Dartford showroom

We made several visits to the showroom before purchasing, and the staff, especially Andy, were always very friendly and helpful. The delivery service was exceptional. We were kept well informed of delivery date and time and the men delivering were very professional, making sure everything was to our satisfaction.

Brilliant experience at Dartford Branch

From the moment we entered the shop the experience was lovely. We was not pestered just approached to say that they was available if we needed any assistance. Andy at Dartford was extremely helpful and knowable.

Extremely disappointed

We originally placed an order in December 2025 for a three-piece sofa suite consisting of a 3-seater, 2-seater and 1-seater. After waiting approximately 4 months for delivery, the order finally arrived in May 2026. Unfortunately, while the 3-seater and 2-seater were correct, the 1-seater delivered was completely the wrong colour.
At the time of delivery, we were advised by the delivery team to accept the furniture and that they would report the issue back to Head Office. Following this, I also contacted the store directly by phone and sent an email with photographs clearly showing the incorrect item.
The only communication I subsequently received was a reorder confirmation, with no explanation, no apology, and no clarification on what would happen next.
As a result, I visited the store personally today to seek answers regarding:
Whether only the incorrect 1-seater would be replaced or the entire suite.
How long the replacement process would take.
I was then informed that the entire order would need to be replaced and that delivery could take up to a further 12 weeks.
To say I am disappointed is an understatement. We now face a potential total wait time of approximately eight months for furniture that was ordered in good faith and fully paid for last year. In addition to the significant inconvenience, the lack of proactive communication throughout this process has been extremely frustrating and falls far below the level of customer service I would expect.

Firstly, We would like to apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment caused by this. We completely understand how disappointing it is to wait so long for your furniture, only for part of the order to arrive incorrectly.

At the moment, the estimated arrival date into our distribution centre is 12/08/2026. As soon as the replacement order arrives and we will be in touch to arrange delivery date with you.

The gentleman serving us was very…

The gentleman serving us was very professional and pleasant. The delivery time of circa 12 weeks spoiled the experience.

Need to do better with delivery times.

I am sorry that the delivery lead time is longer than you may have hoped for. Our furniture is all made to order and so we do provide an estimated arrival date to our Distribution Centre.
As soon as the order is ready then we will reach out with the first available delivery date.

A delightful experience at Poltronesofa

I found their behaviour calm and easy to converse with and felt so comfortable I returned the following day and purchased an Armchair.

Visited 2 stores, what a difference.

Visited 2 stores.
First one (Thurrock, Lakeside) was way too pushy and I head 'Italian Leather' about 20 times.
Second store (Dartford) was much better. Seemed to get it right and did not hound us.
Guess where we bought the sofa.

It's a shame that the pdf invoice emailed to me did not actually say which sofa we bought. So I had yo phone abd check. When questioned the store rep. just said "yeah it always comes like that, we complain but nothing ever happens".

When I ordered the sofas at the…

When I ordered the sofas at the Dartford branch I explained about the access to my property.
So when the delivery date came and all was going well I got rid of my old sofas so was clear for delivery.
Driver called 20 mins before arrival so I informed them with direction for delivery, but got reply that the vehicle was to big to get to the delivery point, with this I gave them another option to park a little further away and walk round with a trolley, there was 2 delivery persons with a trolley but they refused to attempt delivery within the lines of health and safety, but my original furniture was delivered this way before with no problem.
The driver then said would be returned to Basildon dept and will rebook in a smaller vehicle, I called the Dartford store but the response I got back was not really any help and was told I would be contacted by a manager but never got a call.
A few days later I got a email to say going to redeliver on the Thursday, called the contact number to say that no one would be at my property on that day, and I was still awaiting for a manager to call.
Again I was ignored and the deliver just went ahead, so I luckily was able to get my neighbour to get entry to my home,
Again the driver messaged me approx 20 mins before, but the time came and was contacted again from driver saying he could not deliver due to access as was sent in a larger vehicle again.
With this I contacted the manager at Dartford expressing my disgust in the service, the manager who was the only one that apologised and looked straight into it, she called me back and the only way I could get my furniture was to get a courier to deliver it from which I had to pay and claim the money back from a link online from which I may add ive still not received.
So overall the service has been the worst ever, no customer service just didn't care,

In regards to your refund I can see that this has been requested via our online portal.
An email was sent to you on 01/05/26 with a secure link attached. You would need to complete this form and submit your details back to us for the refund to be actioned. We do not keep a record of any payment information to be able to refund automatically.
