My experience with this business has been negative
My experience with this business has been extremely disappointing and frustrating.
The staff provided through SUMO were frequently absent or failed to perform any meaningful work. SUMO was supposed to ensure attendance and productivity tracking using the Time Doctor application, but whenever I requested attendance reports, call usage logs, or proof of work performed, there was either no response or the request was ignored. This lack of accountability is unacceptable.
Despite not being able to provide evidence of performance, the company was very quick and aggressive in chasing payments. Their billing practices are also unfair – even after providing a full month’s notice, they insist on charging clients until the end of the billing cycle. For example, if the billing cycle runs from the 1st to the 30th/31st and the notice period ends on the 9th, they still demand payment up to the 30th, which feels unreasonable and exploitative.
Another serious concern is how they treat their offshore staff. Clients are billed for the notice period when terminating staff, yet these payments are reportedly not passed on to the employees in the Philippines. This raises major ethical and compliance concerns about how this business operates.
While there may be a few individuals in the company who try to be helpful, the overall culture, management practices, and lack of transparency make it impossible to recommend working with this business. I would strongly urge potential clients to exercise caution and carefully consider alternatives before engaging with them.
