Found the perfect rug that fits my space and decor flawlessly.

This was a great experience all the way through. Thank you so much for sending samples when I panicked that the colours clashed with our furniture! The website is amazing: so much choice, size, shape and colour. The customer service was excellent. The finished rug is wonderful - a piece of artwork!

The rug looks fantastic in my dining room. The colour is perfect and the size fits the space beautifully. The whole process, from browsing to delivery, was easy and efficient and the customer service was amazing.

First, let us say that Rug Couture was very easy to work with on the design, production and shipment of our rugs from India. We ordered an 8x10ft and 11x13ft rug in supposedly very durable Pet Yarn (recycled plastic) in January 2024. Customer Service was helpful, courteous, and communicative throughout this part of the process. We give them 5 stars for this part of our order. The price paid, many thousands of dollars, was for production of the rugs and delivery to our door.

The first issue was completing delivery to our door in February 2024. We live in a high rise condo, of which they were aware, and the rugs would have to be delivered through the back dock. We were assured by their carrier (GS2 Logistics) that our rugs would be delivered to our unit door, no problem (both via email and phone conversation). Well, it became a HUGE problem - the larger rug was apparently crated and they did not want to de-crate the rug and bring it to our unit. They wanted to leave it at the back dock for us to deal with. After much discussion, the carrier eventually did de-crate the rug and bring it to our unit, but they later wanted us to pay $795 for the de-crating and to the door delivery. We told them repeatedly that they needed to contact Rug Couture for this payment. We were not responsible for any extra charges, as we were told that delivery to our door was included in the price of the rug. We received multiple calls and email from the carrier trying to get us to pay. It was a very aggravating situation, especially given the price of the rugs. The last email I received in June 2024 was still trying to get us to pay for the additional charges.

The second, more major issue, is how the rugs are wearing. We were told that Pet Yarn, which is made from recycled plastic, is very "hardwearing, does not shed and is quite similar to the wool rug look...". That is a quote from our customer service rep. That is definitely not how these rugs are wearing. It is just my husband and I and our two 9 pound maltipoos. We do not ever wear shoes in our home. There have been no spills or accidents of any kind on these rugs. In the traffic areas, like in front of our couch, the rug is compressing, rug fibers are shedding and it looks absolutely terrible! I contacted Rug Couture in May 2024 (the rugs were 3 months old, mind you) and sent pictures and expressed concern about the wear we were seeing on virtually brand new rugs. The response we received from Rug Couture was that "due to the higher pile height we picked, we may see more compression. The way a rug wears can vary from customer to customer, as it largely depends on how and where the rug is used." They said that they were sorry we were not happy with the performance of the rugs, but they will not offer a replacement or re-imbursement of any kind. Basically, too bad you spent a large sum of money on rugs that are 3 months old and are showing extreme wear in traffic areas!!!

I WOULD BE VERY WARY OF THIS COMPANY!!! They do not stand behind their products, even though they are supposed to be a "high end" rug provider.

**** Update as of 08/16/2024 ****
I wanted to provide an update since Rug Couture reached out to me after I placed this review. They offered to pay for a professional cleaning of our rugs and I again explained that the rugs are only 6 months old and especially since we do not wear shoes in our home, they are not dirty at all. The problem is that they are not wearing well. They are packed and shedding fibers in our traffic zones. Rug Couture then offered to reimburse us 10% off the price of our living room rug, which is showing the most wear. We appreciate that they reached out and that they tried to make the situation better by giving us 10% back. We accepted the offer and thanked them. Wear is still an issue and they will not take the rugs back, so we will live with it for awhile and then move on when they look too bad.

Easy to use website. Lots of choice. Helpful team when I called them.
Once order placed update emails made the service really good.
Order arrived within given timescales and the rug is beautiful and v well made.
Colours are also a good match to the website.
However, lost a star rating as the rug came a little larger than expected and didn't fit the 'door well' it was intended for.
I was offered a 5% discount. The rug now sits in another room - not the intended one. Shame!

Very nice colour and good design a quality product

The whole process was easy, excellent communication between rug couture and myself and nothing was too much trouble if I had questions regarding delivery. Incidentally, I love the rug!

Although the waiting time was rather frustrating ( 8 weeks) when my rug was finally delivered I was very happy. Looks great on my floor.

The consultation process was spot on. I wanted to be absolutely sure the colours were right and so did they! The communication through the process was prompt and great and the rug ended up being exactly what I ordered and it looks great. Very happy!

Great selection of designs, the online tools are really helpful in showing what they’ll look like with your chosen colours. Loads of colours to choose from. Samples arrived quickly and were very accurate. Getting the rug took exactly as long ad they’d stated, customer service were helpful with questions re delivery. Really good quality rug. The only small improvement would be to make it easier to find the names of the colours in the tool

It was easy to make pattern and colour selections. Every effort was made to ensure we were happy with our choices, prior to actual production. There was good communication regarding shipping and delivery. We are delighted with the appearance and quality of the rug and have received many compliments on our purchase.
