Thank you st John's amberlance

The session was delivered so well, I felt informed and supported. It was a great environment and I felt comfortable at all times.

The whole course could have been done in half of the time. The teacher was stretching the content of the lessons which was not necessary and apart from using the dummies and practising CPR I have not learned anything new which was not already covered on the pre - course online material.

Ross was an amazing Trainer, kept the room engaged, very knowledgeable and patient. He ensured every participant fully understood all of the content before moving on to the next module.

I attended a one day Emergency First Aid at Work training course (Sept 2026). From the outset, the instructor (Ghislaine) was very welcoming, friendly and genuinely interested in everybody's work and experiences. She was very informative and engaging and the course was presented very well, with a few laughs along the way which helped everyone relax, especially in the role play situations.
There were some real eye opening facts about first aid situations and it was great to experience the physical effort required for CPR as well as other first aid potential requirements.
The location (Fairfield House, Portsmouth) provided a great venue for the course. Although parking isn't readily available there were certain areas where parking was available in side streets etc but it's in a convenient enough location for bus, cycling, E-scooter etc. Toilets were clean. Tea and coffee and kitchen facilities available.
Fantastic course all round! Hope never to have to use the training but feel more confident now should it ever be needed.

staff were brilliant and the people i was on the course with were too, i was put on the course via my job to help assist the lead first aider on a suez site, so very dangerous for the public and staff. was enjoyable and look forward to a refresh in 3 years time.

The training was engaging, the instructor answered all of our questions and explained misconceptions.

A defibrillator was shown in practice.

I’ve just had my 3 day course with Iain Woodside in Liverpool. Wow something I wasn’t really looking forward to turned into a fun experience. The level of knowledge what Iain has is unbelievable also a giant boost in my confidence. The training he has given me and the delivery of the information was perfect. I could not recommend this enough, the things I’ve learnt will make everyday life a lot less scary. Again so happy I met Iain and so happy with what I’ve came away with. Thank you Iain Woodside!

Attended 2 day refresher course at Huntingdon, taken by Paula. Was a very good course, much improved from when I last did a course there many years ago (15+ years).

St John Ambulance First Aid Course with Michelle Beatson. Michelle was lovely and I learnt so much from this course. Would strongly recommend and would book again.

The whole course was brilliant. Chloe our trainer was really great, made the content fun and enjoyable which in turn made it memorable.

Also had a great group of people on the course!

Our first Aid Instructor was great and explained everything in a very clear and concise way.
