Wonderful staff, kind and very helpful. Would recommend, help me choose a gorgeous pair of glasses.

Basically they are a good company, professional and well maintained premises, quiet and clear.

The front of house staff I usually find are not overly friendly. They don’t often smile, they don’t appear to have much of a sense of humour and they can sometimes be difficult to really connect with. I do wish they would be more receptive, more open to greeting people with a smile and a warmth which is often lacking. One good point is their location is well placed and they are always quiet.

I recently went into Scrivens in Broadstone to get some information about booking an eye test , extras included & eye care health .
I was greeted by a friendly lady named Claire , she was very professional, knowledgeable, answered all my questions
I was very impressed with her , & came away very satisfied with the excellent information she gave ..

Visited for a hearing test and to receive new hearing aids today as mine were well out of date.
I cannot fault the service i was given. The lady i saw was called Kay and she was probably the best proffesional person i have seen. Kay explained everything in great detail in terms i could understand she is a credit to Scrivens and i would not hesitate to recommend them.
I then saw a lady called Kathy who talked me through the app and set my phone up she was very patient and very pleasant. I came away feeling very satisfied with the service i received. Thankyou.

I've been attending this branch for many years and have found the staff to be both friendly and professional. They always follow through on their offers of help if any frames or prescriptions are not working for you. Excellent service.

I recently attended an NHS hearing test at Scrivens in Tonbridge. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and I had my hearing aids fitted the same day. Truly excellent service with no attempt to sell their own products over the standard NHS units.

The service I had today was exceptional! I have hearing aids from the bedminster Bristol branch . Today I came in for my very first eye test in a long time, so I need reading and long distance glasses. I was recommended varifocals by sunita , I was wary of the costs , but having being so informative and helpful and considering I drive and struggle to read addresses on the paper work and at the moment switching from two different glasses for reading and distance then varifcols was recommended. Thank you to sunita for your help and patience and care and thank you to Sophia for your care and patience also . A wonderful team and the true professionalism of everyone including the skilled and helpful optician , but sorry I didn’t get his name. Can’t wait to pick up my glasses 👓 and I know it will make my life easier and better ❤️🙏

Everything was explained upfront and the eye test was very thorough. I’d highly recommend.

Excellent service as usual from Scrivens Broadstone today. Courteous, efficient and knowledgeable staff. I have been coming here for many years due to the excellent care I have received. Staff are always polite, helpful and knowledgeable. They always give a warm, friendly welcome. They also give excellent advice if you need to chose new frames. I would thoroughly recommend using this branch.

I experienced outstanding service from the team at the Tonbridge branch of Scrivens.

I had a free hearing test on 23rd April with audiologist, Harry, who examined my ears and conducted a technical test of both ears. He showed me a graph of my hearing for each ear. Both ears showed a lack of hearing at higher frequencies which I understand is fairly common with people of my age - 80 at my next birthday.

Harry then contacted my GP and obtained approval for a hearing aid for both ears to be covered by the NHS and arranged an appointment for me to have these fitted on the 8th May. He fitted the hearing aids and checked they were working correctly.

He then introduced me to Claire who showed me how to fit the hearing aids as well as how to identify the right from the left, turn the devices on and off, replace the batteries and clean the hearing aids etc. I was not rushed and was given plenty of time to ensure I could confidently carry out all of the operations as well as how to install an app on my phone to assist in their day-to-day use. I left with the hearing aids, a six-month supply of batteries, and a pouch to keep them in. I was told that if I was to experience any problems, to just pop into the store and ask.

I felt the benefit as soon as I got into my car: I could hear the indicators notification at a much-improved volume than previously. I also feel the benefit when watching the television at home with the volume set four notches lower but actually hearing more - no need for sub-titles anymore! It is also much easier to have a conversation with friends in a pub when there is a lot of extraneous background noise.

These hearing aids are extremely beneficial as well as being comfortable. After a few days I can now fit the aids without using a mirror.

I would like to thank Harry, Claire and Tom for their kind, and outstanding welcome and service which has significantly improved my hearing with hearing aids that are comfortable as well as fairly discreet.
