I experienced excellent service at Red Dog Music in Edinburgh when buying Les Paul guitar. Specialist of the staff was called in to inform me about different types and the main difference from one to another, i.e. pointed out the characteristics of each of them. I got all the time to think, could try and here and to make my own decision without any pressure. As I'm living abroud I also recieved a full help in making the report to Custom etc. Everything was taking care of in open and warm atmosphere and professional service.

I ordered a triple pack of Elixir 80/20, acoustic, 12-53 nanoweb guitar strings from Red Dog Music at a very competitive price, John from Red Dog emailed me back almost immediately to say that the triple packs were out of stock, but they could supply them in three single packs for the same price if that was acceptable.

I replied straight away to say that was totally acceptable, they emailed me back and thanked me for the reply and said that they had processed the package and the strings would be with me soon, well the next day I was informed that DPD would deliver the strings within an hour window.

The strings were delivered as promised and I consider this as first class service, I will certainly be using Red Dog Music again and I would highly recommend them.

The team in the Edinburgh store have been absolutely world class, amazing knowledge & great support. The store itself is amazing and so much to demo & purchase. These guys do what the Internet will never be able to do and that’s give real sound advice with such great passion for what they do!!

Without planning to, I put the guys at Red Dog Edinburgh through their paces and tried their patience by ordering the wrong banjolele (yes, I know many would say there is no right banjolele) because I didn't check the pics. But the courtesy, nay, friendliness and speed, with which they replaced it with the one I'd wanted, rather than beating me about the skull with the first one was very impressive. So much so that I bought a cajón on a whim. So I'd say shopping there is actually an enjoyable experience and I'm wondering what exotic instrument to play terribly next ... Thanks!

Can't fault the service. I bought a Roland 'Go Piano' as it was the only kind of keyboard I have room for in my study. Despite being a low-end purchase, I was very impressed by the enthusiasm of the staff in your Edinburgh shop who made sure that the order was processed efficiently. I would definitely recommend Red Dog Music.

I had never used red dog before but I decided to make an expensive purchase with them having seen these reviews. I had some issues with my order once it arrived and a member of staff named John was nothing short of amazing in helping me get my issues resolved. I ended up returning my item for credit and I purchased different items instead. All throughout the process I was given brilliant pre-sales and after sales advice. The guys here really know their stuff and you won't regret spending money with them

Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful staff who show great patience in helping choose an instrument or accessory. Sometimes selection is limited in store but they’re happy to order. Decent prices. Would be nice to see a woman working there but besides that Red Dog is a go-to in Edinburgh.

i ordered a TGI powerbox for a pedalboard that came as a present and i couldn't believe how expensive the makers own brand power supplies were. This was the perfect solution at a reasonable price point and was delivered quickly with no fuss. Good job Red Dog!
