First concert and impressed !!
Just got back from our first RockSteady concert which was such great fun ! My son has only been going to practice for a few weeks but still put on an amazing performance with his band (although i maybe slightly bias!) Daz has worked wonders with my son and seeing him interact with the kids on the stage (and the audience !) i can see why - he's fantastic and a credit to Rocksteady !!

I have three children who have all done…
I have three children who have all done rocksteady through primary school. I think it’s an amazing programme for their confidence. They have had various band leaders who all seem so passionate about music and helping the children’s skills grow.
My elder two are now at senior school but I really feel rocksteady helped them feel comfortable on stage and perform in front of people which is such a great skill for their future! We have just watched my
Youngest concert today and seeing all the kids excitement, bravery and confidence was amazing!

Excellent extra curricular opportunity
Daz is a fantastic, patient and kind teacher. He understands the diverse needs of every child at our school and works alongside them all so they can achieve their best. Not only do they learn something new each week that they build on, their confidence and love of music goes from strength to strength. We have received lots of positive feedback form our parents about the concert and we are very much looking forward to our next event!

Great experience for all the children who participate. It is really lovely to see them perform on stage in front of parents, siblings, teachers and classmates. A wonderful opportunity for some children to come out of their shell and become more confident.

First show
Saw my son’s first show last week and it’s amazing how much the kids have learned in 10 weeks. Was really impressed with all of the students. Well done to everyone involved!

My son loves rocksteady
My son loves rocksteady. He is always excited to do his lessons on a Friday, only thing he loves to go to school for. He had his first concert the other day and brought tears to my eyes… was amazing. His learning to play guitar and is now getting one for home for Christmas. All staff are friendly and my son gets on well with them which is great to hear. I would definitely recommend it. Great to see my child enjoy something else rather than just football. Would like to say thank you.

Good fun
Our eldest has really enjoyed being in a band, working as a team, and getting to perform. Robert's an enthusiastic leader and all the kids who performed seemed to really enjoy it!

Waste of money
Waste of money. We are paying a monthly fee for our child to learn 5 lines. She learns way more through youtube. On top, today is performance day. There was a build up. I even coordinated my parents to join....and last minute an email comes thru to inform us that the show is postponed. Not only has rocksteady disappointed me but also my child who is now upset... and parents who cancelled their other appointment. Why not have back up? I am so disappointed with the whole experience. Quite frankly, I want my money back!

Please accept our sincere apologies that your child’s end of term concert has had to be postponed. We understand how much children look forward to showcasing their new skills to friends and family, and appreciate that arrangements are often made ahead of time for family to attend.
When your usual band leader is unable to lead a concert, we’ll always do everything we can to find a cover teacher, but unfortunately on this occasion it wasn’t possible to do so. Please be assured we are looking at potential new dates for your child's concert to take place, and we'll be in touch as soon as something is booked.
Rocksteady’s unique way of teaching focuses on learning to play together as a band by teaching fundamentals such as timing and synchronisation, alongside introducing instrument and vocal technique and performance skills. This not only improves children musical skills but also supports teamwork, social skills and encourages new friendships.

My son has been learning to play the drums with Rocksteady. I cant believe the progress he has made of the last 8 weeks. He has also taken part in his first Rocksteady concert which was fantastic.
My sons teacher is great and has got to know him and how he learns. The feed back is weekly and you even get to see a video on line of him in his lesson.
The teacher responds to emails promptly.
I cant not fault them at all..... Just to add if you have a child with an SEND need Rocksteady are inclusive and support all to take part and flourish through music.

Rocksteady is excellent

Missed lessons, payments still taken
So far have paid over £85 for the 30 minute lessons. Only two lessons have been delivered.
The last three lessons have been cancelled - the second lesson was cancelled 15 mins before the lesson started!
When you contact them you receive a cut and paste reply apologising and stating you’ll still get your 32 (or whatever the pro rata number is) lessons. Offering extra lessons (when they have no teacher), never mind nothing has been taught for three weeks!
Well only one more lesson before Christmas is possible and then they’ll want another £40+ direct debit so these will be very expensive lessons!
Other parents equally unhappy with the abysmal service be warned.

Thank you for your feedback and please accept our sincere apologies for the disruptions to your child’s lessons this term.
We understand how much children look forward to their band lessons, and how important a consistent learning environment is for their musical progress. Whenever a band leader is unable to teach, we do everything we can to arrange a cover teacher to minimise disruption and maintain progress but unfortunately, this isn’t always possible.
Within the academic year (Sept -July), there are 36-39 teachable weeks that band lessons could be available to you. We know things like unexpected band leader sickness may occur during the year, so to account for this, your monthly subscription guarantees a minimum of 33 lessons (including the termly concerts) each year, or the equivalent amount based on when your child started Rocksteady.

My son loves being part of a band and DAZ has made a big impact on him. The Rocksteady Christmas concert was amazing, my son loved being part of it and we loved watching it. DAZ has amazing energy which makes all the difference.
